And the goverment is run by alien lizards who want to eliminate the human race.
That wouldn't actually surprise me with the majority of bast.....politicians.
Then why are some (like me) not experiencing any problems?
This could be similar to the Toscana time change glitch in GT5 where decreasing exposure (in-game adjustment) would give counter intuitive results.
Give it a try before you so loudly condemn it.
Set quality to normal and exposure to 0 and make adjustments both ways.
I'm trying to help you here...
Have you posted anything positive about GT6 since launch? every single post i see from you is basically hating on GT6, maybe the game is not for you if you hate it so much?Since the 1.02 update my cockpit view is terrible its so dark I can't even see the clocks , everything just looks black , anyone else getting this ?
You guys want to discuss a trade for what we have here? I'm open to all offers up to and including paying you for the trade
But back to the topic at hand...

previous to the 1.02 update.
Those are the settings I use all the time - and I'd bet that's true for most of us "whiners."
I have no idea why you aren't experiencing the problem. How many different cars have you driven. Do you use cockpit cam only? Under what time of day settings? I don't know. All I know is I've noticed the issue as have quite a few others.
Adjusting the exposure enough to remedy the situation in the cockpit would make things look crummy in every other area of the game.
Not everyone seems to know that you can adjust the exposure in the quick menu when you pause, under the EV section, brightness can be adjusted!! 💡
I'm already at +5 since day one, I drive only on cockpit view and it was too dark at 0![]()
Any proof of this? There is a separate setting in the main menu options for exposure (brightness?). I assume that's what you mean by "other areas of the game."
I use cockpit view only.
There is quite a big difference from track to track but nothing problematic.
I also think "smart" enhancement technology such as black corrector, contrast enhancer, auto light limiter etc etc are "fighting" the signals, so I turn them off and adjust the base settings accordingly.
PS: gamma +1 or +2 is your friend![]()
Ok, i just did an update and tried the same car on the same track (Free Run -> Honda Fit at Motegi) and as far as I can tell, there are no differences between 1.01 and 1.02. In other words, latest 1.02 patch did not fix the onboard shadow problem.
Please note that this problem is only with select cars and on certain tracks. It's not always and everywhere.
Set exposure to from 0 to +7
There was quite a big difference in GT5 as well. Some tracks were overexposed, some very dim.gamma +2 doesn't fix the issue. Still too dark under some circumstances in some cars.
That's just two different ways of adjusting the same setting.

And the effects are the same.No it isn't. The values are different.
And the effects are the same.
OH I just though of something that may be causing your problem 💡I have GT5 and put in hundreds of hours, most of it in cockpit. Never had a problem.
Is it so hard to believe there might actually be an issue with the cockpit lighting???
The effect, concerning the topic at hand, are the same.Incorrect.
The main menu options affect the entire game, including in-race. The in-race menu only affects in-race brightness.
OH I just though of something that may be causing your problem 💡
In the PS3 XMB menu - settings - display settings, there are two settings that may be causing problems;
- RGB full range (HDMI)
- Deep colour output (HDMI)
Try changing them, one at a time, and see if that has any effect.
No problem, glad to h... Oh wait. These are not suitable solutions for a problem with ONE game. I don't want to change universal settings on myPS3 that work well for EVERYTHING ELSE and which are set to the best recommended options already in order to resolve an intermittent issue with ONE GAME.
