How much do you earn in the kart races? How many races are there and do you also earn prize cars and karts?

Has anybody earned a 'ticket' or a coupon for stuff, yet?
There're 3 levels. Amateur, Pro and Expert or something.
Each level has 2-3 races. In the amateur I earned about 15.000, I thought it dubbeld at pro.
Karting is easy but ooow so fun !
Nascar and carting are special events, there you only earn a lot of money and XP. (So far no cars).

Yes I've got a few tickets for new horn sounds, you'll also get vouchers for car.

I have a 2010 Fit Sport 1.5 i-VTEC...not in the game, so I might go with an older fit or similar japanese hatchback...do not want to start off with the RX-7, MX-5, or Silvia...because I've done all of those already...

I'm looking forward to see a blue mica Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Super Charger ‘86 in the used car dealership at the beginning of the game, and buy it (if I can afford the price and if it only requires level 0, of course). It's my 1st car in Gran Turismo 2, the only GT game I have so far and also my favorite game, even now.

If I can't find it...maybe I'll just go for the Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) ‘91. Still not sure, though.

I got my copy today and directly start playing career mode. I was looking for a European car at first in the used car dealership.

But on start there were only 5 cars available with my level (0) and they were all from Japan. I compared them and then I bought a 88' Silvia with ~ 140kw for about 18k credits because this was the best one in power and weight.

Can anyone confirm that there are everytime the same cars by used dealer if you start the career? Or are they randomly if you start?

China? Seriously?

I've amended your post so it's closer to what the AUP you just agreed to abide by specifies.

I'm waiting for a list like this, too. For several days, now. There are none, yet.

The best car to start with that's premium is the MX5 Miata. That's it. Yes, there are two or three other premium cars, I think, but they're very under-powered compared to the MX5.

Premium cars available for less than 20k at level 0:
 • Daihatsu Copen Active Top '02 - 15,000
 • Honda Civic Type R (EK) '97 - 19,980
 • Mazda Autozam AZ-1 '92 - 14,980
 • Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 - 17,000
 • Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) '91 - 19,000
 • Nissan March 12SR '07 - 17,830
 • Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R) '91 - 14,580
 • Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95 - 14, 600
 • Suzuki Cervo SR '07 - 14,180
 • Suzuki Swift Sport '05 - 16,200
 • Suzuki Swift Sport '07 - 16,300
 • Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 '07 - 16,380
 • Gran Turismo PDI Racing Kart 100 - 5,000

Suggestions on better ways to hide spoilers appreciated. Also, please don't quote the list without hiding it for those who don't want to see.

This may not be my starting car if i cant afford it but it definately what i want to start with.

See above if you want to know one way or the other in advance :)

Lol, you can buy a kart for 100 credits? I think that's what I'm going to be starting with!

You get a ticket for a car after each set of races is complete.

Also on 2 occaisions, I've had other car tickets. The first one was a token for a 'Rally Base Car' and the second was a token for a 'Lvl 5 car'.

I'm assuming that these 2 token can spawn a random car for you whereas the ones for winning a set of races are fixed.

For the Rally Base car I won : a 05 Mini Cooper S

For the Lvl 5 car I won : a 99 honda NSX P Zero (i think)

The car I actually started with was a Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg slighty modded, easly won the sunday cup, FF races and the coompact car races, and my 2nd car on the game is a yellow Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R modded to 307 bhp with a carbon bonnet, its a beast :D

I am going to build up some funds , Since i have the SE on pre-order with gamestation i will have all of the pre-order cars and the stealth's aswell , that should be enough to complete quite a few races , then i can look at getting some more expensive cars in the game.

Civic Type R and run with that until i find a 2ltr turbo Japanese car that takes my fancy.

If i see a cheap EG SIR Civic i'll get that aswell, used to use it all the time on the nurburgring

I'll post some hidden text below (highlight to see it). In order to do it yourself, just 'quote' my message and see how I did it. Or, just type whatever you want hidden, highlight it, change the color to whatever you want, and replace the "black" (or "red"/"blue"/ect.) with F3F3F3 (no " " marks).

Like this!

You can also use spoiler tags, which is the correct way.

Just type
text
without the spaces inside the brackets.

A used *** car of some sort, probably a civic or integra, if possible I'll try to find the car I drive IRL, aspen white '02 wrx.

If I can't afford these I'm going miata. :guilty:

EDIT: apparently I can't abbreviate Japanese? It's not a slur, it's akin to calling a Briton a Brit. Oh well, no worries, I understand the confusion.

In GT4 I usually start off with a Honda Prelude, but I read another members idea of trying to pick a more well rounded car that I can stick with for a longer period of time, so I may give that a try this time :)

I got one of those too. Yeah, sadly, only the older model is in the game, and a standard.
