I doubt we'll see any more McLaren models until the game is released. And we still have yet to see any RUF models, which I am very excited to see. So, there are definitely surprises ahead, and I bet we'll see 1-3 more new manufacturers.

We already have:

Ferrari

Lamborghini

McLaren

Bugatti


We might see:

Koenigsegg

Maserati

Porsche

F1 is not a fastest car any more, but I still believe best package of MR layout roadcar.

first Gran Turismo booth also existed. Yamauchi-san must have watched this compact packaged car at close range.

I'm pretty sure at least one has. I've seen a short video following the F1 from replay cameras around somewhere. Garmes radar rings a bell.

EDIT: It's gamespot, it's only a short clip and not much happens but the cameras focused on the F1.

Well, we definitely won't see a cockpit video until it's playable. You can't see inside other cockpits during replays, only your own. I'd imagine restricting it like that allows for more memory for other things.
 
I don't always use the cockpit cam, mostly I use the bumper cam but because the McLaren has the driver's position in the middle I'll probably use the cockpit cam for that car more-so than the bumper cam. Would be far easier to see around. Very smart Idea having it in the middle.

Well, if GT takes inflation into account (which I've never been sure whether it does or not) the F1 will be more expensive than both the Veyron and Enzo.

The F40 cost around $450, 000 in GT5 prologue. Does anyone know how much the F40 in real life cost when it was new. If so, how much would it cost by now?

The McLaren F1 would cost $1,495,652.89 as of 2009, again, with the MSRP. Neither of these take various options into account.
 
in career mode, i hope they make it difficult to earn money quick so it feels rewarding to get a supercar or any car.

make it like $1000 prize money per race for beginner races.

like prologue has F1 car for $2mil....which takes quite a few hours.
 
just don't make it as ridiculous as forza.
 
I blogged about a point I made earlier in this thread. It's the point that this GT may have the best car lineup in Gran Turismo history. Yes, the McLaren F1 is a dinosaur compared to the Bugatti Veyron. But like many regard the Ferrari F40, the McLaren F1 is one of the greatest cars ever despite its age. Come on now- the McLaren F1 is a work of genius. Still is.

I think the car could cost 1M Credits in GT5. PD may do like in "Tourist Trophy" and assign certain cars licenses for you to earn. For example, you can't get the Yamaha R1 RacingModify in TT with a mere Novice License. All of the supercars will need an International A grade license minimum if PD uses this system. I laughed at the "easy money" thing because it was damned deplorable just to get up to 4.5 Million Credits to get the fastest race cars in GT4. Either significantly reduce the price of the superior cars or just increase the payout of races (or even introduce a sponsorship package to earn cash bonuses).
 
at last theres a picture of a kiwi in gt5 (all though it is stylised)
i hope the put in some of there 1960s canam cars in there

did i miss something? The cover of my copy of GT2 has an engine head on it. Yep i just checked and i cant see a McLaren on my cover anywhere.
