Yikes! What city are you near on that map?

Today was HOT! And, tomorrow will be a lot hotter and then Sunday will be the hottest of the weekend! We're talking 95-100 degrees easily. Damn, looks like the low temperatures of June Gloom are finally over, since the weather will stay that way for the rest of the week and then the July 4th holiday weekend.

I'm in Fargo. Just about 2 hours later and we surprisingly haven't had any rain yet. In fact, what was heading towards us appears to be breaking up. We hit somewhere in the low 90's today and even with the huge front that is moving in, we're still at 84° at 10:30pm.

Edit: Spoke too soon - we're getting rain now. That cell just kinda came out of no where. And it no longer looks like it'll break up. Me and my big mouth!

I'll buy some of that. How many mm is the red?
Those areas received 1"-3" (approx. 25-76mm) over a few hours. The pink blip south of Grand Forks at 8:15 produced straight line winds strong enough to blow a semi off the interstate, a tornado and hail. Would you like to buy some of that, too? :P

Right now it's 70°, we're only supposed to get up to 77° with more rain, but not as heavy as last night.

Just the rain please. :D :P

Got to 96 degrees here today, with backyard temps at 94. The humidity was high again (50%) so the humidex temperature was 106! Bleah!

However, the late afternoon is cooling down a bit faster than yesterday and a nice breeze is blowing, which usually means tomorrow will be cooler.

Hot, a bit too humid, but cool enough to BBQ some steaks. Firing up the grill as I type.

We had an amazing day here. It was probably around 70 but crystal clear so Mount Rainier looked great and even downtown was very impressive. It's days like today that make me very glad to live in Seattle! I can't wait to see the sun setting over the Olympics from my house tonight.

It reached about 85° here today (Although my car, having been sat in the sun all day, read 98!) with a humidity level of 65% both today and last night. It was too humid to sleep, I only got 2 hours in the end. It's expected to stay like that for a while yet too :(

Wow it's 60 and rainy here, your weather feels more like Michigan's this time and year and ours feels like the UK's. Weird how that works.

It's about time we had some sunshine given that the last 2 summers have looked like this;

^That's about 30 mins from where I live

Ya I was at Oxford during the 2007 flooding, quite an experience to say the least.

Looking back, I've no idea why I didn't go out and about with my camera, I could have got some stunning photos!

It did produce this gem though;

 I got some pictures somewhere of people trying to ride through the waters with their bikes and what not. I was in the city centre so the flooding wasn't awful but apparently outside the city got hit pretty hard.

65% humidity is average good weather conditions for Kentucky. It is when the temperature gets up to 90 or higher and the humidity gets into the 80% range when the heat index breaks 100 degrees and you can't walk outside for more than a few seconds without feeling like you just walked under a water mister.

Saturday morning we had humidity around 80% and temperatures in the mid-80's. I played disc golf for an hour and when I came in I could actually squeeze sweat from my clothes because it just did not evaporate.

Around August is when every day gets in the mid-90s with high humidity. Right now it is a once every week or two thing when it isn't raining.

I like it. Wind is a bit brisk, but I'm not going to complain about 75° and 40-45%.

It's been pretty hot here in Alabama lately. At least 90*+ every day for the past week or so.

A few days ago, there were a few tornados and a waterspout where I used to live in Jacksonville, Fl.

Here's the tornado...

(the awesome starts at 2:28)

And here's the waterspout. The audio sucks on this one, but it has the best view I've seen...

That Jacksonville tornado looks like it would produce some stunning photo ops, I wish we had that sort of weather from time to time over here!

Agreed. Quite a few tornados happen around here in Alabama, but I've yet to be able to take some photos or even see one yet. Hopefully soon. :D

No, you don't. One of the scariest moments in my life was when a tornado just missed my high school. I have also helped people dig through what used to be their house to find personal items that can be salvaged.

That kind of devastating weather is awe inspiring and absolutely amazing to look at, right up until the point it hits someone you know. Trust me when I tell you that the only difference between seeing it on TV and in real life are the running and screaming bits.

Here in south florida, we're about a point away from the air turning to water.

Basically it's way to hot here. Only have to step outside into direct sunlight for a second and you can feel it burning away uncomfortably.

Summary: Sticky and Sweaty.

According to the MET Office, yesterday we hit 89.2°, so they've raised the heatwave alert level to 3 (Why the hell do we even need levels?)

Humidity is now around 45%, which is much better. I even washed the car today :) It's stupidly hot for the UK at the minute though, the average for this time of year is 68°

I've got tomorrow off work and then I'm back to work on Friday stuck in a room with a carvery unit that's kept hotter than 176° all day :(

88° and 60% humidity again, but I've been cruising around with the a/c on and some old hip hop blasting and life is goooood :D

I'm sitting in my back garden and it's 2am. It's actually too hot to go inside and get some sleep.

Was 35.4 degrees Centigrade today according to a thermometer of mine.
