Guess the 2001 Ferrari was a pretty handy car - maybe they can sell them to TWR for the 'new' Prost!

excellent, i can't wait for qualifying which will be around 3 in the morning here tomorrow but well worth staying up for .....i've been trying to not think about F1 for the last few weeks and now it is here ...i'm all pumped up :smirk: ...yeah, 2001 Ferrari should be quite adequate for this race ....is McLaren and Williams running their new cars?

nice to see Ralf and Juan Pablo are continuing on where they left off last season ....this match-up will be a close battle as Kimi and David also should be

Mmmm.. the Saubers are really fast! we'll have to check them for the race! Toyota's faster than i expected too...

think DC will be Mclaren's no.1 driver for long?

but these are only practices... we don't really know what setting they were testing. Tomorrow and Saturday are gonna be the real eye openers...

yeah, crappy aerodynamic package = no downforce = high top-speed down straights

oh stop, you're getting me too excited :)

sad thing the only Canadian in F1 is so low in the rankings nowaday... and to think 5 years ago he was champion...

btw, Schumy, since you're in Ontario... do you get SC's coverage of F1? we don't get it here, because of TSN's french counterpart...

can you say i won't be able to sleep until Sunday night? ;)

Well - that doesn't equal 6th - certainly a lot stronger than we thought.

yep, good time ....not too shabby at all ....i think Salo is a better driver than he gets credit for though ......i thought he did well for Ferrari when Schumacher was out .....i think he's better than Rubens

it's still great that one of the best drivers ever is Canadian ....i rate Jaques right up with Michael (maybe better!) and know that with the right car Jaques is as potent as they come ....it's difficult to predict his future but time is running out

yeah, i watch it on TSN (better colour and WAY better announcers) and then i switch to SC on commercials so i don't miss a thing .....then, i watch the race again on SC the next day but don't worry .....there is no comparison .......it is so boring on SC (if that's what all the Americans get, then i feel bad for them)

yeah, little sleep for me too :)

Well i sure am hoping, because JV wont with the sorry ass team hes with i really hope he gets into a real car next year hes throwing his career away; dont you think???

Holy cow they are saying that verstappen might replace massa, after barzil I think its too bad for massa but I love verstappen and if you gets a great ride like this he will do well, when he first came on he was supposed to be the next senna. I think its too late but this could be the start of something good.

why will you lose your mind and why does only one have a chance this year?

Villeneuve said over RDS (TSN's french counterpart) that the Honda engine was LESS powerful than last year... the chassis' better, though.

Juan and Ralf will surely get a few wins this year... the Williams seem to be strong already.

I think Raikkonnen will be to watch this season... he seems to be faster than Coulthard already! David will never win a championship... he's too stupid! (remember when he hit the wall entering the pits in 95? )

whereabouts in Quebec do you live? .....i'm planing on going to this year's Montreal race .....i've never been to a race yet so i think it will be a memorable experience

the chassis is definitely better and the engine probably is too ....more reliable and more power .....i heard they aren't even running it near it's potential right now just to see what it's like

the Jordan's get the same engine but with a 7 speed

i'm in Trois-Rivieres... there's the Atlantic's race here and a round of Trans Am in July. Montreal's a few hours from here. I try to go every summer, but i might not be able to do so this year...

7 speed? gee! I think only Ferrari uses one too...

I remember him driving the Tyrrell in the top 6 on debut even though one arm had gone numb - sadly he crashed!

I've been to the GP at Montreal - it was awesome. Getting to the track was really easy, and the track is easy to get around. Try to get seats down at the hairpin.

If you've never been to a race before, it will change your life. You should definitely do it. :)

Rubens is a muppet. EVERYBODY is better than Rubens.
Except perhaps Gaston Mazzacane.
And Johnny Herbert.

does anyone have an example of what makes ITV and others coverage superior? If it is data and features, I wish we had more, but if it is just showy graphics or the occasional interruption for an interview or something that can wait, I'd rather be bored. But I'm talkin' about during a race
