The dirt pyshics have been exactly the same wince they were first introduced in a GT game and they were terrible even then lol. I'm with you on having that removed and never to be seen again. It's a stain on the otherwise.. 3 out of 10 demo of a game we gotCool. I'm unsure how you can like gravel that thinks its ice, but you go right ahead and enjoy it. I'll continue to want it removed or entirely overhauled as it isn't rally in the slightest.
If they patch in some of the cut content that they never got done in time for release day like Apricot Hill and Apricot hill reverse then I'll give them another half a point to 3.5 /10Was already happy with the game anyway apart from a few minor nigglings here and there so this update makes it better again.
Can’t wait until they actually start putting in new cars, more events/races etc.
See, this is where either my memory is playing tricks on me or the gravel physics have worsened over time because I don't remember hating rally in GT3 anywhere to the same degree. Or at all, even. I definitely didn't hate rally in GT2.The dirt pyshics have been exactly the same wince they were first introduced in a GT game and they were terrible even then lol. It's definitely always had that lack of bite, that "This just feels like a slippery icy tarmac surface, not gravel" feel.See, this is where either my memory is playing tricks on me or the gravel physics have worsened over time because I don't remember hating rally in GT3 anywhere to the same degree. Man, I really have to play GT3 again. It's definitely always had that lack of bite, that "This just feels like a slippery icy tarmac surface, not gravel" feel.
I've a similar recollection. I almost liked GT3 rally, just that it didn't feel great to just drive y'know it lacked something. It never felt anywhere near as satisfying to drive compared to say WRC: Rally Evolved or Richard burns Rally; also for the PS2. GT7 is a mess however.See, this is where either my memory is playing tricks on me or the gravel physics have worsened over time because I don't remember hating rally in GT3 anywhere to the same degree. Maybe because a lot of it is straight line and PD thought it wasnt difficult to complete it while I've seen a lot of post saying Nurburgring is really hard now (didnt went to do it yet). There was even a post saying that the OP believed 99% of people wouldnt be able to gold that circuit expercience. So I'm guessing that's why the Nurb is 5 mil. And lets be honest, La Sarthe is not really technical, its just that it last 24h and it's hard on the cars because you're at full power a long period of time and you have traffic to manage.Circuit de la Sarthe should be 3 million credits flt the all gold circuit experience, not 1 million.
Nurburg Nord is 5 mil... But Monza, Red Bull Ring, Nurburg GP, & others are all 1 mil.
So why is Sarthe only 1 mil?
If your driving/racing game relies on keeping cars scarce to keep players from getting bored, your game has bigger issues than the economy.Kaz knows this ruins his long haul vision for the games economy. Kaz knows we'll soon have every car we want, and a number of players will get bored and move on to other games, but he gave us what we demanded anyway.
That is the human comedy.
I'm amused that the endurance missions are called "The Human Comedy".
Kaz's vision for the game was long haul - earn credits over hours of gameplay to buy cars. We obviously disagreed and wanted better payouts. The result is people now making millions of credits in a handful of races, when the majority of cars are less than a million credits (exceptions being halo cars and legendaries).

Letter from KazKazunori YamauchiI want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again.
It's still fun, the rally mode is miles better than GTSport. I played it again last year and Tahiti Maze + Evo VII is some of my best memory of GT3. I see it like a Sega Rally mode in Gran Turismo. Now, I can't stand the handling in GTSport, even if the new group B cars look so cool.Man, I really have to play GT3 again.
I think either which way he cuts it, people will still find the easiest race to grind for the maximum payout. Adjusting payouts for the latter half of the WT races ensures that the harder races are the ones that payout more, not the easier onesI don’t understand why the economy changes only had to affect the “latter half” of events in World Circuits. Especially not after the letter from Kaz in which he explained why certain events had their payouts nerfed, or balanced in line with other events. Back then he said they wanted to avoid a situation where players mechanically grind specific events in order to maximize credits earnings, but I’d say the latest patch is promoting this behavior by only increasing payouts in the latter half of World Circuits.
Letter from Kaz
Then why suddenly leave Sunday Cup, Clubman Cup, FF, FR, etc. in a position where these lack more replay value than ever?
The WTC races aren’t the only ones that received higher payouts. Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Cup, Race of Turbo, etc. now also pay better than before the update. These aren’t much different to Clubman Cup 700, but this is still stuck with the old payouts. It’s not logical.I think either which way he cuts it, people will still find the easiest race to grind for the maximum payout. GT3 had the most fun rallying in any GT game in my opinion. I don't recall it being amazing in any of them, but after GT3 I felt that it definitely started to go downhill and the grip levels seemed to drop off a cliff.See, this is where either my memory is playing tricks on me or the gravel physics have worsened over time because I don't remember hating rally in GT3 anywhere to the same degree. I simply don't like the rally circuits in GT7. Gimme Eiger trail back.GT3 had the most fun rallying in any GT game in my opinion. I don't recall it being amazing in any of them, but after GT3 I felt that it definitely started to go downhill and the grip levels seemed to drop off a cliff.
GT4 had the best rally and special tracks, but I hated the penalty (fortuantely it can be switched off with a cheat code) and the cars slid far too much for my liking.
Aren't those races also chili pepper races with harder difficulty than Clubman Cup 700?The WTC races aren’t the only ones that received higher payouts. I don’t think so, but not sure.Aren't those races also chili pepper races with harder difficulty than Clubman Cup 700?
