Hello, what are some of your favorite touring cars in GT5 to drive? Also, do you think there are any touring cars they should add?

I quite like this one:

The BMW M3 GTR '01 is far and away my favorite. Even after tuning it up to higher speeds it still drives with precision.

Hands down for me I the Alfa Romeo 155. It's not the fastest but it's fast and beautiful handler. I watched them beat up on the competition when BTCC was still around in the 90's. The M3 is sweet too though. Also like the Calibra since GT1.

Are you serious? BTCC is on every week at the moment on ITV4. I watch it from 1100 -1800 every Sunday.

My favourite has to be the Vauxhall Astra. Wish they had the old 888 model though in the red. The yellow has to do though. Only reason is nostalgia. They won it for like 4 years on the trot when I was a kid and first got into it.

Alfa Romeo 155 - This is actually one of my favorite cars in the game.

If this car was premium, I'd probably drive it more than any other car. Hopefully the standard cockpit thing works good because I will be driving all of these cars alot more. :)

I like the Merc 190e touring car. Sounds horrible but it's fast and nice looking.

I like them all but my favorite is the worst looking one in the bunch. The CLK is just such a sweet car around the ring. I love it but the car looks like it is still in GT4.

a premium bmw 330i and i would be happy lol - i have the standard painted orange and big wing.. closest thing to BTCC 2009 champs team RAC and colin Turkington :)

I would love to see some current btcc cars , civic, vectra, NGTC Audi from Rob austin racing :0

(downloadable packs will be just in time for finals day and silverstone ,wink wink Kaz )

Holy crap that looks bad. :D

I don't have a favourite car per se, but I do like taking out the '02 NSX Type R. Not sure what it is about that car, but it just fits me like a glove.

That's not a touring car...

For me, I can't go past the 2000 xr8

The 155 in BTCC was the 2.0 Front wheel drive, 4 cylinder.
The one in Gt is 2.5 v6 turbo 4WD from DTM.
I wish the 155 was premium I drive the front wheel drive V6 IRL .
And your right it is under powered to the other DTM cars in Gt. From memory less than 500pp fully tuned.
Also in Gt1 or Gt2 you could buy a Alfa 155 2.0 twinspark from the dealership and then RM it.

I like the Mazda Atenza, it makes me think of the defunct Super Touring class and the golden days of touring car racing.

I cannot understand why there aren't new games featuring Super Touring cars

[Crocodile Dundee] Thats not a touring car (points to NSX)(turns and points to XR8 2000) Now thats a touring car [/Crocodile Dundee]

I would have to agree with you, 2000 XR8 all the way. If only we had last seasons cars....

The alfa 155 is one of my favorites cars of all time (the dtm version) even though i find it understeers a bit too much in comparison with other dtm cars i still love it tho and prefer it over the others because its such an angry looking car with great engine sound.
Back on ot they should definally make some touring cars premium or at least include new 2011 dtm models or even some classics like the renault laguna, nissan primera, honda civic etc from the old skool btcc, not very likely to happen tho i cant imagine btcc being big out there in japan.

I know but it's similar livery to the BTCC car. I'm going off of memory of I believe 1994 BTCC championship where the Alfa won? Im too lazy to google.

I loved the RM from the earlier GT's. The 155 has been a fav of mine for a long time. Got pics of your RL 155? :)

The 155 has ~560PP fully tuned. It wouldnt even be able to keep up with the other DTM-cars with less than 500PP...

Anyway, my favourite racing car in the game. Best looks, best handling and awesome sound. 👍

Get the old RS500's and RS Capri's in to GT5, throw in the Volvo T5 and a BTCC seasonal and they can do what they like with spec 2 :)

I watch it too, ITV4's coverage is very good with the support races as well. The only problem is I usually have to record it and catch up during the week (sometimes it does take all week too to get the full seven hours done).

The current BTCC cars don't excite me as much as the super-touring cars did, so for this thread I am going to go for the 1995/96 blue and yellow Williams Renault Laguna (Will Hoy & Alain Menu) from the BTCC, the car with the F1 link which made me aware that racing didn't have to be restricted to watching the grand prix on a Sunday afternoon once a fortnight.

This 👍

Maybe add the Frank Biela Audi A4 and Menu's Renault Laguna too :)

Ooooo. RS500 niiice. Monsters from back in the day. Id like to see the Ford Mondeo, BMW, Volvo, Primera, Renault from the 90's era along with the Alfa.

I've been looking for Simioni and Tarquini or Larini in bspec drivers names since I got GT5 but no dice so far.

I'd like the Mondeo in too, I've got an ST24 at the moment, closet i'll get to an old touring car :guilty:

Lexus ISF Concept. Yeah its not a touring car though you can use it in the appropriate races in A and B spec ant the touring car seasonal. It just drives so nicely and also has the added bonus of being premium..

It's more of a touring car than that Audi R8 LMS thing so it counts i think, plus i like driving it too 👍

The BMW 328i touring car's my pick, slow, but it handles very nicely and sounds pretty decent. I don't often see it get used so there is a nice bonus for being unique.
