Well I decided to venture a bit more tonight on
A Precious Rainbow tangential stories, after reading most of the whole set I can see this working as a whole multi-parter story with well planed 10-12 chapters, here is how it goes(chronologically speaking):
>"Cupcakes"(base for this, but a pretty good base in some details)
>
"A Precious Rainbow"
>
"The Cupcake Killer"(continuation to RD's side of the story)
>
"Apple of Her Eye"(continuation from the events of The Cupcake Killer)
>
"Confessions of Love"(Hard shipping, also connection chapter between AHE and TJCK)
>
"The Journal of the Cupcake Killer"(continuity from Luna's perspective on the story, investigation and records of the whole Cupcakes thing)
>
"Investigation of a Nightmare"(prologue to TJCK, set after the events of cupcakes, CSI ponyville staring Horatio Luna or something)
And two side stories that I haven't read yet:
>
"Living the Dream"(inspired on APR, I haven't read it yet)
>
"A Broken Lyre"(Lyra's perspective of the Cupcakes case)
This completes the whole package which in my opinion should be condensed into one big multi-parter. The chapters as a whole work pretty well, is pretty much ED material and it has received good feedback, one of the problems that might occur if hypothetically becomes a single story(like TNTNE) is the lack of connection and consistency(half of it is RD's PTSD centric, and the other half is Luna's CSI ponyville centric).
Further thoughts on this will follow tomorrow late, but it pretty much compensates the bad with the good and makes it a worthy read, considering some elements of it I must say that the Luna CSI centric chapters are actually quite good, and they don't lack as much as the RD's Centric chapters which still lack in some areas.
Trust me though, this Daytonaaaaaaa thing is nothing compared to the TV discussions that have ocurred in this thread at various points throughout the past few months. In fact, I think we're due yet another TV discussion very soon, so watch out for that
Dammit I forgot
House MD, but I'm watching the new season of
James May's Man Lab which is quite good but I haven't seen the most recent ones(a new episode will air these, and I guess I'll be watching that too).
I'm pretty late, and I'm pretty sure I'll be busy until late tomorrow, I also got a GTA IV agenda to cover, BF3 and I don't think I'll squeeze more time for Arkham City, in any case I'll get time for all this somehow.
Goodnight everyone.
