I will start with a cheap European hatchback. My first in GT4 was a Fiat panda. LOL :)

In GT4 my first car was a Toyota Soarer 3.0 L6 (FR). Lot of horses for the beginning budget and easy to tune to lots more.

For me it depends on the opening budget - If I can pick up a cheap EVO or WRX I will go down that route...failing that either a RX-7 Savannah GT-X (FC-gen) or Supra GT 3.0, All of these should respond well to mod's:sly:

something japanese... in gt4 it was a first gen mr2

if i start with more credits from psp or gt5p i will go for the best skyline that i can afford.

I'll probably find the best Skyline on offer. Every other GT hasn't let my down, why this one? :dopey:

Any one with the highest and most balanced performance I can afford, in OE or modified condition. In GT4 I started out with the VW Lupo Prize car from Licence.

In the past, a zippy "frontwheeler" with dual engine tuning cabilities (N/A and charged induction) and managing of prize cars have been the quickest path to in game advancement. This applied no matter if the agenda was game completion, to unlock certain tracks/challenges and/or building the perfect garage. I expect the same will apply for GT5.

My first GT4 car was a yellow Triumph Spitfire 1500 (I've got a real one too), though it really wound me up not being able to enter it in the convertable races 'cos they had it as a hard top for some reason. I really hope it made it through to GT5.
I'll probably opt for a Scooby in GT5 to start with as they're a great all rounder and a favourite to use in all driving games for me.
Roll on November 3rd!!!!

Honda CR-Z if affordable from the beginning.
Otherwise it will be a CRX from the used-car lot most probably :)

The most powerful used car i can find in budget and hope that gt4 does not repeat itself and the car handles like a brick.

EG6, NA6C, or ST185. much better to get something cheap and slap a weight reduction, ecu etc on it than something you can only just afford and have to race stock.

From those screens weight reduction one and two is only 1.5k so that means your shopping for cars around 8.5k

If I start off with extra credits I'm going to try and pick up an Exige (Man I hope its in) or a used Elise 190.

In GT4 I bought a Silvia. I'll buy a 90's MR2 if they have one avalible.

silvia s13 or civic eg6.cant wait to drive them on open track days online and try to keep up with super cars.fun fun fun =D

They didn't mention any thing about the used cars , right ?!
Any way , My first car will be Japanese , Maybe a civic , Then ahead to the first race , Get the money , & Give it a stage 1 Turbo :sly:

In GT4 I started with a TVR T350C. In GT5 I hope to start with the car closest to what I own, an NA SW20 MR2. The 99 version, I own a 1990.

hahaha.. I think it's hilarious that 56 people thus far have voted Japanese. GT3 saw me starting in an S14 (if my memory serves me correctly) and GT4 it was an R32, so I think it will be a Skyline again this time around. :D

I'll start with the european Hachiroku, a bone stock 318is E30

and then slowly transform it into a 900 kg, 6-speed H1 V8 or Powertec RPA Macroblock swap touge monster.

Cough, cough. If both the car and engine-swapping are in the game, that is.

I normally get either an AE86, RX7 or R32 (if available) though after a certain WRS event I love how fun the Integra R is.
I'll probably just get the AE86 as it'll be the cheapest car out of them :)
