I really like the detail of the seat.I like the rusty exhaust and the fuel tank or should I say a used 5litre oil tub held on with carpet tape

Coincided to tempt more GT5 players to buy GT6, perhaps? Can anyone comment (speculate) on the connection between ending the online part of gt5 and this update? Is there any connection?
You got it spot on.Coincided to tempt more GT5 players to buy GT6, perhaps?
I agree with you. I do believe it's fair to assume both were planned to go together marketing wise. What about software/hardware restrictions, or functionalities that this new content could bring that weren't possible before due to gt5? Or what I am saying is only proof of my lack of knowledge regarding the way games+internet are engineered?Coincided to tempt more GT5 players to buy GT6, perhaps?
Am I the only one surprised we haven't got a revised Spa from the '80s? Senna won that race in 1985!
I'm not that surprised, as that would take a lot more remodelling than the equivalent Monza and Brands tracks. Everything from Blanchimont to the Start/Finish line is completely different to the '85 version. Not only is the track layout different but even the landscaping around it is much different, unlike Brands and Monza which mainly have had changes made within the original constraints of the track barriers.
I'm quite familiar with that era of karting. I believe Senna used a DAP T70, Rotary valve. At the time the World Karting Championship was the 100cc class. DAP was a new manufacturer at the time and I think it was an acronym for D'Angelo Parilla (sp?). There was no clutch, it was direct drive, bump start, if you spun and stalled on the track you had to pick the kart up by the rear bumper, run with it, drop it and hop in. Loads of fun.I've had another look. The brakes are rear-axle specific, as with the Jr., 100, and 125.
The axle looks to be a fully solid axle. If this is well-implemented, the kart will shunt/bind in corners as it did in the 80s. This is the main difference between 80s karts and modern karts.
So, wait, it actually is a Briggs & Stratton engine?!!!!!!!!!!
I'm excited now. All we need is Honda 200s.
Actually, I can't tell which manufacturer it is, but it is definitely two-stroke. The intake is into the crankcase, not the cylinder head. I looked it up on Google.
Here is my question, why has the FIA made the chicanes so sharp now (like a nose) compared to the chicanes in this picture and the old bus stop at Spa Francochamps that look so much better and challenging?
Edit: The second chicane appears to be the same, the Lesmos appear to be smoother and not a rough. If only Monza today and many other tracks were like the ones during this era.

This. I've got to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. TBH I was expecting one car, a Seasonal TT, a few pictures and a brief summary of his career, perhaps incorporated into the car description.80's makeovers for Brands Hatch and Monza, the Lotus 97T, Senna's 1978 Go-kart, already more than I was expecting, well done PD.

The course maker could do something for that.Too bad that when this Senna stuff is released and everyone has played everything, they will go back to complaining about how terrible the core of the game is (unless one of the features on the GT website is released soon after, which will restore people's faith in PD, which I highly doubt).
Whilst I agree the AI REALLY needs addressing, there is no reason to believe the release of the Senna content will be the time that would happen. Is there? I think not unless every AI is turned into a representation of Ayrton's driving style. No mention of ai? Surely should see a upgrade
The open-wheel cars in the game get that detail done to them. When Senna raced at Spa, there was an actual 'Bus Stop' chicane. Now its just a right and a left.
Not sure if its just the picture being extra detailed, but the insides of the wheels are modeled on Senna's kart. *Future proof![]()

Looks more like a Parilla 100cc motor. Very excited for the kart! So, wait, it actually is a Briggs & Stratton engine?!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed. The Course Maker is honestly all I need. I will never complain again, trust me.The course maker could do something for that.

This was the thought I was just having.
What they've got planned so far sounds pretty great, and I suspect there's more to be revealed. It'll be fantastic fun to play through.
But once I have played through it, there's not going to be anything more holding me to the game than there is now. The Senna DLC will be excellent fun, but it's at best a little game in it's own right. It doesn't affect the main game in any way.
Parilla's of the day had a semi-circular cylinder head.Looks more like a Parilla 100cc motor. Very excited for the kart!
You did say Parilla firstParilla's of the day had a semi-circular cylinder head.
Nope, I said DAP, which I believe is an acronym for D'Angelo Parilla (sp?) A separate company from Parilla. You did say Parilla first![]()
... Pretty sure that one is a renamed re-brand... Isn't it?Nope, I said DAP, which I believe is an acronym for D'Angelo Parilla (sp?) A separate company from Parilla.

Same here bud.Indeed Toko.
That`s my number 1 most wanted thing ever for GT6.
Never thought I would miss Mt. Aso and Toscana so much.![]()
