So 1.11 is out are we happy?

I'm about 65% there. It's good to see some improvements.

The new races are nice but I'm not a big fan that they are so tied to fuel management. I understand that it might be "realistic" but it's not very fun to be honest. I want to race but inevitably I find myself looking at the fuel gauge far more than at the road ahead. And don't get me wrong, I think there is a place for such races in the game, but these have become the meta money grinders and it's a little annoying since it takes attention away from trying to race well. I just wish we got something that requires less "attention" to grind credits. Really was hoping for a Daytona race or another SSX race or maybe higher payouts for rally races.

I welcome the change to the used dealership, but I actually preferred to have just the 5 cars in legendary. It just feels like the grind just doubled lol. I was on with the slower legendary pace that we had before. Maybe the second time around, up the speed but first time just feels like there's even more pressure to grind.

Nice step in the right direction. The 1 hour race at the Red Bull Ring this morning for $1.2M was not only fun but a nice reward.

It's a great update. Grind today makes me happy. I have got 3*727,500 for 3 first places and clear race on Sandegna WTC800, and I have got more then 1,500,000 for Circuit Experience.
I have bought cool car McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97.

There are only several things to be fixed:
1. Too low prizes for custom and arcade races (about 30,000cr for 10 lap race with Hard diffculty AI; the same race events give near 160,000cr).
2. Not all WTC800 events give the same win money. Some 10-lap-race gives 168,000cr and another 15-lap race gives more then 450,000cr. It's the same mistake and reason to take part in the same 2-3 events. I don't understand why Kaz can't use calculator to make equal money in all events. For example, Money for race = difficulty coefficient * average time to complete the race.

Were any red chilli races added? Anyone know? Haven't had a chance to look.

More events is good I guess, but if they are all the same "chase the rabbit" with half lap rolling starts then meh. Might race em for the coin, but tbh, rather not.

Rage quit on me or whatever young people do these days but this game will forever be tainted in my eyes.

It will always be the £80 game that wanted me to spend money to buy cars like a free to play android game.

I don't actually care what they did today to correct matters because I know what's in their heart. They rigged the system towards microtransactions but didn't anticipate the backlash.

GT7 will always be the game that bent to the corruption inherent in the world. A flagrant money grabbing diseased title ruining the game's history. When good people bent over to marketing and PR and greed.

The game is swimming in the filth and putrid offal of modern gaming.

Of course we don’t know what’s going or not going on in their offices…same as you.
I'm guessing that @R1600Turbo was referring to the irony in this post...
No way, Multiplayer Lobbies are still a Nightmare.
It’s beyond me how lazy PD is.
I‘m very disappointed with them.
I‘m no Coder or Programmer and have absolutely no idea how difficult it might be to reprogram the Multiplayer Lobby Architecture.
Very very poor what they delivered so far in that Regard 😐
Maybe it would be better to have subject matter expertise prior to making accusations of "laziness". Just sayin'.

It's made me splash the cash so yes it's a good thing.

Spent about 500-600k on the following:

Toyota MR2
Corvette Stingray '69
BMW M3 '89
Subaru Impreza 22-B
Lancia Delta Integrale
Toyota Sports 800 '65
Nissan Fairlady 240Z '71

Then went onto the World Touring Car 800 race at Le Mans. Won easily with the Group 4 Suzuki Swift and won myself a lovely 700k so back to where I was previously plus all those classic cars.

Thats all that needs be said really. You guys can criticize them all you want but in the end you have no idea what is going on in those offices.
I do, I've made more than my fair share of custom events for Gran Turismo 5 with unique rules, set rewards, prize cars and varying numbers of races and race lengths. I can make over half a dozen in a single evening once I've got a little creative inspiration. My personal favourite was a Daihatsu Midget cup that took place on small tight tracks like Motorpsort Land, Autumn Ring Mini and Tsukuba. All the AI cars were fully tuned.

I also did a GT5 remake of the Beginner GT Wolrd Championship from GT3 that features Rally and GT300 cars. The hardest work for me is the artwork, but I'm not a good graphic artist.

Anyway, my point is, there's little excuse to have so few events in the game at launch.

Noted issues with online experience:

Cannot save lobby settings
Cannot change lobby settings once lobby has been launched
FIXED Can't boot players from lobby FIXED
Very hard to launch a race (says player still initializing)
Race payouts extremely low
No miles accumulated for free roam

And I don't really care. They're certainly not sitting on their hands doing nothing.
Ok, got it, you don’t care.
I do. And I especially care a lot about Multiplayer Part in Online Lobbies.
It’s the part of GT Games I always enjoyed the most, hence my dissapointment.

Am I happy? No, not fully. But I'm playing again.

I still wish custom races paid better. Remove the weird 1 hour limit for the linear payout to time ratio. No need for a 24 hour race to pay less than double what a 1 hour race pays, when that's already so very low.

And... the number of races is still bad, and I keep repeating Sunday Cup races in my lower power cars because there's just not much for them to do. It would be better at least if I didn't need to go hunting on every circuit to find a race that my current car was eligible for. This World Circuits menu is a mess.

But I'm playing. I like the driving, when I finally find a race that fits my car. And now money isn't as much of a concern. So it's better now than it used to be. But I still don't think it lives up to the expectations set before release.

I got 500k from my roulette ticket today, so that's definitely nice. Appreciate the tweak to the "jump" dynamics when I did some grinding on Fisherman's Ranch.
Happy? Yeah, sure, I guess. When the lobbies are fixed then I'll really be happy.
Satisfied? For now. Looking forward to more content, though.

I won't be truly content with the game as long as the RWD road car physics are still dog poo, and it's worrying how they have made no official acknowledgement that lobbies are a joke and plans to improve on it, but as many have stated, it's a BIG step in the right direction, and I have to give PD kudos for listening to their fanbase 👍I don't recall PD ever addressing a fanbase concern this overtly before, and I hope it's a sign of things to come.

I'll be sticking around looking forward to more updates to the game, but as of right now I'm still a little soured after taking my two dream cars around my favourite circuit and spinning out every corner, and my crew is still stuck in GT Sport.

Overall, 7/10 for this update. It pretty much put stuff in it that should've been in the game at launch in the first place but, they are still missing a lot of other events.

Positives:

-Payouts greatly increased on Circuit Experiences.
-Payouts on the majority of the World Circuit races increased.
-Credit limit lifted from the 20 million cap to 100 million.
-Number of cars in UCD and LCD increased.
-A few more events added (8 missions + 3 World Circuit Races).
-A lot of bugs and issues fixed, mainly the jumping physics which have received a noticeable and much needed improvement.

Negatives:

-The amount of events added to the game is far from satisfactory, it's something, but not nearly enough. I for example will clear them all by the end of this week (and if I had time I could even finish everything by tomorrow).
-Huge lack of event variety added. Literally no Gr.1 or Gr.2 races, not nearly enough Manufacturer, Country, Classic, One-Make events. They still continue with the hard on on Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars and 600pp road cars.
-The "increased payouts" in Sport mode are an outright insult.
-The "balance" in rewards in most world circuit events still leaves a lot ot be desired. 10 Lap races that require pit-stops and using Gr.3 cars still only pay less than 200k, a race that takes over 20 minutes to complete.

Obviously I won't mention things like the Online Lobbies which they didn't promise to "fix" in this update, even if they should. Among other things like the stupid roulette rigged system which is still in complete shambles.

But for now, it's pretty satisfactory. I instantly got 47+ million for the Circuit Experiences and bought pretty much all of the available LCD and UCD cars, and I still have over 24 million credits left.

So, it's fair to say the economy has gotten on the right track. But for me still, the lack of content is still the biggest issue. I want to race my Group C and LMP1s ffs, and tons of other road cars.

Does anyone have a list of what events (did championships also got payout increases?) had their payouts changed?

Only basic race events are listed, but yes

On launch they said they planned to add new lobby features, I suspect its in their pipeline, but also Im sure during development online was probably the hardest thing to test during the pandemic. I expect we will see a lot of updates esp since a lot of their known issues are with multiplayer

It's overall an okay update; the economy is pretty much fixed in comparison which is a very welcome change. There's still room for improvement when it comes to race variety though, we really need some Gr.1 and Gr.2 events. Also custom races need a major buff in payouts too, there's no reason for them to be so low-paid.

PoDi would do well to focus on race variety and fixing online for the next few weeks.

Thank you, so championships still pay the same?

Glad the economy seems to be fixed. Now PD needs to focus on some physics tweaks.

And PD, NOW THAT THE ECONOMY IS FIXED, PLEASE, PLEASE fix your MTX economy. I have $40 with your guy's name on it if you make it a better value!!

The economy was the thing that got the most anger, but it still severely lacks content. Circuit Experience actually has a reward now.

It should have just launched with the 300 races from GT Sport cups if all they had was the Cafe.

It's better than a kick in the balls.

At least circuit experience is worth doing.

Super dissapointed daily sport races remain tighter than my real life purse strings. Can't see a reason why they are screwing people who want to play online.
