TB
I was born in Georgia and have been back a handful of times in the summer. Given a choice between here and there, I'll gladly take here.

You know you are lying to yourself...

A few days above 100° is nothing like the weeks of ice cold, snow covered, frozen hell, you endure every year. :sly:

I've decided that I have a relatively narrow operating window. I would say that anywhere between 12°c and 25-27°c is acceptable (possibly 30°c with low humidity and a light breeze). Any temperature outside that is just a battle against nature. Why anyone would want to live anywhere were it's 42°c and 95% humidity is beyond me. That's just making life difficult for yourself. And those of you living in places where it gets down to -25°c don't get away with it... what's the matter with you? Move away, NOW!

;)

Btw, this was spotted in Wales over the weekend...

That's just lazy.

Driving to work this morning people were doing 20 in 50 and 60 zones because there was snow. At the side of the road. Nowhere near the driving line. What the hell is wrong with everyone? I did about 5mph below the speed limit on every road this morning without a single issue. Idiots.

Just as the last of it was melting, it has started snowing again! The roads were bad enough as it is, cycling is becoming slightly insane :scared:

It's been raining here for a couple of hours, it's turned to snow now though and it's coming down quite fast. It won't settle as the ground is completely soaked.
It's also extremely cold, my heater is on full and has been since I woke up. Yet I'm sat here in massive fluffy slippers, thermal underwear, chinos, a t-shirt, jumper, gloves with a dressing gown on top.....I'm still cold.

Was -4 all today, no more snowfalls however all the snow has frozen solid so very slippy , but my work boots are excellent in all conditions. Saw the sun for about an hour and off this morning and was hoping it would start to melt the snow but temperatures never got high enough.

Supposed to be some heavy rain later in the week so hopefully that will wash it away.

Managed to get the E30 off the drive and had enough grip and momentum to get off my road on the main road. :D Then went straight to the abandoned Showcase Cinema car park and had some fun, although I did have to dig myself out at one point. :P

Gonna risk it driving instead of walking in to work tomorrow.

I can always wear more clothes. I can't get more naked.

I can tolerate cold but heat will wipe me out in an instant. I agree with TB. But I also start feeling hot when the air gets above 72.

And for some reason people look at me funny when I go to the beach naked...

And I get stares of awe and amazement at my gorgeous physique so I'm not sure what your problem is.

I just get stares.

I was going to type something eerily similar to that yesterday.

Currently 16f (-9c) with a wind chill of 6f (-14c).

Low tonight: 9f (-13c) with a wind chill of -3f (-19c).

TB, you can have your weather back.

Snowing very hard here but not settling as the ground is wet after alot of rain this morning.

This is probably the most snow I've ever seen in my area in my lifetime. 6 day weekend :D.

Usually Scotland gets huge amounts of snow whilst South Wales gets a few flurries, totally reversed this time though.

It was great the last few days, and today was just little bit different. It was 78 outside today with a little bit of haze and cloud blanket that filled the entire sky. The temps are dropping, though. Right now, even. It has dropped 10 degrees in a just 2.5 hours. Cooler temps for the next few days and then a good chance of rain for the weekend.

It's -2F with a -13F windchill, much better than the -30F windchill this morning.:nervous:

Although once a "-" is in front of the temp. it's just 🤬 cold, specifics don't mean much.

Should be back in the 20's by the weekend, will be welcomed.

Must of snowed quite a bit during the night, as it has settled on the ground here for the first time this year. There's still a few flurries at the moment.

It's still snowing, got another 2" last night and its supposed to continue throughout the day. I think the totals for my area are at 5-6". A little further to the west, like 10 miles, they have 12"+.

It was bitter cold last night. About 1F and 20+mph winds. So the wind chill was around -20F. We have more snow right now than our grand total for last year. Actually had to fire up the quad so I could plow last night. Really got to put my new Carhartts to use. I cant believe how warm those things are!! Well worth the purchase and perfect timing too. 👍

It is absolutely FREEZING outside. Maybe 20 degrees at the most but it's windy which makes it feel like it's about 13 degrees... Can't stand it.

It was -1'F on my walk to my co-operative work placement yesterday, I got a ride today (it's -2'F.)

That's like -19 degrees celsius. Add in the windchill factor yesterday, and it felt like -29 degrees celsius. Now that's cold.

Anyway, continue on with your complaint :p

It started snowing today quite heavily, and I saw it settling on the ground. But because it wasn't snowing long enough and because of a sudden temperature rise, the extra snow that fell today instantly melted, just leaving the ice remains that are left :( .
