For those of you who have never even seen snow, this may be somewhat interesting.

Or not.

I just finished snowblowing my driveway and sidewalk. There was an average of around 14" of snow (some of the drifts are almost 4 feet deep) which comes out to 2400 cubic feet, or 7-8 tons (depending on water content - this stuff is pretty light).

Yes, the snow is up to the door handle.

When we put up the Let it snow stickers, I didn't actually mean it...

On a slightly different note it was 55 degrees and sunny here in Seattle. Crystal clear air was pretty awesome.

We also have an air stagnation advisory up. So I guess that means I'll be suffocating on my car's exhaust fumes for the next three days.

Even with all the snow we have, we can't make a snowman because it's too powdery and won't stick together. My kids are not amused.

Were slated for snow around midnight. Not sure if it's worth anything.. I doubt it. We were to get a good 8" or so over the week and that balked to rain, so I'm skeptical.

Where-abouts are you in Scotland mate? Where I am its pretty nasty. I'm pretty gone with the snow now. It was good at first but now that the tennis courts have like 5 inches of icy, snowy stuff on them, its not fun.

I'm in Dundee. Yeah i'm done with the snow too, however just had a another shower about an hour ago and the radio said expect more and minus five again, should be fun in the morning. I can't remember a morning in the last two weeks where the temperature has been over minus three

Edit: just looked out the window, couple of inches have fell, hope that's all by morning.

40 degrees here too, Celcius. You can't even see through the back window on my car. There's no point washing it in summer because i live on a farm on a dirt road and beause of water restrictions.

It's 10 here, which is cold, like really cold. I think this might be the coldest day/night of the winter so far. It's supposed to be 30 tomorrow though so I think I'm going to go hit the slopes and attempt to figure out skiing again.

Haha! Here we have broken the 0 degrees mark (barely) a couple of times in the last week or so...
Since it first snowed, two weeks ago maybe, its just not gone away cause it keeps freezing again and again and again. Forecast says we have it for another week at least 👎
Must be all this global warming huh...?

They have skiing in the southeast? I really need to go ski in Michigan sometime. Something needs to prove to me that there is actually a hill there worthy of a ski slope.

Eh sort of, I suppose you could call it a ski hill. Really all it is, is a bunch of dirt from I-75 and a garbage dump. It's not that exciting. If you've done any skiing at a proper mountain I'd pass on Pine Knob. If you head up north though there is Boyne Mountain, Crystal Mountain, among others which are pretty good and are actually mountains.

Snow and Ice is thawing here in Falkirk but the temperatures are due to drop again in the next week to -6'C at the very worst.
My Dad got caught in a little accident this morning because of the ice, slid at a roundabout and got plowed into by some turd in a BMW.

An Update: The Zafira now has a dent, nothing compared to what the Micra which slid into me had, but still something. I wonder what the courtesy car will be ...
Second Car Accident this week in my family.

Eh sort of, I suppose you could call it a ski hill. Really all it is, is a bunch of dirt from I-75 and a garbage dump. It's not that exciting. If you've done any skiing at a proper mountain I'd pass on Pine Knob. If you head up north though there is Boyne Mountain, Crystal Mountain, among others which are pretty good and are actually mountains.

I've heard of Chrystal. Probably less inspiring than the Chrystal that is at the base of Mt. Rainier. Also, doesn't Michigan technically not have any mountains?

38C right now, expected to go up to 42 (108F) but it might be more. Cool change due to come in tonight, dropping temperatures back into the low 20's for new year's celebrations. 33C tomorrow.

To add to this there's a power problem in my town and the air conditioners aren't running properly. (there's only about 500 people in the town) They say if it's not fixed soon the power might go out altogether.

Well we have Mount Arvon which tops out at 1,979ft in the Huron Mountains. There are a couple of ranges in the Upper Peninsula but nothing like out west.
