im happy to see that glorious car in GT5

did you hear the slr mclaren in the 2nd video
it sounds like GT4 .. wich was **** .. totally unrealistic
hope they get the sounds right .. or it well be a huge disappoint for us all

It doesn't really sound any worse than the rest of the cars. I think the F1 at least sounded definitive. If just a bit stale.

Finally, Gran Turismo 5 will offer exclusive in-game cars as pre-order incentives, including a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Nissan GT-R GT500, a McLaren F1 and more. Each car features an exclusive Gran Turismo-themed livery custom-designed by Polyphony Digital, with select performance upgrades over the standard versions of the cars available in the game. Pre-orders offers are coming soon at participating retailers. These pre-order cars are available for both the standard and Collector's Edition versions.
 
Those cars better be available outside of pre-ordering.
 
For me McLaren F1 is most anticipated car in GT5.So any information on EU version pre-order?

That would defeat the purpose of pre-ordering now wouldn't it? If you don't get the pre order then you can build it yourself within the game you know. It's not like FM3 where if you didn't get the special version of the game you can't use or recreate the VIP cars.

I think that is also just for the Collector's Edition of GT5, custom liveries and special PD tuned cars I believe.

I think its a special tuned version of McLaren F1 with special livery.Omg it's enough for pre-order...
 
Yeah it is arguably the greatest car. But it will be nice if they have Mclarens new car as well. Mclaren MP4 12C
 
Its a case of if a version of the 12c has been around long enough for PD to measure up.

I certainly hope mclaren have been on to PD about getting it in the game, if the car is targeting the porsche market then getting a good showing in the most highly regarded racing game over porsche will be a good step.
 
So: the McLaren F1 will be Premium: so, if polyphony tells things right it will have full damage!
 
Yes it's best news that its premium...But I not want to damage it.It's a last car I want to damage.Never! :)

They said that it's more lightweight, featuring special upgrade and livery.So it's obliviously that tuning in this game is mind-blowing!We can see accurately removed rear electronic spoiler and seat replacement!Wow!

Does this imply that GT5 will resurrect the classic race-mod from GT2? Like to see that *drool*. Anyway sweet! If I get GT5, I'm gonna go buy the McLaren ASAP! Don't forget the race-mod (if I can). Also imagine the race-modding on this game...

We should be getting the McLaren F1 roadcar, this tuned F1 roadcar and also I'm guessing the FINA BMW McLaren F1 GTR longtail racer that was in GT4. Fingers crossed for the LM and at least one short tail GTR. Possibly the 1995 Le Mans winner or hopefully the JGTC Champion Lark car (great livery one of the best GTR liveries in my opinion).

Kaz says that tuning will be better than any other GT and any other racing game.GT and GT5 by itself is most accurate racer ever, so tuning must be at same (mind-blowing), very detailed level, McLaren F1 is also PREMIUM model, so we have very best representation of McLaren F1 ever + some very accurate, *GT5 level of detail* tuning!Come on! 👍 👍 👍

You ask very much I think.There is 200 premiums, and we already saw around 110 of them.I think they won't do "more of the same" cars, because they don't have a much time.It's not "copy-paste" Forza car models! :sly:

Hoho, nothing I like less then what Forza have done (still enjoy the game though but stuff like that doesnt help). I do hope for at least one short tail and one long tail GTR, seeing as though how loved the F1 is, I think there is a big chance we'll see at least the FINA longtail GTR.
 
Yes we all dream about them, but Forza car detail is nowhere near GT5...Looking forward to cockpit view! ;)

I wonder what the chances are that this is one of GT5's unannounced premium cars?

I can't wait to receive my GT5 and get my DLC F1 (courtesy of gamestop!) the other 5 cars from the CE and the NASCAR from preorder is just a bonus IMO. i really want that mclaren. Ever since (i hate to say it) NFS6: HP2, i have been in love with McLaren cars.

(BTW why isn't the new NFS: HP called NFS: HP3, it IS the 3rd Hot pursuit game they made -.-)

We are getting neither LM GTR's, as far as we are currently aware, this could change though.

Its the F1 Road car we are getting. Although the Fina BMW longtail will probably be in the game from GT4.
 
Personally looking forward to see McLaren coming to GT.

The longtail GTR in GT4 was a nice addition, but it's nice to see McLaren going under it's official banner and not BMW's.
Great to see the original F1 in there, lot of other games usually only include the longtail GT or longtail race car.
Hoping to see a lot more representation in the game unlike a few other manufacturers (Gillet, Panoz to name a few)
 
I think you agree with me - road version of McLaren F1 in GT5 is ALREADY very, very good! (and we can even tune it!)
