So it's pretty clear that they're taking GT6's super-premiums and polishing them up for GTS.

I tried to find a list of cars that were *new* to GT6 and also added to GT6 with DLC, but I couldn't find a resource that had just that. Did you find such a list?

Now this is pure speculation, but it’s somewhat informed. One of my big theories with PDI is that the DLC packs feature mini themes. Each month there’s always a number of cars related to one another. January was Halo Ferraris and JDMs, Toyota and Vintage Le Mans featured in February whilst muscle cars and Alpine were the focus in March etc. Super GT and Group C of course were the main focus in their own particular DLC packs.

There’s about 3 premium Hondas yet to be added, so I’m expecting the NSX, S2000 and Integra Type R to all drop together. Other potential mini themes include LMP1 (Bentley Speed 8 and Audi R10), Lancia (if they drop the Stratos and Delta inconjunction with the rumoured 037). Given Toyota’s recent Le Mans victory I wouldn’t be surprised if the winning TS050 comes bundled with the 787B in a sort of Japanese winners pack.

Seemingly so, yes. There's always a few headline cars in each update.

What's different about the TS050 that won Le Mans compared to one we have in game? Besides the TS050 getting a seventh gear at Le Mans. The 787B is a likely addition down the line though.
 
With Nissan offering a trip to Nismo Fest, I wouldn't put it pass PD to give us Fuji.
Though, I felt getting the GR SUPRA, was the perfect time to get Fuji Speedway.

Motegi is still on my radar. The Road Course and Ovsl. TRM also has the three configurations. Would make an awesome addition.

My point still stands a tweet or a facebook post would have been enough rather than having people think an update will come.
 
I think it's ok that we don't get an update. All content previously has been free after all. It could be worse and have to pay for cars *cough* Forza Motorsport 7. £25 or £10 on XBL.

Man, this thread started out as 🤬 and giggles, almost everyone was joking about how ridiculous the speculations are about an update that was never promised. Page 3 then came and everyone actually started speculating

I miss the good ol' days

On the flip side, Forza has never made people pay real money for consumable paint chips.

Yeah I'm sure Major Nelson has never let that happen. But unlike Kaz, I reckon he wouldn't get away with killing puppy dogs.

More that in my weird thinking that Kaz of PD would get away with anything (even killing puppies and maybe unicorns) if he didn't do an update over someone from Microsoft.

I would like to have more real world tracks, at least SPA, Silverstone GP and Laguna Seca, night version (of La Sarthe) and day/night cycle of La Sarthe and Nürburgring 24h, I would like to have GT3 races in GT League, not just endurance races and a Historic Racing Car Cup in GT League, there is many cars I would like, but what's comes to mind is the Mazda 787B, 2018/2019 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Ford GT40 1969, Lexus LFA, Callaway Corvette C7 GT3, Corvette ZR1 2019 :D.

Won't happen - much as we would all love it - the 24 player support is just for PD dedicated servers, not player hosted.

I would gladly wait longer for a proper update.
One with an equalized and a proper faulting penalty system.
One with a better tire model that they have finished testing and IS better.
And here comes the speculation... now that they've broken up their monthly update pattern, they can now deviate from it and give us multipe tracks at once!!
(Spa, Silverstone, Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, Midfield, Deep Forest And Apricot Hill)
With say... a 50 car pack all at once!

I don't think dynamic day/night is coming to GTS - but I think it'd be almost guaranteed for the next GT game, especially if it's on the next Playstation where hardware constraints will be less of a concern.

As for what tracks I'd ideally like to see in an update, here were my top picks for real and fictional:
Real: Laguna Seca, Sonoma (formerly Infineon), Fuji, Twin Ring Motegi, Silverstone (WEC, anyone?)
Original: Apricot Hill, Midfield, El Capitan, Deep Forest, Tahiti Maze

I mean, I'd also say Cote d'Azur, but I'd rather save that for a future title, especially since I think it'd be absolute madness in Sport Mode.

As for cars, there's quite a few that are confirmed to be coming to the series, (and likely would stay included in the series, such as the various prize-winners) but if I had to pick my ideal additions, here were a few of my picks, purely going by the premiums in GT6:

Mazda 787B
Mazda RX-7 FD Super GT300
Subaru BR-Z Super GT300
Autobacs Garaiya Super GT300
Toyota Corolla Trueno Apex (AE86)
Ferrari SP1
Ferrari 599
Ferrari F430 Scuderia
Ferrari California (2008)
Lamborghini Murcielago
Lamborghini Gallardo
Fiat 500 (2008)
Ford Shelby GT500 (2013)

Can’t imagine there’s much difference, more about the livery I suppose. Toyota seem to have pretty positive relationship with PDI so I imagine they’re keen to feature Japan’s newest Le Mans winner. PDI must be pretty proud, been a long time since ‘91.
