The ghost cars, as people, and myself, discovered, are fake. Here's an explaination

  • Ghost car driving - Nope, the car doesn't drive, it simply spawns at the top of a hill, and rolls down automatically when you come near
  • Ghost car scratches not leaving - in my opinion, it's nothing special. The explaination is that the car is meant to look like a wreck, being found in the middle of nowhere, and that instead of the complications of it having to spawn differently to a normal car, the car just has scratches no matter what you do to it. Think of it as a differernt model, but that looks the same as the original but with some scratches.
Sadly, that's that. I would have loved it to be a ghost car, but it's not sadly. As for the yeti, where can i find it? I like to investigate before i make any judgements ;)
 
It's near the hills in central Back 'o Beyond that look like horseshoes on the radar. It's marked on both the points of intrest map and the vehicle spawns map at GameFAQs.
I think all of the smashed Glendales that spawn in various places* have the same 'ghosty' properties, the one there is probably just a glitch.

*There's usually one in the junkyard north of Angel Pine.
 
There's one just to the side of the highway by that Mountain. It's a rundown shack or something and in the carport is I think a old pickup banged up like the rest. (Sorry bout the names haven't played in like 6 months)

I'm currently hunting around the family house armed only with a camera and a desert eagle. So far nothing but I will keep looking.

Update 3: anyone who doubts that he haunted cars are special should take one to a Pay&Spray. They all have the phenomenon that I have highlighed in an earlier post.

I have just finished my 2 virtual week photo tour of the the Johnson family house. Nothing, I have come to the inevitable decision that the family house is NOT haunted!

This is SO funny: 100 GTP users stalking their own houses armed to the teeth in a videogame trying to catch ghosts. It's like staring directly at your tea kettle.

I´ve seen Leatherface. It was at the area where you do the forest races for Cesar at the scond island. I had just flipped my car and failed the mission when I got attacked by a guy with a chainsaw, I didn´t think about it much then before I read about the rumors, but now I´m sure it was him. Not lying. Honest.

I don't believe you. No-one has ever produced evidence of leatherface or bigfoot. There's been dozens of threads over at GTAforums.com and to this day no-one has supplied proof of it. Just lots of BS claims.

There's nothing "haunted" about those cars. They're just old junkers lying around the game. The reason they don't get fixed up in a Pay'n'Spray is because they've got their own special model which has those scratches and dents on them by default. It's not like a normal car with damage which can be repaired.

As has already been pointed out, there's one in the Back o' Beyond that spawns on a slope and rolls down.

But it doesn't chase you.
If you get into it, the other one nearby doesn't chase you.
CJ's dad wasn't killed in that car.
CJ's brother wasn't killed in that car.
It's not Bigfoot's car.
Bigfoot didn't caused the damage to the car.

It's just a beat up old car that spawns on a hill and rolls down.

A long time ago I was walking around Back O' Beyond, I had flipped my car so I didn't have much choice, and I thought I heard like a growl or a howl of some kind. It kind of sounded like an ape of sorts. It was at night, I do remember that, probably past midnight.

Although it might've been my imagination (I had been paying close attention to this thread back then) one can't completely eliminate the possibility of some strange sounds around there. You can hear stuff at Aldea Malvada after all, even if you need to turn the volume way, way up.
 
Well, is it natural to have 5 plane crashes in less than a minute? Because that happened to me in the quarry!

I was by the Big Ear one time and it spawned late and killed me. I was standing right where it normally spawns and it fell on top of me.
 
You know what's the most scariest and annoying part of GTA:SA the fact that if your on the highway in lets say a cheetah, that any other car can easily match your speed. And they do that weird laggy foward and back motion.
 
Yes, I just shiver in fear when a Walton passes my Turismo. :rolleyes:
 
I'm on a paranormal hunt right now, I'm in the cave on mt chiliad (By the Scrapyard, about a third of the way up) Looking for ghosts. It's 19:20 in-game time now, I got up here at about 10:30 in the morning, since then there has been 2 flashes on the screen, I don't know what these are but they did happen. I wonder if this is to do with the 'Ghosts' people claim to see?

I'm heading into back o beyond as we speak now, as that's where most people claim to have seen him, I'll spend a game-day in here and I'll record what I see, so far, nothing.

MAJOR UPDATE!

I saw a figure walk across the screen, quite far away though, just visible.

Bigfoot? Doubt it
Ped? Most Likely

Maybe this is what people saw? The mind can form it's own opinions, and helping the 'Bigfoot' theory Bigfoot is mentioned in the manual, this could mean anything, the Bigfoot monster truck team helping with the monster truck physics? Rockstar workers nickname? Maybe

Another Update:

It's just gone 23:00 in-game and I just heard a strange noise, it sounded like a grunt of some sort, although it could very well be that CJ is getting hungry, I haven't fed him in ages.

The green fog has crashed the party now, spooky.

No Bigfoot then

Now onto U.F.O/Aliens

I'm heading to Tierra Robada in a Hydra now

First U.F.O Update:

I'm siting there on a Quad with the radio off, but it has just changed itself to K-Dst without me touching the controller. Hmmm... Very Strange. Now it's gone all static.

Second U.F.O Update:

Nothing yet, but I have noticed that there is a large amount of birds flying about in the desert, they are dark coloured so the shape is hard to make out against the night sky, maybe this is the 'U.F.O' people claim to see, or is it the Rustlers/Stuntplanes flying overhead.

The pulsing light that comes in Green, White or red is to simulate air traffic (Planes at a high distance)

I'm gonna go to Area 69 now, since it's dark in-game now, maybe this will help us on our Paranormal Adventure?

Oh man! There's a sandstorm right now, I can't see anything! Oh well, I'm still going to Area 69.

I can't get into Area 69 (Before you ask I've tried using the Jetpack to get in, no use, I just get shot out of the sky) So I'm looking in through the gate

:nervous: I'm getting scared now, there's another Sandstorm but this time I'm also hearing scary noises, it sounds similar to the sound a car will make it reverses although there's no cars in the area.

I'm unsure about U.F.O/Aliens.

I've just got news of a new paranormal mystery! It is called... The No-Eared People!

They are people walking around Fort Carson in the desert with no ears, people claim they say things to you like 'They're out there' and various other things to do with Aliens, I have yet to see them but if any of you see them please post pics

I'm now heading over to the 'Haunted House' in prickle pine now. I'll update later.

Wow, now this house is spooky! The light that changes from red to white is there, I'm watiching it now. No so sounds yet though... Strange

Now this house really is Haunted! I'm hearing footsteps, heavy breathing and groaning, this is scary, I'm getting the heck out of here!

O.K I'm out, this is what I have so far...

Ghosts - UNCONFIRMED the flashes I saw could very well have something to do with the ghosts

Bigfoot - ALSO UNCONFIRMED I don't know what I saw walking across the horison but I think it was a ped

U.F.O/Aliens - FALSE Although the radio acting up is true

No-Eared People - UNCONFIRMED I have yet to see them myself

Haunted House - TRUE Scary noises, weird light, what more does a haunted house need to become a haunted house?

Well, the "Leather Face" might be just a guy with a chainsaw. Even though you never see
peds armed with chainsaws. Didn´t look at the guy so I don´t know if it was "Leather face"
or a ped. @ 2 posts... Well... Often I can´t be bothered to post. It´s too much of an efford. :P

Edit: When I said I didn´t look at him, I meant that I didn´t look at the body
after killing him.

Saw something strange just now, but it might be lag or a glitch. I was driving in
the Prickle Pine area (after getting too scared to stay in the haunted house)
and I saw a car parked outside a house with a ped dressed in white next to it.
When I approached it, the white-dressed ped dissapeared. At least it looked like
a ped. It was on open street at 10-11 PM.

Edit nr 2: Where is the area where the T-rex/raptor is supposed to be?
I searched the area around the San Fierro airport, but found no tall grass!
 
Just outside the airport, there's a T junction. South goes to the Easter Tunnel, east goes to the airport, west goes towards the stadium. The tall grass that I assume you're looking for is directly southwest of this intersection (the only tallish grass in the area). There's a camera spawn right by the sidewalk.
Now, this area is extremely high traffic and wide open, there's no way anything is hidden in here that nobody's spotted yet. I don't know why anybody would tell you theres anything there. You probably couldn't find it because you dismissed it as too stupid a place to put anything secret, but again, it's the only tall grass near that airport.

I havent played the game in a few months but where exactly is this cave you are speaking of? I never knew there was one up there. Great post BTW!

If you go to the Scrapyard with the two ghost glendales in there, you will find a large area of grass between there and Mt. Chiliad, go to Mt. Chiliad and go directly up a little bit and left a little bit and you should you a flat area, land on there and look to your right, and there you *Should* have it

Yep. Its just an archway. Not really a cave at all. Nothing special really.
