Haha. False alarm. The clouds came back today. There were some showers. It was around 65 for most of the day. It's supposed to cool down tomorrow, but Solid Lifters makes a good point about that.

It was dry today, unlike yesterday when parts of the UK had biblical rains. We had a constant torrential downpour for most of the day where I am, but that pales in comparason to those unlucky people in other parts where a months worth of rain fell in just 12 hours. The Uk news is now full of reports on the subsequent flooding that affected numerous towns across the country. Worst affected were the midlands and south Yorkshire - areas where some GTPers live.

Yes and with a reservoir dam causing much worry near Rotherham things don't look too good with the next few days weather set for more rain with two massive banks of heavy cloud coming on Thursday and Friday. 4 people killed already it could be more with more heavy rain expected.

I'm just thankful that I live 6-7 miles away from a river of any note, we have a tiny stream but even that's 3 miles away and is pretty small.

We are having rolling blackouts in my area of Sheffield at the moment. Although i live only a couple of hundred meters away from a stream/river we're actually about 100 meters higher up - so i doubt it will flood us. Unfortunately the dam near Rotherham that still looks set to burst (rain forecast until at least Sunday) will take out Sheffields power supply too. :(

We had a BBQ today. Had family and friends over. It was hot, and it's going to get a lot hotter in the next couple of days, too. Bleh. I ran the smoker all day with some spareribs and chicken. Mom brought a mac salad that had garbanzo beans in it. Why do old people always bring food that has one horrible ingredient or item in it? Ever noticed that? Last time, it was corn dogs and tater tots deep fried in rancid oil, and the time before that a Jello dessert with cloves and the time before that... better left unsaid.

It was bright blue skies, with a bit of smokey haze in the late evening. Very hot, like 93-96 out, with no breeze whatsoever. Just think, it's going to be hotter in a couple days. Oh joy.

This is a forecast we all can agree on :D:

Today is the nicest 4th of July I can remember (for those not familiar with Washington weather, it's almost never sunny on July 4th, even if the days before and after it are...). Not a cloud in sight, and right around 80 degrees. Find me more perfect weather...come on, I dare you! Time for me to go get a nice sunburn :D

Whew, 105°F out, although it’s also a bit humid, so it feels warmer. When I woke up this morning it was already 97°F – inside of our house.

Most of our large glass, with metal frames, windows sit in the sun all day. With the AC on full blast for several days, all day long, our house was 84 degrees. Outside, it was 102. We were to BBQ, and do fun things and then go somewhere to watch fireworks. It was too hot to eat, too hot to do anything and I'm not going outside until the fireworks start and I'm going to watch them from our home. The boys don't care and decided it was too hot to go swimming. Think about that one for a while.

Just five minutes ago, the boys and I finally ate something; hot dogs like we planed to have today. We nuked them 'cause it was too hot to fire up the BBQ. The wife only wanted yougurt and a small salad.

July 4th celebration canceled due to extreme temperatures. We should've went to the beach with the 82 billion other folks.

The first heat wave of this year. My house temp reached 31C at 6pm and it was equally brutal outside. The thing is, its not that its humid or hot here, but the sun just kills. Run outside for 10 min at 2pm and you'll never want to run again.

Tomorrow is even hotter. And even worse towards the weekend, apparently. My computer overheated.

It's muggy and I can see thunderstorms in surrounding areas. Huge lightnings, too. I was crusing around with my watch and cell phone off of me.

It's supposed to get humid, rainy and with big thunder storms here in the Inland Empire tomorrow. I don't think it will. The weather was too perfect today.

Thank Petey the heat wave from last week is over. It's been perfect here for the past five days, or so. Warm, sunny and mostly clear, with cool night temperatures. Perfect.

Solid, it was nice and sunny here yesterday. I think it started getting muggy last night, and finally, just couple of hours ago, mega lightnings. :scared:

Either summer took a break or it left for the year. We've had a lot of rain here recently. It's either pouring or sprinkling most of the time, and the rest of the time we have a lot of dark clouds. We had about a week where the temperature was above 75º and sunny. It went straight to rain.

It's 78F with no cloud in sight and a good amount of gusts but just enough to keep you cool, classic weather for California. :)

A bit hotter here in the Inland Empire.

It was 93 with no wind, but a light breeze this moment. Bright blue skies and good, clean air quality. It's the beginning of a heat wave, though. Perfect swimming weather.

Tomorrow could reach 100, or near it. Bleah.

By not means perfect here either, the day before I left Maui to come back to SJ and the day of it was raining here.

It's raining...but it always rains here. I can't wait for Barcelona, it's 90 and sunny right now.

It's been around 80 and sunnny here for the last few days. I woke up to an early cloud cover that stayed to lunch, and a power outage (related?). It cleared up and it was sunny for the rest of the day. Rain is predicted for Saturday, though.:)

Earlier, it was around 80 degrees, and we were playing basketball in the sun. It felt like it was 100 degrees. :D

I'm trying to decide if the humidity under the clouds or the heat of the sun was worse. The humidity might have been worse, because it felt all sticky and I had to have the heat on to keep the windows defogged.:grumpy:

Very sticky and humid right now. Feels like 85-90 degrees right now, and it's just 76. It's very cloudy and gray. I hate this kind of weather. I think it might rain here.

Hmm. For the next ten days, in sunny and in the 90's here with very little humidity. Lodi weather is way too hot lol.

We had rainy weather for the last copule of days. It has also been a bit cold.
At the moment, the weather is fine. We'll see how long that will last.

I got off the plane today in Detroit and it was almost 98.

Man... I feel sorry for the eastern part of the US. As for here it's been oddly really nice around 70F here. I don't think we have any reason to complain. :scared:
