Ya we're already at around 10-11" and it's snowing hard with some serious wind too.
I don't doubt that one bit. I75 is essentially impassible because people are struggling to hit 25 mph in the Grayling area.

Gone from tropical paradise to English summer in about 1 week. Everyone is wearing jackets now. It’s 12°C in the evening/morning and still 30°C during the day. I’m loving it.

Brilliant timing on this storm - I have to drive to Toronto tomorrow. There were cars stuck on the road overnight. Will be up nice and early to check road conditions to see what sort of time a normally 2 hour drive could take.

23" of snow and its still falling. I keep breaking sheet pins on my snowblower too which is a pain in the ass. Thankfully, Lowes was open at 6am so I could go restock. I was down to one left after starting with 8. Gravel driveways are annoying at times.

We're supposed to get 4-6" today, 2-3" tonight, and 6-10" tomorrow. By Monday we could have over 40" of snow and its supposed to snow every day next week. I regret not buying snowmobiles.

Nothin' but rain here at the moment. I saw some moths a few nights ago, too. I'm in CT, for reference, so I think it's bizarre to still see any insects at this time of the year.

It's been a surprisingly warm December so far, averaging between upper 40s to mid 50s and even low 60s some days.

Looks like I'm pretty much guaranteed to get hit pretty hard (pretty much in the middle of 8+" zone), hopefully nobody's furnace breaks after it starts because I'm not going out in this.
You know better than anyone that that's when furnaces break is when you really need them.

We got a free upgrade to first class a blizzard warning over night.

But at least the winds are only supposed to be 45 instead of 50, so I've got that going for me.

Ya the wind is going to be crazy though. In the last 24 hours, it's rained, then to freezing rain, then to snow, then sleet, then back to rain, and now it's freezing fog. In like 12 hours, the lake effect is going to kick on, and we're due for 9-13" or more where I'm at. This winter is shaping up to be harder than last winter, and last winter sucked big time.
