I've had the new events for an hour now, just came on here looking for some tips.
That's real info, but I don't have the events yet, just had to throw some fuel on the fire.

Maybe where you are, but it's still the 1st here. That's what you and a few others need to realize, it can't be the same day everywhere in the world. 👍 And by the way, just because I understand things, doesn't make me worshiping at the alter, as you say. Stop to think ok, if PD said these will be released on the 1st, then maybe they were basing that time in a time zone where it is going to be the 1st, which would obviously mean that it would be the 2nd in some parts of the world. No matter what date they give, its going to be off by a day for people in some parts of the world because, like I said, its not going to be the same day for everyone in every part of the world.

Right now midnight has passed Europe and the remaining part of the world still experiencing January 1 is the American continents this means that 86% of the world's population are now "one day ahead" of the rest.
Though it does appear that we are years ahead of some people.

As has been restated for the past eight pages PD is aiming for 10pm (American) EST = 3am GMT
rtfm

And that's what I've been saying all along. I just didn't include that part that time because I wanted to see if he could figure it out himself.

Maybe what you need to realise is that I said nothing about the timing of the release, and only commented on the hilarious attempts to redfine the mechanics of the calender. I am fully aware how time zones work having travelled the world for the past 30 years.

Aside from that, everything you say, while possibly correct, is pure speculation. As you "understand things" and are free to speculate, which time zone do you think PD was using?
The truly funny thing is I see no hilarious attempts at redefining the calendar. Only some old bloke who thinks that people trying to justify something is funny.

Ten pages of people complaining about not having them yet, thought I'd post something different. Unfortunately I can't take pictures because a bear ate my phone last night while I was partying in Times Square.
I hate when that happens to me.

If a sizeable portion that 86% actually played GT6 then figure might matter.

I'm more than aware of it. Unfortunately for you, I'm not micro-analyzing it.

These games are also about 20 to 30 times larger, have insanely complex designs, require more men & women working hours, and even then it can't be met with demand. The patches first day is the stuff implanted of what couldn't be met before publish.

Open your mind.

Yes, I agree, in the future we will all be happy to buy blank discs because we appreciate how hard it is to actually create something that works.

I can see why you would want to patch something like an open world game such as GTA soon after release, it's just not possible to test every scenario during development.
But releaseing a game with so many bugs, flaws and errors just in the user interface is laughable. There aren't a million different ways to operate the menus, just going through the UI once is enough to detect these things.

Yes, it was also singing......now that I think about it maybe it wasn't a bear, I think Miley took it or maybe I was just wasted and lost it while watching her twerk.
You might need to see a doctor for that. Think they deduced that as VMAN1 or something of the likes...

I'm as excited as everyone else, but other than the Redbull X2014 events (that I probably won't do, because I bet they are impossible), I bet the Seasonal is just a simple time trial that it probably take just four minutes to gold. And that's it...

Still crossing fingers for a patch, but I've learned not to expect much.

Married are you? Try telling your partner that her anniversary gift is in fact not a day late, because it's still your anniversary somewhere in the world. Let me know how you get on.

Holly crap. Are we really doing this GTPlanet? Is this thread really a thing? Nearly 300 posts because a set of seasonal events might show up on the 2nd in your time zone instead of the 1st? Does anyone else see a problem with this? There's probably a diagnosis for this kind of behavior.

Everybody, just breath. Wooooosssssssaaaaaa.

I've pretty much been promised a patch by some of the other guys in this thread.

My initial expectations were to play the new Red Bull events on New Years day. With the guys in this thread telling me they've delayed it to include a ton other things I'm expecting a full-blown track editor, livery editor, and maybe even to be able to rotate the car in the shop!

I'm not disputing the balance of majority, but that figure is incomplete. The USA does not constitute the whole of the Americas.

Also, trying to figure out which majority is in which day at different "times" is hurting my head. The sun is going down on the West of the Americas, and rising in Asia somewhere. In between those two points, the date changes. :banghead:
Holy crap are you seriously trying to justify the idea that the world revolves around USA time zones? Good job perpetuating your national stereotype buddy

If you're comparing a game update to an anniversary present then I think you're taking this way too seriously.

Aside from that, I think any half-sane wife would be understanding of receiving a present a day late.

C'mon course maker! (Doubt it though)

Try again in English please.
For someone implying that they're capable of using sarcasm, your ability to perceive it is extraordinarily limited.
Consider seeing a counselor about autism, they typically have strategies to help you begin to comprehend the behavior of others.

The game is so boring this is all we have to look forward too.
