I'm not a believer in general, just a slightly cynical realist ;), although i hope you're right and we will see the MP4-12C in GT5 from the start, can't wait to compare it with the 458 and Gallardo.

I'm not really hyped for it. However, the F1? That's another story. I haven't driven one in a game since NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2 (great game, by the way!).

It also looks...outdated. I feel like it belongs in the 2002-2007 era or something. You know?

I also look forward most to the McLaren F1, it's from 1994 so not outdated but timeless in my opinion.
It probably looks somewhat dated because it doesn't have low-profile tyres and quite small rims compared with today's supercars.

Outdated in reference to the MP4-12C, no the F1.

The F1 STILL looks good.

Sorry , yes i know what you mean, it isn't quite of the moment or cutting edge stylingwise, looks good and well proportioned but a bit clinical.
It looks a bit like a cross between the original F1 and the Gallardo in my opinion.

And looks way better than the MP4-12C:)

The MP4-12C is just ugly and boring. Looks like they mixed a Lotus Evora with something you find in Ridge Racer and the result is just lame:yuck:

Well it's got 600HP. That separates it from the rest somewhat (hardly, though).

The MP4-12C? It's in Shift already as DLC.

Cue the whingers about how arcadey Shift is, but it's a lot better than a kick in the nuts.

Woah when did this happen.

Well at least we still got the F1 to anticipate, hopefully a lot of versions both race and road car variations, and although i'm not really that excited about the new car i hope it will be great to drive.
Perfectly happy with the inclusion of the McLaren brand, the more brands the better and the more of their cars the better.
Now if we could get some of those Formula 1 cars from previous seasons like the Ferrari F2007 or even earlier ( some of those eighties turbo-cars ) it would really make my day. ;)

For you, what has been your favorite new manufacturer since GT4?

Ferrari?

Lambo?

Bugatti (presumable)?

McLaren?

So is it safe to assume we will see all Mclaren/Ferrari/Mercedes/Renault/Cosworth engined F1 cars?

^ You need to get licensing for those cars in particular...

Well to be honest i look forward to all 4 of those with somewhat equal anticipation, although Ferrari and Lambo get me excited the most because of their classic cars which will probably be included.
Can't wait to drive the Countach LP 400 ( confirmed ) and hope the Miura,
Espada and possibly even the LM002 are included.
We've only seen the Ferrari P4 being modelled, but hope a lot of their classic road/race cars are included as well.
Ofcourse their modern cars are great too, about Bugatti and McLaren, they are probably only offering the more recent cars ( obviously for McLaren ).
I don't really get that excited about the Veyron IRL although i'd love to drive one in GT5 but i somehow hope for some of their pre-war classics to be included as well.
Oh and about those McLaren Formula 1 cars, nothing is confirmed but i'd love to see more previous generation cars like the F2007 from multiple manufacturers to get a more diverse field of F1 cars.

Ferrari.

I'm hoping to maybe get a fraction of the enjoyment my dad got from his 275 GTB in GT if possible.

Fortunately, as the Gran Turismo series is in concern, ONLY Kazunori Yamauchi has the decision regarding anything. Always. And thank God for that.

I didn't drive any bugatti, lambo or mclaren in GT yet, so my vote goes for Ferrari. Ferrari collection in GT is growing fast! :D

F430, 512BB, 599, F2007, F40, California and incoming Enzo and 458 italia. 👍

I'm waiting for 360 Modena and F50.

Back on topic, the MP4-12C should be able to defeat almost anything on the ring, there's nothing light and powerful as it, except the Zonda, which is proven to be "slow" in corners.

Agreed @ the F50 and F360 (and Modena).

Sort of agree with the MP4-12C comment.

I'm hoping we get a good number of the old Ferrari's as well.
Dino,250SWB,308GTB..ect.

Though i do think that the MP4-12C will be amazing on the ring, i just don't see it out-performing the S7 TT (if included). Yea it's got power up the balls and handling that only McLaren could provide you with, but on a track that has got as long as straights (if you could call most of them straights) as Nurburgring, the higher-power cars with even decently good handling will take the crown 90% of the time.

But then, to contradict my own statement, the Radical (which i believe still holds the record; correct me if im wrong) wasn't especially all tht powerful but with the racecar characteristics that it has, can lap under the 6:00 mark.

I'm not sure or care much for that matter which car currently holds the record on the Ring, although i do know there is a distinction made between road cars and race/ trackday cars and the Radical is a trackday car.
So the new McLaren might not be able to better the time set by that Radical although it could be faster than a ZR1, GTR or 911 Turbo or whatever car currently holds the record, if so it will be the fastest road/production car on the Ring.

Isn't the overall record held by the Porsche 959 (or 962?)

There must be more than two seperate classes then.

Think you mean 956/962, but anyway you're right there are probably more classes including full racing cars.
But since a lot of small companies building trackday cars which are purely meant for circuits there is a distinction made between these and road cars which obviously have some compromises for road use.
So for production cars you both have trackday versus road cars and for racing cars there are probably a lot of different classes.

Can't wait to pick me out a Bugatti EB-110 :D

Especially the SuperSport version, i don't think it is beautiful exactly but certainly underrated and i think more engaging to drive than the Veyron.
