Electric cars have really missed the period of style that this car represents, having been around in the early 20th century and rather niche for the rest of it. Now that we're trying to make a future away from the ICE car, we should free ourselves of the design limitations that the engine forced on manufacturers.

That's the thing, it's difficult. People expect those limitations in cars, it just looks right to people.

EVs that abandoned previous necessities thanks to the lack of those constraints have been wildly unsuccessful from a commercial perspective. It would be nice, I agree, but at the same time, I don't want something that flaunts its uniqueness (well, what used to be unique but has since become the it thing).

I approach this car armed with my grain of salt, though. I have the nagging suspicion that it's little more than a shiny curbside model with its own spray bottle of instant car polish to wipe away the smudges from being pushed while one lucky (I guess) individual cranks the tiller to point it where it needs to go. 1341hp? Yeah... And even if it can back that claim, you'll be want for a really long extension cord to make it to the corner store.
