Think you mean 956/962, but anyway you're right there are probably more classes including full racing cars.
But since a lot of small companies building trackday cars which are purely meant for circuits there is a distinction made between these and road cars which obviously have some compromises for road use.
So for production cars you both have trackday versus road cars and for racing cars there are probably a lot of different classes.

I think that all cars that are road legal should be in the same class, maybe it's already like that, I don't know, Nurb times don't mean much to me. If they keep classifying cars that are road legal into smaller classes, eventually we'll have classes with so many variables, that any car could be a leader in it's category.

Officially they are, although there aren't any legal rules but there seems to be an unwritten law stating that trackday cars ( which are often also road legal although purely designed for track use ) have an "unfair" advantage.
There is some logic to it i guess, but i think it is largely in favour of larger car companies who otherwise could probably never claim a Nurb record.

When was confirmed the Mp4-12c for GT5? :O , its safe to asume that it will be in but its better when you have the confirmation, i want to see it to be happy :D

Also i cant wait to have a Mclaren F1 LM which is my favorite Mclaren and my third favorite car ever after the F40 and the Diablo SV (which im hopping is in the game too).

Yep, we saw only Gallardo LP560-4, the baby lambo revived the company from the ashes and should be praised by that, but Murcielago, Diablo, Miura, Countach and Espada deserves to appear, if all of them are in GT5, I think I'm going to lose some hours just looking at my garage. :D

We don't have any mention of EB110SS though, but I've read somewhere that turbo lag almost kills the pleasure to drive that car, and check this out: It has four vey small turbochargers designed to reduce turbo lag, man, thank God automotive engineering evolved in so many ways.

Couldn't agree more, especially hope the Miura and Espada are in.

The Veyron has also 4 turbochargers, not that much evolution in automotive engineering it seems, and the new McLaren MP4-12C has 2. ;)

But maybe you were being ironic.........

No, I'm not ironic, four small turbochargers used to reduce turbo lag, and the car stills lazy to deliver the turbo boost. That's what I meant, the number of turbochargers is irrelevant, the total boost pressure is what really counts, but turbo lag was a real turndown in the 90's ;) Seems like a project fail by Bugatti to me. ;)

The Veyron in the other side has a remarkable small turbo lag, and the engine is already powerful without any turbo boost so, engineering really evolved in the last decade, regarding turbocharging at least.

Ofcourse 4 small turbo's produce significantly less lag than 1 big one and it's not just about boost only, you can adapt the pressure to suit a certain characteristic you might look for and those turbo's were needed because the V12 engine had a capacity of just 3.5 litre ( quite small even then, and certainly now ).
They just chose for a small V12 engine added by 4 turbo's to achieve the same power/torque figures of bigger V12 or V8 Turbo engines of rival companies, it's a design decision like it or not, doesn't mean it's a failure.
So it's not an existing engine on which they bolted a high pressure turbo to gain more power ( more boost and more lag ) but an engine which had 4 small intergrated turbochargers from the start as a complete package.

The Veyron on the other hand could do without those 4 turbo's, but then it wouldn't achieve the 1001 HP and achieve those staggering performance figures, it's just added boost unlike the EB110 which really needed those 4 small turbochargers to function, as the V12 engine was designed in a way to need those turbo's.
In short the EB110 was intended to drive as a normal V12 and those 4 turbo's were there to compensate the small capacity not supply extra boost ( don't ask me why they've made that decision, maybe tax reasons, etc. but it seemed very clever at the time ).

I'm not sure or care much for that matter which car currently holds the record on the Ring, although i do know there is a distinction made between road cars and race/ trackday cars and the Radical is a trackday car.
So the new McLaren might not be able to better the time set by that Radical although it could be faster than a ZR1, GTR or 911 Turbo or whatever car currently holds the record, if so it will be the fastest road/production car on the Ring.

It would really be a great way to re-launch a road brand to see it go to the top of the'Ring leaderboard. I hope to see a video of it soon, i'm already in love with it's AMG V8... Sounds like a... I don't want to say DTM V8, but just like some sort of touring-car V8.

It hasn't yet.

F1 LM=Awesome👍

As for the Diablo....I cannot imagine it not being in GT5.

Bold. Red. Me.

Yep, agree with every word you said, and adding, maybe the small capacity V12 was designed to be a very lively engine, so Bugatti tuned it to provide low-rev torque with high revving capabilities, then at 3000 RPM the turbos take their place and provide high RPM power to make the car reach incredible speeds. So the torque curve must be more flat, however, many drivers complaint about the turbo lag, perhaps the EB110 is a brilliant project but with a flawled execution. I'll do some research on it.

It's a Myth indeed, I want to drive it more than I want a Veyron.

The more i think of the F1 in Gt5, the less i like the idea of an F1 vs Veyron race. It's pretty obvious who would win in the long run.

What i want to see, however, is if any newer Zondas made the cut. It would be so awesome.

With tuning and whatnot, the F1 has absolutely 100% of being the best production car (if it isn't already). Now, a lot of cars will turn into even bigger beasts with upgrades (hello, ACR, ZR1, Enzo, LP 670-4 SV, MC12, etc,), but the F1....HMMM. Kazunori has said hands down he'd LOVE to drive an F1 over any car that he hasn't yet been able to drive. And I am sure by now he has and he'll give it a little "bias" in the game ;)

It's not that obvious, the F1 is much lighter and more agile than the Veyron.
In the long run it depends which track you're driving them, the more corners the more likely it is the F1 will actually be faster and probably more fun to drive.
On a long run, meaning tracks with long straights or just on a straight line the Veyron will eventually be faster due to its 400 or so more horsepower over the F1 because when you're driving at a certain speed weight becomes less important than the power advantage.
On most occassions however i still think the ageing F1 has the upper hand.;)

I know, no wish lists but... considering how similar they are in body style I see no reason why PD would not include the F1LM... oh yeah and...

start at 7:45

How come they didn't put the driver seat in the middle? That's what signified the F1. If they had, even I would think it was kinda cool...

Why did you post that, now I can't get back to work. :D

According to the configurator you can put carbon fiber all over the car, I guess only the most expensive version will be in the game. If the MP4-12C is in, of course.

I hope we can customize it in the game too, because I made my self a really awesome combo in the configurator...one can hope eh? ;)

New replay video on The Ring.

All F1 videos in post 1.

Sorry if it mentioned before!
Do you guys notice that rear spoiler of McLaren F1 is not animated?
It is something that i notice in very first GT5 McLaren video.

Look for those old NFS 2 McLaren video spoiler comes up at certain speed and when braking.

I have no idea why it's not implemented because Audi R8 have it.

The McLaren F1 doesn't have a retractable spoiler, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren does and so does the new AMG SLS.

You kidding me right???
Type NFS 2 McLaren video in youtube...
And some old 5th gear with McLaren F1.
THEN we can talk.

Yes it does.
Yep, you are right, the McLaren F1 has a small auto-adjustable rear spoiler which is more for balancing the car under braking.

Edit: Damn, loads of replies above saying the same!

No probs man!
(seeing f1 again i wonder every time how beautiful it is...so much innovations here...and performance just stunning.seems like GT5 only way to drive it almost for real!imagine in 3D :) just thoughts...)

You don't know it?
Strange...i think i know it even before my birth! :)
Guess who is the driver? ;)

Racing driver Andy Wallace. Of course I knew, but some people perhaps don't. ;)
