Well if you drove the junior, it wasn't ridiculously OP and unrealistic. It only hit 150 mph. I think this years X1s sound promising.
To add on to this, Devil, the X14 Junior is the most respected X1 series car because of the fact that nothing bad can come from it. The way it corners and accelerates with real racing conditions make it one of the funnest cars to race with in the game.

Deafinatley one of, if not the best addition to the Gran Turismo series since number 4 added the Nurburgring and the Sauber!

Why do people even want to drive those dumb x cars anyway? I just want community features.
Cuz' the Junior X2014 is the most realistic X1 from the Gran Turismo series. It's not really fast but it's a fun car to race with. I love to drive it around Motegi and Matterhorn :). And it has a nice sound as all X1s in GT6. :O

Topic: I guess I got to go to sleep and when I wake up to check the Gran Turismo website. ;)

But once again, even though it's assumed, there was no confirmed time of what timezone the Vettel challenge is in. I honestly think it's like that so that it would release somewhere January 1st, could be now. Could be 11:59pm in Hawaii. We are assuming it is now synced with the seasonals, are you with me this far, as I know it is a bit confusing.

Wow now comes the moment of condescension! All because a particular few didn't notice that one page said one thing while a different page says another! Does this mean its time for me to turn around and point out to you that it is quite easy to miss the section pertaining to the time frame set out in the notifications section. Therefore those that came to this thread to ask why it wasn't open or read to see if it had been answered so far have every right to gripe about the fact that they were misinformed. All the while they keep having it pointed out to them when it will be as if they are illiterate, even though this has no longer been the issue for a few pages (you still keeping up? Shall I sloow dowwwn) the issue turned into how hard could it be to have written "This event will open 3am GMT 2/1/14" instead of "This event will open January 1st 2014" While we won't get into a discussion of misinformation, it is thus not the best option for them to have written down. I'll stop now before some chap ends up with a brain aneurysm

What. :odd:

It didn't say on the box that I have to live in a certain time zone to have the right content delivered to me.
I hate to tell you this, but all it says on the box is "add-on" content. IF this is an update, which isn't any charge to you, it doesn't count as "add-on content". It's simply a generous move to the customer base. There isn't any sort of time stamp WHEN it'll appear. What if this whole thing is above your understanding and more of a error on Sony's part for not passing the update on time?

The less you expect, the better. Be patient. PD could pull a Activision and charge you for the small minor add-on's.

Man, I'd really hate to see you people in the late 80's & early 90's with video games.

Hi dragon! :)

I'd really hate to see you people in the late 80's & early 90's with video games.

Or if their wives/girlfriends got pregnant and the doctor told them it's due on a specific date, as they tend to do!

There actually is a timestamp saying when it will appear.
I could provide a walkthrough on how to find it if you want.

I have always thought that fictional cars are kind of weird in a "sim" game. Thats not to say that I would have them removed I just think real cars are more interesting.

I know, right? Those were the good old days of video gaming.👍

In the those days you couldn't promise a game with a track editor and then not include it, vaguely stating it will be added some time later.
When a game went gold that was what you got.

Now every game has to be patched the first day. This is not a good thing from any perspective.

Seriously, could you just give it a rest already. It is clear that you only want to cry and complain about things now. Just because you may not understand things or they don't go the way you had hoped, doesn't give you that right to bash things or be all negative about the situation. You really need to relax, the world isn't ending. (At least for now anyway.)

I'm more than aware of it. Unfortunately for you, I'm not micro-analyzing it.

These games are also about 20 to 30 times larger, have insanely complex designs, require more men & women working hours, and even then it can't be met with demand. The patches first day is the stuff implanted of what couldn't be met before publish.

Open your mind.

I love some realistic fiction, since there's a bit of a hole in the racing genre. There are realistic games with realistic cars, and then there are games with fantasy cars and fantasy physics. I really like having fictional cars with believable physics; I'm more excited about future Vision GT cars than real-world additions to be honest.

PD may have given us a proper date but not in-game, january 1st 2014 date in the game is very confusing, people do have the right to complain about this.

Imagine your friend telling you he will pay back the money he owes you on january 1st and brings it at 3am or january 2nd, we shouldn't flip out about it, but people do havethe right to be a little angry, those offending these people need to realise that not everyone has a lot free time in life.

My attempt at de-escalating the thread has gone unobserved, but what will complaining/arguing/attacking each other get us?

The only thing I see happening is Kaz booting up GTP, reading this thread, and saying "wow, they're saying I'm/we're probably hungover. I'm no drunken slob. I'm going back to bed..."

I blame EA and Obama for this - both are equally responsible and probably collaborated on the matter. I have no evidence yet but you can - as my grandpa used to say "smell a fart when it's windy". :sly:

:p

This thread is hilarious. I cannot believe the number of gushing sycophants racing to defend PD's honour by attempting to redefine how the calender works. It takes a 'special' type of mind to relentlessly and irrationally insist that January 1st actually occurs on the following day.

Nonetheless, we are deep into January 2nd now. Perhaps those worshiping at the alter can stop and take time to come up with a new way of defining January 1st as January 3rd... or 4th.

I'm not sure about you lot, but I'm getting some practice in with the X2010 in preparation for the event instead of moping around wondering why it isn't released yet.

well they clearly haven't made themselves clear or at least the majority of people here don't pay attention.
Read the notifications on you gt6 home screen. Everything is pretty much spelled out in there. Besides thats what its there for.

:indiff: why waste your credits on the X2010/X2011? There's no career event for it, and no seasonals and no online events - it's the car you will never get to use...

That's why we want to see the X2014 - we might actually get to use it.
