fronts deflated to 25 rear up to 40 and bought a few quarts of power steering fluid for all that lock to lock, you can guess what i'm preparing for... :)

Am i the only one in the southern hemisphere, where it's above 0 degrees? :odd:

36 and dry, 41C for the next 3 days.

snow still hear in the uk and even more schools are closed today. I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh at the people who sit there giving it death and just spinning the wheels either resulting in the car spinning 180-360, staying stationary just spinning the wheel or (in the case of fwd) torque steering onto the wrong side of the road. <- We had a prime case of this where someone attempted to get up a bank, made it to the top almost and then just went for it and almost ended up driving into the side of our house and having to start the whole process once more.

I think my college is closed so I'm avoiding it, no official word yet though. I'm only in for a few hours usually today so I'm not missing anything.

We had 5 inches of snow here, not a lot compared to what many are used to on here, but its the most snow I've ever seen locally.

So, on Monday they were saying that we would get snow starting tonight and into Thursday and Friday.

Then they said accumulations would be 1-3 inches.
Yesterday afternoon they said it would be 3-5 inches.
Now they are predicting 3-8 inches.

This should make for a fun and interesting morning.

You know you're in trouble when NoDak has less incoming snow than Kentucky.

You know you're in trouble when NoDak has less incoming snow than Kentucky.
Especially when the 1-3 inches already had some of my employees giving me advance notice that they may not be in.

It is seldom that anyone actually fails to come in though, as I live 40 miles from work, so most of them know that if they call in and I answer I am not sympathetic. The only person I am sympathetic to is the lady that broke her leg on ice last year (not at work), after already having ankle and hip problems in that leg, and now has a fairly rational fear of getting out in winter weather.

Looking at 3-5" tomorrow and tomorrow night, maybe I should be sick on Friday so I can go skiing.

Something like 1" of snow equals 10" of snow, so if Australia's climate was different you guys would get some snow.

Still freezing here, make it stop. There is a possibility of snow flurries on Friday? I'd love to be back at 98% humidity and 95+ Degrees right now. Everything is turning from green to dead and tan outside, it sucks...

Apparently it's 45 degrees here, which is believable. And we have a break in the rain so I'm detailing the car now. Hopefully there will be plenty of snow in Holland when I get back on Monday. Although I heard that it's been snowing everywhere around Holland but not in Holland. :odd:

Isn't that normal? Even when we don't have a super dry summer everything under a foot and a half tall is dead here. And then it all pops back up in winter when the rain comes.

Most the USA is freezing, yet here SoCal I'm in short pants and short sleeve shirt. It was around 74 today, and a bit hotter the next few days. Bright blue skies, too.

Been having a few dark clouds in the sky for the past few days. Still very hot and humid though.

Well it looks like the rain is going to hold off for most of tomorrow so I'll have a while to be the only shiny car on the roads.

Yeah, it is, but it's always depressing for some reason, everything just looks so, dead?

Yeah it kind of is. Of course you don't have to worry about snow pack running out and fires quite like we do out here in the summer I'm guessing...

Same attire, except thirty degrees cooler...

2nd day off school is a win, but there are clear skies now so it'll probably be the last. :(

Yep, the Met Office are saying that the cold spell might last another 10-14 days :nervous: Still, it has been beautifully clear here for the last few days, and we're not seeing any more snow in Glasgow anyway.

I slept in fleece pants and a hoodie. It's freakin cold out here. Like 40 degrees.

40's cold? Wow, it's 28 here and it's not that bad. I'm wearing just a hooded sweatshirt.

It's supposed to be like that all day. Yippee.

OK, now that the snow is hitting they are saying 2-4 inches, but we are on the boundary of the 4-6 inches line if the weather system chooses to move south a bit.

But here is what it looked like on my way in to work:

Interstate:

These have been treated, traffic flowing at 55-65 mph

Main road I turn on to just off of a main highway:

Treated once but slowly deteriorating.

Side connector road:
att11398.jpg

Untreated, but well traveled.

Suburban/office park access road that my office is on:

Untreated, with only tire tracks to drive through.

10-14 days? Bloomin' heck. I could miss a lot of college!

It's been 7F with a -15 windchill since I got up. The worst part is I have to go outside, I'm trying to prolong that as long as I can.:nervous:
