UUUUUUUUUUUH N.E. Ohio. it is now 4 degrees here , wind chill is -16.

WANT TO TRADE WEATHER ? 💡
Yes, please.

currently -17°F with a windchill of -43.

Shooting for a high of...

hold your breath...

14? Above? Sweet.

My car thermometer said it was -1 and the radio said the windchill was -12. A lot of rural schools have been canceled today.

I usually make a point of downplaying cold temps (juvenile, I know :P) but that cold south of 40° latitude is just, well, not cool. I know what's it's like in Georgia when it get's a bit nippy and that cold just goes right through you.

Yeah, this is record cold for us. I can remember when I was a kid a few days being this cold in February, but never January. And even in harsh winters it is uncommon for below zero temps without a windchill. Single digit with a negative wind chill is a harsh winter.

Fortunately though, we have managed to miss nearly all the precipitation that goes with this.

0 degrees this morning with -25 wind chills. The good news it that a heat wave is coming again and we will be right back up around 20 degrees. Finally get the shorts out again. I hate this time of the year. Cold and depressing. Luckily Heather and I are both gamers so we can get caught up on gaming. I simply do not go outside if I dont have to this time of the year. Not even to plow.

Pretty close to the coldest weather I've ever been in. I'm sure Florida was this cold at least once in the past 20 years.

Hooray for strange north Alabama weather.

By the way, does anybody else think it's really weird that the sky is of all colors blue when the clouds go away? I saw some blue today and all I could come up with was that it was just. Oh, and the sun is really bright. Watch out for that one.

Days like today, where its bitterly cold and the sky is without clouds... I think its beautiful. Problem is, I usually prefer it when the temps are around say 30-ish... Not the kind of stuff that gives you a soundtrack everywhere you walk outside.

Noooooooo , I want to trade up in degrees , not down .

It's been hovering around 5 degrees here the last 3 days with negative wind chills, and around 0 at night. Thank goodness I didn't use thick oil like last year!

Holy crap it's actually 11° at almost 11pm.

NOWAI!

It was..the same temperature here, 600 miles south of you.

We had snow until about 10AM. I was kinda hoping I would have to shovel my car out. :odd: Too bad I didn't have to do that, we only got two or three inches.

I'm at the central coast at the moment and it's mid 30C's :D Perfect holiday weather. 👍

81 out, bright blue skies with a few white fluffy clouds, and a gentle breeze. Spent the day swimming with a bunch of party guests. Couldn't ask for a more perfect day, short of it raing 100 dollar bills.

The weird thing out here, at least earlier tonight, was that despite it being bitterly cold, there was a fog rolling in near my home. I don't know what the deal was, but it was kinda creepy being at the ATM (outside of my car) for those few minutes. Nevertheless, it looks like we'll be hovering above 20F for the next few days, and that is a wonderful change from the single digits (or less) that we've been having.

...Now we just have to get rid of the ice on the roads...

Did you guys get any of the snow we got earlier? We got about 6 inches in a few hours or so. You could barely even see across the street for a while there.

TB
Maybe so, but 24 hours before that it wasn't 50 degrees colder, was it? :sly:

No, it's never been 50 degrees colder than that. (C) The coldest it gets here even in winter is about 20 below that. :P

It completely missed Kent County and Grand Rapids in general, it looks like Holland and Kalamazoo got screwed. Not that I'm all that sad, I walked out to my car this morning and it was completely clear from me cleaning it off last night.
