Things you would like to see in GT5 other than cars?

Customization, I'm not sure if this has been confirmed I heard somewhere on these forums that it has but anyway, customization I would like to see to allow us to buy street cars and turn them into race cars.

I would like to see the ability to buy splitters, diffusers, spoilers, race bumpers for aerodynamics, visual roll cages (if you buy one, you can actually see it in the car), ect.

I think there's one fantastic feature nobody is talking about and i think was in GT4 or was it even GT3? Please let the odometer be included again for each car. i love it when you are driving that you can see how much kilometers/miles you have actually driven with that particular car. it can't be that hard for the GT-team to implement this in the dashboard view? its nice to be able to see it in the stats view, but its so much more realistic when the odometer really works when you r driving...

Damage is defiantly a must and it would be cool have dynamic weather and changes from day to night on enduro's. But what I would also like to see is a visual car customization. I mean yeah it seems very need for speed but it'd still be cool to sit down with my Ford GT and make it look like a v8 Supercar seems that they're not going to be included.

I would like to see better tuning options and a better tuning scale. Ex. They have aftermarket vendors but everything is labeled by stage and not exactly what it is.(example HKS:Stage 3 turbo? what is it classifying a T67, T71 gt35r or what....)even all the way down to the bore of the engine. The tuning scale is not bad but can be better especially if there was a computer that u could adjust air/fuel mixtures like in NFSU2 but more detailed. Should be able to adjust boost levels from 1psi to all out drag 80psi. Everything should be more detailed like that so we know exactly whats going into the cars. And another thing i dnt really like is that all cars are limited to a certain amount of horsepower modded all the way. I've seen evos push 7 to 800 horses, 500 is becoming just a little to common now...Thats what i would like to see. It would change everything.

I have often talked about having the ability to choose and modify the A.I. opponets in say Arcade races. When reading my many offline notes regarding this topic I found the following thought that I figured would be worth sharing. My ultimate goal would be basically for the user to be able to predefine a race or race series. Meaning you pick the track or tracks, A.I. cars and varius other settings. Than you can save these settings as a unique race or race series that could be used over and over again or copied and modified. With using this as a building block, it could also be used to build the foundation of online races or race events. Perhaps you want to estabilsh a very defined online race or race series. The race organizer could predefine the exact specifications down to the exact details of every car that is entered in the race. Meaning that if some one wanted to they could pre-define 16 cars for the race or race series. Than as players enter the race they could pick one of the pre-defined cars to drive in the race. This would just be one of the options. Most quick races would still be very simple meaning a player picks a track, number of laps, and maybe performance point setting. However for structured races or race series a person could define the race requirements and even share the race or race series that they created with others. Imagine going online to download predefined races or race series for offline or online use. Functions like this would easily allow the GT5 series to remain stong well into 2015 etc. if need be.

another tiny idea but quiet funny I guess:
When driving the 24h on the RING...(Nürburgring or course) and your car goes out of fuel you should be able to leave the track, run through the forest to the next fuel station and get a few litres there...This once really happended...but read yourself:

"The odyssee of Mola Adebisi
The 24 hours went even more unlucky for the E36. At first there was a problem on the servopump which threw the team back from position five in the class to eight. But this was only the beginning of an unique odyssee. In the area Adenauer Forst Mola Adebisi’s car went out of fuel. So he had to go to a petrol station to buy a canister with fuel. Unfortunately the 35-year-old didn’t have any money in his pocket - so he gave his mobile phone as deposit an promised to come back wit 15 Live-Strip T-Shirts. Then he was back on track. But the fuel wasn’t enough to complete the entire lap which meant another loss of time for him. Last but not least he had a crash which caused a repair. Despite this, it was enough for the seventh class-rank and rank 111 overall.

After the 30th place overall and the second place in the class in 2006 this was not the result the team was hoping for, but nevertheless it is a success that both cars finished after such a difficult race." SO COOL!!!

Or when a not so special part is broken some fans beside the track should be able to help you fixing it..this really happened from time to time...like taking a new gear box from a fans car to built it into the race car...but I guess this was years ago because nowadays the cars are too special built up...

mapping g25 buttons, custom car livery and aerodynamics, create a championship were i can take 16 of my created cars or selected cars and set up a custom championship including tracks/laps/mandatory pit stops. i would be set if this were in the game. i could care less about damage or rolling the car.

I'd like to see people at tracks in GT5, they were just like pictures drawn on papers in GT3 and 4.
Also it would be nice if the conditions at tracks in the game were like the conditions at real circuits, as hellfire said 👍

Way off the topic gt5+ should have you might think it's weird but females in the crowd in gt4 it was all white men no real variety it adds to the environment. Flames out the back I don't know why gt5 prologue doesn't, classic real world tracks like Indy gold coast and the famous British one I forget the name jay leno and other dudes drive there with all mad cars. Gt is the most amazing driving game it is coming to perfection. The fact of choosing cars in the dealer menu is nice but it takes time to move from one to the next and your garage should have you able to switch quickly between. The gt5 prolouge camera veiws are crap I mean front :) incar :) chase :) top/roof :( there should be a bonnet and back to the gt4 roof or window edge. The last is the sound of the cars the legacey sounds of the past are getting boring I want chunk and funk a gtr skyline sound fantastic in real life but the gt sound has legacey not reality. Thank for your eyes.

I agree with syphalliscipudakisLT. Anyone want a RB26DETT-powered G-series Skyline? Or even a RB26DETT in a KPGC10 or KPGC110?

Engine swaps would be the only thing from, ahem, Forz...a i'd like to see in GT.
It would be a cool addition and create some unique possibilities to customize and totally change the characteristics of your car.

M5 V10 powered 1-series or a Honda Beat with S2000 engine or....the list goes on and on and...........

Also front end conversion ( like making sileighty out of 180sx , or onevia out of silvia (S13)) would be cool , well , for me at least... Although it is purely aesthetic , it would be great addition for all those JDM culture fans like me...

The Sileighty was already included in GT4 as a seperate car, and i think there are not enough cars which share so much common components like the ones you mentioned to justify such a feature, there may be some but it would be easier perhaps to just include a Sileighty and Onevia if they wanted.

Yeah... You're right... Still , it would be cool to make Stagea GTR with R34 Skyline front and RB26DETT... :)

Yes, i didn't mean it wouldn't be a nice feature ( the more customisation the better in my view ) but it is quite specific and would only apply to a very small number of cars.

And yes a Stagea GTR would be cool, the station wagon from hell...;)

How about converting 4WD cars into RWD ? I especially like the way Team Orange turned Impreza WRX STI from rally to drift car... :D

Yes, that would be nice like Lamborghini did IRL with the Gallardo Balboni but maybe it would be easier to be able to change the amount of power which is sent to both front and rear on every 4WD car unlike now where it's only a couple of cars that have this option.

Previous GT Tech demos combining both PS3 and PSP have shown that it can be used for added functionality such as Rear view Mirrors.

My idea is for Polyphony to take the PSP and using necessary software and connectivity to PS3 and turn it into a MOTEC device for telemetry recording and do in car tuning.

I would like to level up and fight off other racers in turn based battles with Summons of great drivers from the past. Then when you pick a car from your garage you have to actually walk into a garage in First Person and grab a crow bar and knock head-crab's out of the way until you get to your car where you will have to line up colored blocks in perfect order to be able to even open it.

Here are some ideas for [any possible] PSN DLC's for GT5:

*Purchase Cars (Cars not available in disc because they're too new or were not included like Dodge Copperhead Concept Car or HKS R33 GTR Drag)

*Purchase Tracks/Circuits/Race Locations (Ise Bayshore Expressway or Bayshore Route for Wangan Style Racing, and fictional mountain-side roads for downhill touge racing/drifting)

*Purchase Credits to buy cars and stuff in GT Mode.

*Download new races/events (to continue playing after finishing 100% of the game).
