But, they could just be doing a few light runs to look good for potential sponsors. That goes more for BMW than Honda.

I've been to wednesday's practice season on Montmeló, and for what I've seen, some teams haven't gone at their limit - just not to show their real pace.

I've recorded a 20 min. video, showing the practice of Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Toyota, Honda, BMW Sauber and Red Bull. If someone has a host (~120MB will be enough), I can upload it to show it to you ;)

Indeed.

Then again, a lot of people were thinking the same about Renault last year. (although they don't look as spectacular as Renault did then, but they look faster than I thought they would be)

We'll see soon enough. :)

You cant say that if a driver was killed in a crash it wouldnt add to their legend. There is always the what could have been or the feeling of loss of what was. I'm not saying MS must die to become a legend, I'm just saying that he has become such a legendary driver, that if he won another world title the only way to become a bigger legend would be to die during a terrible crash.

Totally agree with you dude, its the same thing with painters, when they die the value of their paintings increases a hundred fold.

About the times at the previous page. There's oceans of difference between a practice session like this and a 70 lap race at Monaco.

Experience will always play a huge role, that's why we shouldn't forget about MS.

I'm getting a good feeling about Williams with Nico Rosberg. I belive he is going to be one of the best drivers F1 has ever seen. he will definately not ride the laurels of his fathers name, he will soon become his own racer. this is the same feeling that I got about Alonso and Renault at the end of '04. so I belive Nico will have a good push for '06 and will be champ very soon. that's all I can write for now.

rock.

I voted for Kimi a while back, but seeing how things have evolved both in lap times and commentaries, I'd go with Alonso now. Fastest lap times for a day don't mean much, but Schumacher saying he's impressed with the consitent and quick pace of the Renault tells something. Kimi's comments on the engine, combined with the brain drain going on at McLaren don't look too good either. :indiff:

Carl.

... did he say that?? That really means something because he knows what he's talking about. We have to watch out for Renault and Alonso, next year. Maybe he'll the youngest WC with 2 titles.
