Please, spare us.

I'll be quick and honest:Doing what on purpose ?
How is she begging me unless I have a different interpretation of begging ?
There's this classmate who has a crush on me (her closer friends have told me), I don't, she's nice and all but I'm not attracted, we get to talk everyday because she works close to where I live and I take her there.
She's getting flirtier everyday.
How can I tell her that I don't like her, without hurting her feelings and keeping her as a really good friend?
I usually don't need help, but the "guru" as some friends refer to me when it comes to relationship advising will eventually need help. That time is now.
Anyone?
I do, but she does not get it.
She is very innocent, sometimes (like, almost all the time) we have to explain her the jokes and puns we say, go figure.
Well, you're done, but you can try and give it a small little push...
I have to add that there would be a Mrs. AJ is she wasn't a JW.
As for my situation..
I directly told her (not would be Mrs. AJ) that I don't like her, she said that it is ok, but now she became too distant..
Victory?

The clock is ticking. If you don't start acting like you're in a relationship with this girl you soon won't be.
Yes, just do something that states that you are interested in being in a relationship. Are you saying I can act like I'm in a relationship with her and then she would know that she is what I want ?
@Team THRT Drift
You won this thread.
I decided to open the envelope and it had a really long letter and lots of dark chocolate (my favorite, but I didn't eat them).
It had stuff that I already know and photos I didn't knew that existed.

Well, I've never trusted online dating, so I have never used it, because you don't get to know the people you're interacting with.@AJHG1000 You may want to consider a restraining order if it continues.
Anyways - time to hear this young lad's misfortunes. (Warning: online dating and an idiot)
So about...6 or 7 years ago, when I was roughly 15, there was an application on the Nintendo DSi called Flipnote Studio, which was complemented by an online service called Hatena, which is essentially a mini-YouTube. Except the community was rotten as hell.
Around this time, I was looking around through various animations and came across this user named Roxie who happened to have a very active "chat room" (read: designated flipnote for slowchatting, etc). I popped in and started talking to everyone in there. I made a few friends here and there but Roxie remained elusive - I had become a fan of her stuff after seeing the flipnotes she did.
After about 3-4 weeks of mucking about in her chatrooms, she made an appearance. I was very quick to introduce myself to her, being her fan and all that. She was pretty nice and respectful, and so we became friends. After about 3 months, I decided to confess to her. Whether this was just teenage hormones or real affection I'll never know... Anyways, I confessed to her, and it turns out she took a liking to me quicker than I did her, and we hit it off. Exchanged numbers and used SMS apps so that people didn't see our conversations.
No need for the details here - we were pretty happy for the most part...
Then the fighting started. For some reason, she started just chewing me out on and off over the small things. Constant break ups and get-togethers over a period of two or three years. And then after one particular fight where I had actually gotten incredibly ticked off at all of the abuse, she sent me a nasty message through her younger cousin:
(I do not remember the message itself, so this is paraphrased)
"Go burn in hell you sick b:censored:d."
I showed my parents and they were unbelievably pissed.
Two things to note now: Her name is Tracey, and she lives in Cocoa, Florida (I live in MA).
So a few months pass by and Tracey and I have started talking again. It turns out I'm going to Cocoa Beach for a family trip that summer, and we talked about meeting up somewhere just to say hi and get to know each other's faces.
The vacation comes around, and on that Sunday morning, I remembered that she had choir that afternoon. We were near her church so I asked her if we could meet there before her practice. She agreed.
I spent 20 minutes with my heart beating out of my chest, and I see her and her mother arrive. The mother goes back out to pick up some stuff and I approach her.
"Hey...Tracey?"
She turned around and her face lit up.
"Oh, hi Doug!"
We had a nice conversation and traded a few small trinkets we brought with us. I went home, and when I looked at my phone later that night she had gone bananas for me again. This time, I was a bit skeptical and decided not to accept. I was right - a week later, she had gone evil again.
Only this time, she threatened to file a restraining order against me for "being abusive and terrible". Um, what? I didn't do anything wrong. She was the aggressor the whole time.
To this day, I think that girl was secretly psychotic. Even now, when her name comes up, I just go from "calm" to "on the brink of losing my 🤬" in 1.2 seconds.
Second story - just a few months after Tracey
I met another girl through the same app, this one named Yessi.
She was a rumble-and-tumble Hispanic tomboy from the Bronx, and had a laundry list of genetic disorders. (more on that later).
But she turned out to be quite a nice and sweet girl, and far more loyal and respectful than Tracey. We played games as much as we physically could, and talked every day. After a few months in, she told me about her biggest issue - she had neurofibromatosis type 1 and was very insecure about herself because of it. At this point, I really didn't feel that the NF1 was an issue since she was pretty much healthy otherwise and I was more than willing to deal with it.
This relationship was far more stable, despite the occasional disagreement. We made it a year and a half and then things started to get rotten.
She stopped being happy and just ignored every attempt I made to figure out the problem and every attempt at cheering her up.
"It's easy. Just talk to me!"
I have been. And you're shutting me out. Not only that, but side effects of her NF1 had started landing her in the hospital more than usual. I was worried sick and kept trying to talk to her at least so that she'd cheer up or at least smile again.
"Just talk to me."
I am!
And then a few months later (about 3 or 4 months ago) she told me she wanted to just be friends. By the time she asked, I had burned out and stopped caring about the relationship. It was easy to just say yes and be done with it.
But -- things still somehow got worse.
She stopped talking to me and her other friends. We all tried to get through to her.
One day, I just sent her a good morning message and another text about some game stuff (CoD: AW DLC).
"And?"
And what?
"Is that all you wanted to talk to me about?"
Just like that, she went from being the sweet girl I spent a year and a half with to another...Well, let's say evil.
A few weeks after that she started messaging me about her "bae", some guy she met in League of Legends. I didn't care about him. Two months ago, her friend told me the guy was shady so I confronted her because I was worried about her. The resulting fight turned sour and she permanently blocked me. I'm sure she absolutely hates my guts now.
And just like that, I'm single.
Y'know, FML.
Safe to say, I've learned my lesson after two psychotic girls.Well, I've never trusted online dating, so I have never used it, because you don't get to know the people you're interacting with.
To be fair, it's not that bad, I've talked to her friends so they could try to get her to meet another guy.
Anyways - time to hear this young lad's misfortunes. (Warning: online dating and an idiot)
I also look younger but it is because of my short height and sometimes I get messages through facebook by girls younger than that.So I got asked out by a 15 year old today. I'm 26.In her defense, I look 18, although she knew my real age.
Regarding online dating, I feel like it's better to meet people on Facebook. I've definitely had more success with meeting girls on Facebook rather than on dating sites.

I didn't want to post anything until I knew it was going to get serious and it has! Been going strong for nearly four months now. Met her and hooked up near the end of November.
Backstory:
I don't have a season parking pass at my Uni so everyday I pay the meter maid. I found the only parking lot on campus that is 10 dollars until 7 AM the next morning but it's a bit far. Everywhere else is $15.
So any day that I've paid $10 I make sure to pass my parking pass on to a fellow student, or whoever is going to park at this lot. No matter how 🤬 my day has been, I try to pass it on. *sometimes no one is there to give it to*
On this day, I had my last lab session and was having a pretty crappy day; finals were coming up, some friends turned out to be leeches, I was stressing over everything... Life was just slowly grinding to a halt for me. I'm exhausted, dragging my feet to my car. I hear tires rolling behind me followed by a quick horn.
I turned around, and I had a pretty angry look at the time. I mean, you're alone, depressed, just thinking about your next steps in life in what felt like a pretty empty lot, and suddenly you're startled by a horn.

So I turned around, my heart sank and my jaw dropped. This absolutely stunning brunette steps out of her car, and walks towards me with the cutest smile I had ever seen.

"Hey, sorry, I'm kind of in a hurry. Are you leaving?"
I'm still awestruck, staring like a dunce. Took me a few seconds before I snapped out of it and replied. I was just lost in these mesmerizing electric blue eyes.
I said, "Yeah I'm just about to head out"
She's relieved to hear that as she had spent 30 minutes driving up and down the campus looking for a spot. She apparently saw me walking to the lot and stalked me all the way to my car. I have never been more flattered
So I said "Okay lemme move my car real quick."
and she hits me with "Is that an '05??"
![]()
I didn't really believe she just asked me such a question. So I assumed I didn't understand the question, or misheard something so I said "Sorry, didn't catch that."
"Oh your Audi. Is it an '05 or...?"
"Umm... hah... close, it's an '04."
"Oh dang. I thought I had it. I LOVE the A8s. Is this... what trim is this again?"
![]()
"It's the A8L..."
"Oooh the extended wheelbase right?? I've never seen one before! I always see the regular A8s but never the longer one. It's the 4.2 in there right?"
![]()
I'm smiling like an idiot. I couldn't believe I had found a unicorn. Or rather, a unicorn found me.
As we're talking I realise she owns an orange Audi TT AND IT'S A MANUAL!!!!! I have seen this TT before. Multiple times actually, but the tints didn't help so I never saw the driver. She had completely forgot about her rendezvous with her friends and we were just talking for ages about Audis, other brands, tracks, meet ups, etc. After some time I move my car out of the spot and let her park her car.
I reach back in and get the parking pass. I'm handing it over and she's being courteous saying things like "No it's okay" and all that, but eventually she takes it.
I can't pass this opportunity up, I need more time with this chick. I know if I leave now, I would lose the best thing that's ever happened to me. So I asked how far away her meeting was. Turns out it was all the way on the other side of the campus.
This was my chance. My last shot. So I offered her a ride. She gladly accepted it, and we were on our way. For once in my life, I was driving under the speed limit. Taking my time. I was trying to milk this moment as much as possible.
Please dear God don't let me screw this up!
We continue talking, having a blast. We're really hitting it off. She's digging me as a person, my quirkiness, god-awful puns, etc. She likes me for who I am.
We reach the destination and I am trying to look happy when inside I am just screaming. I still wanted to spend more time with this girl. It was over too soon. I wanted to get lost in her eyes one more time.
Then she says "We should hang out sometime!"

My heart practically beat out of my chest. I was the happiest man at that moment, but I wanted to stay cool. Don't break.. don't break.. act natural, don't act desperate. Time this right, dammit!
So naturally I said, I would LOVE to hang out with you!

"GREAT! How about tomorrow around three???"
![]()
"Umm sure.. I-I-I don't have a way of- where do you want to meet?"
"How about the cafeteria by *insert college name* Here's my number. Call me now so I can have yours. Name's Audrey by the way."

We've been together ever since. For once, I am actually happy to be arguing about cars and parts

Like my colleague Vic Reign says, your mileage may vary.In praise of online dating, I have had a successful multi-year relationship that began on a dating site. It was mutually ended over something that wouldn't have been different if it had been a traditional relationship.
That said, although I find it a perfectly viable option, I'm not currently a member of any.
I need some ideas on where to take a girl out on a first date.
This girl is a colleague of mine, and although we've been working together for a while now, we don't know each other all that much. For that reason, I want to invite her somewhere that is as casual as possible, a place where we could just sit down and chat for a while to see if there's enough interest on both sides to continue.
A cafe would be a perfect spot, but I already tried inviting her to one after work last week and was turned down. However we finish work at 9PM, and I know that she has very controlling parents that wouldn't enjoy the idea of their daughter being out this late with some guy they never heard of, so I'm guessing that is the reason why.
I've been thinking of inviting her to a posh cafe on the weekend but at this point it doesn't seem like it would be a very original idea. Are there any other spots that I should consider?
