Wow I would love to have a view like that, all I see when I look out my back desk is another house and a Chevy dealership.

 How I miss a good view from my home. We have the Olympics from home, but that is becoming more and more eclipsed by trees.

I believe that picture made me the most "homesick" I've really ever been.

It's snowing!!:D

We'll probably have a pretty good amount tomorrow if it keeps up at this pace.

Ugh, I hate it. It worries me with the Jetta...

As for my view? My townhouse neighborhood, the Walgreens next door, and the local High School stadium. Not nearly as "nice" as my Dad's two acres...

-8F, feels like -32F.

And dropping.

I can't imagine why the dog doesn't want to go out...

When I first came to see the apartment, the gal took me out on the deck, and she nonchalantly said, "Oh, I guess you can see Mt. Rainier from this unit." SOLD!!!

That sounds like Seattle.

It's been snowing all day, and it's perfect stuff. I think we're running about two inches by now. 100% perfect winter day!

Gah winter is back, it's snowing pretty hard now and we are supposed to have up to 3" by morning.

SWEET!!!!:D:D:D

It's been snowing pretty hard (by my standards) all day and we are probably at 4 to 5 inches! This is the stuff I came to Michigan for!

I can't wait to see what it looks like in the morning, and we are supposed to get even MORE on Thursday! It's going to be a great week!

Ugh, snow... We won't get as much as you there in Holland, but whatever we get sucks. My car hates the snow.

Funny thing: Only Michigan folks seem to bitch about the weather in here...

Don't be so pouty. It could be sunny and boring. And I would hope it's the car having cold weather problems, you've only been driving in the stuff for, what, four or five years?

Seattle folk only complain about the rain and long for snow. It makes me wish they would go away so I could enjoy my rain. Maybe Seattleites and Michiganders should switch.

That's because there is nothing better to do in Michigan than bitch about the weather :D.

 That and go "skiing" down something that would resemble the 45th ave bridge.

Probably because it is the only state where nearly the entire state gets lake-effected weather, which almost never results in ideal conditions.

The view out my window:

Not idea conditions? We're rocking about 6 to 7 inches and it hasn't stopped snowing since two nights ago. It's like a dream come true.

QFT, honestly there is nothing really else worth talking about.

Do all Michiganders have to be such party poopers?:sly:

Raining all day, heavy winds earlier which knocked one of the trees over, uprooted infact. Lots of puddle, better stop before I go to college in 2 and 3/4 hours!

Rain, rain and lots of rain... Did I mention the rain?

These photos are taken of teh bend about 50 yards from my house, luckily my house is about 3 metres above the lowest point of that bend. That water is probably about 2-3ft deep at it's worst. The car that is flooded upto the grill is a Chrysler Voyager. The man to the left in the second photo is the owner. Fool.

It was sunny, clear and warm (77) for the past several days. Right now, the Santa Ana winds are blowing like mad, and it's freezing. The wind is so damn cold, your fingers go numb within seconds if exposed.

It'll be cold for the next day or so, then back up to mid-low 70s by the weekend.

How cold are you talking? My fingers go num under 15c.

We have a "It's damn cold so don't go outside, you fool" warning for the next few days. Naturally, we all ignore it.

-12°F, feels like -26° thanks to a lovely 8mph wind. And yes, hot water does vaporize outside. See:

I'll see your -12 and raise you a -22!

I don't actually live in Gunnison but its a warm 3 degrees with the wind chill of -8 here in Denver.

Also note that it is 100% humidity in Gunnison also. How cold must that feel right now? :scared:

The temp itself isn't going to be all that bad, but it dives down quick with a stiff breeze. The next few days:

I'm pretty partial to Monday night...

Its its a rather "balmy" 35F here now... We're due for snow tonight, where Philly is, they're supposed to get hammered. As for GR, not so much...

We're getting light snow right now. It's supposed to become bone-snapping cold this weekend.

It's not bad outside here, 9C is good going for mid-Jan. We've had a very odd year of weather, very, very odd.

It was rather warm earlier today. In the last two hours it snowed a little, enough to get the ground wet and the temperature plummeted enough so that the sidewalks are covered in a nice layer of ice.

No signs of snow yet. Hopefully soon though.

Looks like there is a pretty big storm coming through. All of the state, except for the West, is getting dumped on right now.

I don't like what we have now. This is car-killing weather...

The computer says 21F and snow, but its blowing like a be-yotch, and all of the roads are a sheet of ice. I pray to the automotive Gods that my car starts tomorrow morning (too two tries this evening after work), because its only going to get colder this weekend...

THIS is the kind of weather that makes me want to leave Michigan. I can deal with snow, the wet "fun" stuff. But this icy, windy, blowy crap... The stuff we always get in January... Is the worst!

I actually kinda feel the same. The blowy stuff is a pain. That layer of ice can add some excitement, but certainly not when you are trying to get somewhere. But the wind just makes it a little too cold.

Looks like 21 degrees with 26 mph winds.
