Like I said in some overflooded other threat, I really like the shadows being cast on the tyre smoke.
(I know games like Motorstorm do it for a long time already, it's still nice )

Edit: After looking a bit better, volumetric shadows are visible in all the three first gifs.

Still no skids!

Took me some time but it turned out ok I guess. It's a bit choppy but that's PD's fault

In case anyone has a software like after effects I think the choppiness can be reduced by interpolating some frames in it.

You can if someone finds a way to reduce it to 20kb which is the size limit in this forum if I remember well. You'll probably need a shorter version of it. I'll see what I can do.

It has been brought up before. I think so, but I try not to get my hopes up too much

It was not as hard as my avatar but it was still fun to make it.

It was pretty easy to reduce the animation to 7KB since the only colors that matter are black and white.

EDIT: I made a better one after realizing that I could add some more frames to the animation since the file size is so small.

Donuts have been impossible in previous GT's right!? They have for me atleast. If you can do donuts in GT5 then i'm even MORE excited for the new physics model.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the file still needs to be smaller. When it's not exactly 20KB or smaller it will just appear to be a still image when he adds it as his avatar.

Less frames and shorten animation length to decrease the choppiness. With less frames I was able to use more colors (or in this case shades of gray) to keep the quality from suffering too much.

And by the way, I'm thinking about using it myself if NoxNoctis Umbra or anyone else are not interested.
