I live in North Dakota and 25C/77F is below our summer average.

Love to see you here this winter, though. ;)

Somewhere around 60 and cloudy. It's been there since I got home. This weather is freaking sweet. I can go outside and do stuff in shorts and a t-shirt without freezing or overheating.

Typical weather person noncommittalness:

As I understand it (this may be completely wrong), the percentages are actually in terms of land area. E.g., say you’re looking up a certain zip code, and the weatherpeeps predict that ~40% of that zip code area will experience rain for that hour – that’s what the 40% refers to. So it’s actually pretty accurate when you think about it, since only in completely dry or completely stormy conditions will you get a binary 0/100% land area coverage.

I would buy into its accuracy if they ever said what percentage did get rain at the end of the day.

As for us: It is hot. It has been hot all through June and it will be hot for at least the next week. June, while not breaking any individual day records was the hottest overall June on record. Today is supposed to be the hottest day of the year at 96, tomorrow possibly hitting 97, and the heat indexes well into the 105 degree range most days.

Oh, and the air quality sucks. I could actually feel my sinuses, eyes and throat start reacting when I walked outside this morning.

So far it's 92F and it's predicted to go up to 96-97 today. It will stay in the 90's until Saturday where we will have a high of 79F. I can't wait for that day since I'm pretty sensitive to the heat.

It's supposed to get up to 96 on Thursday. So it looks like Juneuary is ending and the way too hot summer weather is here.

This photo shows some of what's been happening along the Rio Grande River over the past few days (near where I live):
flood07082010.jpg
The U.S. is on the left side of this photo and Mexico is on the right side. The water level as measured on July 8, 2010 was 42.31 Feet at the near bridge in this photo, and flood stage, I believe, is +/-8 Feet. Many homes in low lying areas have been flooded, and although many families have been evacuated, there are currently no reports of loss of life.

It's really nice here in Colorado! It's in the mid 60's right now. But I have to leave tomorrow to go back to Houston. :(

lol Same here. Never seen snow. Ever.:guilty:

I've always wanted to though!
Feel free to head up this winter, too. I've always got snow that needs shoveling.

Although right now the snow will have to wait - it's currently 83F at almost 10pm with rain on the way and almost 90 again tomorrow.

Hot and humid, just like I hate it.

Same thing here, although it's only supposed to get to 85 tomorrow. It's days like this that I can't wait to move to Colorado.

Perfect weather here. Low 80's. It hasn't been this cool in a long, long, long, long time! So much for global warming?

Got cloudy tonight, but it was sunny enough for me to go out burning ants with my magnifying glass. About 80, I think.

The AC, however, has not kicked off, and it's hovering at a little above 60 in my room. Yeah.

Today was around 80 degrees and sunny. Tonight's been beautiful though, mid-70s with slight breezes 👍.

91 degrees F in my apartment. According my external temp meter temp peaked at 109F..

Very hot here.

103º with very high humidity, which means it's about 115º-117º with the humidex. It will not cool down until after the weekend.

11.3C/53F here Wind making it feel like 7C/45F a cold front is almost here. (Tonight 4C/39F)
The next 7 days below:
Highest max 14C/57F
Lowest max 12C/54F
Highest min: 5C/41F
Lowest Min: 2C/36F

cant wait till' August when we (usually) get above 20C/68F for the 1st time since Late May. last september we only had 1 day above 25C/77F and on that day it was 30.9C/88F just 12 days after winter ended.

I don't know if this part makes sense, but... does earthquakes cause weather changes. But, did anyone here about the earthquake in the Maryland area? I was shocked when a friend in Maryland told me about this. I left to go on vacation the day before the earthquake. It was recorded the largest earthquake in the Maryland area. This was a mind blower for me. But it was not strong enough to cause damage. Hope my goldfish is alright.

Had a pretty bad storm go by, tornadoes were reported about 1.5 miles from me(not confirmed though, may have just been funnel clouds). I was at work and we all had to go back into the produce cooler, luckily there was only a family in the store at the time(think they may have just came in to get shelter, but am not sure) so it wasn't crowded. We were in there for about 20 minutes before we were allowed to go back to work. I do wish I had a camera on me though as the sunset looked amazing shining through the clouds after the worst stuff passed us. There was also baseball sized hail but that was elsewhere in the state. Thankfully there have been no reports of injuries, just some trees down and other wind damage.👍

Currently 84F with 20 mph winds but rain's a comin'.

Or it could track north just enough to miss us.

This is the coldest July I've ever lived through. It's great! The heat wave last week was bad, but not as bad as we had it the last 5-6 years.

It got up to 85 today, with a nice cool breeze the entire day. Should be 12°-15° hotter than that, but I ain't gonna complain.

Isn't the "cold wave" great? I was in SoCal about a month ago, and it was surprisingly cool and pleasant. That same time last year, I remember watching local weather report on TV at the hotel, and the weather person said that it was "going to be cool since it will only get up to 95 degrees" and that it should be 10 to 15 degrees hotter

It's 11 pm, but not really cooling down here. I finally had to get my portable AC today, hook the thing up.

Google weather says it's 88 degrees right now. At 11. Really weird, but it sure feels like it, I'm using that AC right now.

It's just before 2am, raining like a mother, lightning, thunder, straight line wind at around 40-50mph and confirmed tornadoes 5 miles away from my house.

Sleep isn't looking very likely tonight.
