So... I was talking with someone that dislikes the amazing new MLP.
He doesn't care about good animation, story or voice acting. He dislikes the pink, purple and rainbows of the new series, so I said that if you made a series that has terrible animation, story and voice acting but didn't have it filled with rainbows and all the 'girly stuff' he'd like the show to which he actually AGREED. So basically he'd like something that is terrible but isn't girly opposed to something girly but good.
Okay, I suppose people like that exist too.

He blew my mind so much I asked him if he likes bananas, but decided to not do that so I said never mind. :lol:


I smoothed the deal. He now says that both the generations are ''equal as in, cause raising bloodpressure, headache, irritation..''

This is wrong, but it is going in the right path.


I hope he doesn't check this thread now...

It's the Brony community, you should always expect stuff like that to happen quickly. Pretty much everything which has happened today just goes to show how fast we move.


Also, now that season 2 is up and running, I think there's a good chance that we'll see a load of new Trollestia images cropping up:

That's the first and only Trollestia pic from season 2 as far as I know.
 
They couldn't use horns or wings. I don't think dischord would like guards or a guide.

I found that hilarious as well, Celestia didn't even bother with providing help or anything, just "Go against the thing that me and Luna almost could not defeat, good luck BTW"(is not that funny when I post it like this, but that was exactly the thing that was on my mind at the moment).
 
Y'know, looking at KnowYourMeme, I think half the internet's production of images is now geared towards pony. There's nothing else that pulls up the numbers we do.

Season Two's gunna result in a landslide of additional material, as we've already seen. Sibsy says she personally feels the expression palette has been increased even more, so it's nothing but good news!

Also, more Cheerilee is always awesome.
 
After a bit of thinking, I came to an idea as a result of a discussion in a Pony thread that is totally not this one!

Anyways, taking bets now:

Discord attempts to corrupt Twilight by painting the picture of Tyrant Celestia and shaking her belief in the princess. He twists Celly and Luna's usurpation of his rule as being them trying to rule the world.

I would literally put money on it being attempted if Part 2 makes Discord more villainous than he was in the first part. There was more than enough background information introduced in the episode regarding Discord's history that they could absolutely try to pull that plot off if they wanted to. It wouldn't even be that hard to do it in a way that the "target demographic" could get the greater implications too.
 
^I really, really hope that happens. That would just put so much more depth into the story it would just blow my mind.

And I'll read something tomorrow. When I said that I wasn't considering the fact the episode aired today, and I don't like reading non-canon on the same day I watch an episode. There are only 2 stories I would make an exception for, TNTNE and TBoTS.

What about blackmailing, Dischord could use that card, like "If you keep going you wont have friends anymore" or something similar, it was used against RD, I can see it being used with Twilight and her friends.

I would consider the Tyrant Celestia scenario likely but then Celestia is only limited to an observer instead of a protagonist when interacting with the mare 6 (but I could be wrong since new stuff can be used, and since everything with Discord is also theoretical).

And I don't think the gallery will hold anything after episode 4 or 5.

Also,
RD wasn't blackmailed into leaving, she was told that she had to save Cloudsdale because it was falling apart.
And Celestia is already just an observer, she's doing nothing right now, that we know of, but waiting for them to return. And I don't see how that scenario could limit her anymore than she already is.

That's quite an interesting idea Toro, in fact I kind of wish that would happen in the second episode. It all depends though really, do you actually think Discord will become more villainous in Part 2? I can imagine that happening to be honest, but even so, I wouldn't be prepared to put money on Discord manipulating Twilight in that way.

by the way:
I can't see Twilight being blackmailed in the next episode. It would be interesting if it did happen, but I just don't think it will.

I think that:
Something'll happen at Cloudsdale? Remember that tiny animation reel? That's gotta be Grey Dash getting lassoed by Applejack to help them out, rather than trying to escape or something.

Perhaps they start to naturally resume their roles, showing that harmony and friendship defeats discord in the end anyway.

You know, I would be tempted to put money on that happening:
The elements were within each Pony all along, and that they must truly embrace their elements somehow in order to restore harmony. Only then will they be able to defeat Discord.

Also, do you think the CMC will play a part in episode 2? If so, how would they be able to help restore harmony if they did play a vital role in the next episode?
