Here's the temperature gauge on my car when I got in after work. It was sitting in the shade.

It's been very cold here for the past few days. I loved it. Mid 80 degree temps, and low 60 degree nights.

But, it's going to get a lot hotter in the next couple of days.

It's raining here for pretty much the first time all summer. I feel like I'm back in Oxford.

Yesterday was so nice and cool (92) after a week long heat wave of 105+ temps and high humidity. It was a welcome break, trust me.

But now, it's 100 degrees and a fire is about to go threw us and we've been choking on the ash and smoke for over three hours, now. The filter on the AC needs to be replaced because the whole house smells like a BBQ pit.

So, 100+ degrees, no AC, house full of smoke, outside full of smoke and ash and I'm getting restless as hell.

For the past two days it's been in the 70's but tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 90's again...I hate this hot weather.

Think yourself lucky - I have literally not seen blue sky since Sunday... and this is supposed to be the height of summer

The east coast is terrible at the moment. We've had had bursts of heavy rain with long periods of very fine rain.

You're not going to believe this, but a song called "Ain't Gonna Rain Anymore" (by Nick Cave) is currently playing on my iTunes...

Right now it's very overcast, cloudy and very cool. A nice break from the heat wave. Yesterday was hot and the day before too, but weren't as hot as last week. Today, it's obviously going to be very cool and it's also quite breezy for morning.

Not exactly pool weather but it'll warm up this afternoon, for sure. I figure it's going to be 88 to 92 degrees today.

Likewise, although we did have 20 minutes of sun this morning. We've actually got our first bit of rain in 3 days at the moment. Not much more than a medium drizzle, I was just about to water the plants too!

I've been wearing jumpers in mid-summer :grumpy:

Humidity affects how hot it feels just like the wind affects how cold it feels in the winter.

It's 2:22 AM, my kids are up, there's a huge thunder and lightning storm putting on quite a show, it's raining like mad and it's 81 degrees outside.

SoCal, baby.

Lucky you. I don’t see storms in years. Here (where I live) is like, one or two storms with lightnings in one year. And I just lost one in the recent days. And the most stupid thing it’s like, the best storms usually just come up at 4/5 a.m. (when I am sleeping), and they don’t are even that big (what 2 or 3 lightning bolts?). :grumpy:

As always, it is Sun up here, it is not to hot (20ºC/73ºF) It is been this temperature almost all summer (what is uncommon (especially here)), but I kind of like it. Especially because I like the winter.

Yeah, whatever happened this morning woke me up around 5 AM. It's still 85 degrees.

Wow. Not bad. 65. Much better than the high 80s we were in yeaterday. Humidity is around 70% though.:yuck:

70% humidity during a Michigan August is very low, you'll have to get used to it being even worse if you are going to be staying here for a while.

It really doesn't feel all that bad. It really is nothing compared to some other cities, unless I'm just used to it already. Seattle weather was better.

Typically it's about 95% humidity and around 85-95 degrees during the most of August, this is sort of unseasonal for us, but I'm not complaining 78 and sunny is the best.

Yeah, we had that too. What’s particularly annoying is that the wind was going like crazy, and it was raining, so now my car has 🤬 all over it. It was a clean car twelve hours ago…

Now that it’s daytime though, there’s no indication of there being a storm last night (other than broken branches strewn everywhere). It’s dastardly sunny and 100 degrees out.

Right now, it's 102 with about 90% humidity. Fun times. The kids are getting a shorter school day today, since they canceled PE and breaks. The kids weren't allowed to go outside at all, yesterday. So, they're coming home early today and tomorrow.

The boys are going to soak themselves in the pool, before they go to soccer practice.
