You're all wrong. It's the Audi R8. Same view from Prologue and you can hear the engine at certain parts.
If you noticed, that car he pictured doesn't have tobacco advertising on it. Not even the subliminal bar code. It would be fair game for GT5, but I wouldn't expect it.
It still has the Marlboro colours and the unmistakable Marlboro 'arrow' though?
why in the world is an R8 passing F1s?
It actually sounds pretty good too.
Ferrari F1 car I'm guessing. The car is clearly a lot faster than the Mclaren F1 and I don't think there is much that would be able to out accelerate the F1 so easily.
Hi guys there was some debate about the Mclaren F1'a air brake so this video should put that to rest .
Seriously? It's obviously an Enzo. You can hear that it's an Enzo, and the nose is poking out...
I think people have the wrong impression of the F1 if they're expecting the super-stiff, track-happy kind of modern supercar the likes of the Enzo have ushered in. It was always meant to be (comparatively) soft so it'd be comfortable on public roads. A lot has changed in 15+ years, especially in regards to tire development. Plus, the common view on the F1 is that it's aerodynamics aren't entirely sorted, meaning it's actually pretty vague and scary up at higher speeds.
I think the F1 is the best car ever made, it looks good, not too flashy but it looks like what it is, a fast car. And i love the fact that it doesn`t have a rear spoiler, it`s like it`s showing off to other supercars, "I can do this, and I can do that, don`t even need a spoiler". Awesome car, and 3 seats, ideal for a small family![]()
Compared to today, something with only 470-eh HP can't even come near 230+ M/H. But McLaren defied it. And that's why I love it.![]()
lesser stopping power and handling ( due to poor aerodynamics )
Even so, the F1 will be one of the most incredible cars to drive, unique cockpit viewpoint and brutal acceleration with lesser stopping power and handling ( due to poor aerodynamics ), it will be as cult as the F40 is in Prologue.
Yes SlipZtrEm I agree that the F1 despite being designed to be the ultimate drivers car foremost, it was also designed so it could ( theoretically at least ) be used as an everyday car or travelling large distances in relative comfort.
Today's hypercars are mostly great on a track and focus less ( or at all ) on possible everyday tasks or providing much comfort.
The Veyron you mentioned being a possible exception as I see it more as a mid-engined GT with extraordinary performance figures but far less involving to drive apparantly ( not that I would ever be found at the wheel of any of these cars to make a proper judgement myself, mainly basing my theory on road tests by car magazines ).![]()
That is the best sum-up of McLaren F1 ever. I love the timeless shape, the McLaren heritage, and the insane crazy speeds this car could do. It is a brilliant peice of machinery that still kicks ass in the morning, and heads to the grocery store in the evening. Compared to today, something with only 470-eh HP can't even come near 230+ M/H. But McLaren defied it. And that's why I love it.

I'll second that, suspensions weren't so advanced in the nineties as they are today, these magnetic dampers make a lot of difference. The same goes for tire development during the years.
