Every update brings with it the possibility of undocumented changes to the game. Please post any undocumented changes you find in the game and I'll update the OP regularly to reflect any changes found. Please also make a concerted effort to verify these changes and not just report unconfirmed rumours. If you need help from the community to verify something, don't be afraid to ask. Be as specific and detailed as you can with the information including a brief description of the bug or improvement before it was fixed/changed (if applicable) and how it was fixed. Poorly worded or cryptic posts will probably get passed over.

This IS NOT a discussion thread about the pros and cons of the update or anything else other than undocumented changes in the update. Confine those to the appropriate thread please.

Undocumented Changes
- You can change the color of the new gauge in game on the Quick Menu (or Start Menu) and there's 4 new options just for the color customization (Actual Color, Hue, Saturation and Brightness)
- In replays on Sierra only, the "Replay Camera" now switches briefly to "Cockpit View" and then back to the traditional trackside "Replay Camera" view.
- List Of Cars That Can Have Custom Gauges Installed
- The time rally sounds ("jump bonus", "overtake", "good job", "10, 9, 8..." etc.) are disabled if you go to the menu and select Race Info Display -> Off.
- The starting camera on tracks like Brands Hatch is now fixed. Previously its stuck on the first angle.
- The power/torque curve for the Nissan VGT has been fixed/modified...... previous to the update the torque would not reduce inline with the power when using the limiter.
- Fixed the issue where if you were leading a race online you'd only get a split time at the start finish line. You now get split times at all sectors.
- SRT Viper bug where the bottom of the car would disappear has been fixed.
- It's now possible to add number plates on the Mercedes SLS GT3.
- When driving online, your car will now ghost anytime you press the "start" button.
- The transition when installing parts is now fade black. Previously it was a jump cut.
- changes to the sunrise/sunset times on some tracks here.
- When you have aftermarket rims equipped that are already painted and you go to buy a different aftermarket rim, the wheels equipped are displayed unpainted. Seems to affect some cars and not others.
- Car sound balance may have been tweaked ....discussion ongoing.
- After exiting an online lobby, the game will autosave BEFORE connecting to the lobby interface, whereas before it would save half way through this connection procedure.
- When seeing the replay, the option "Instruments only" is now "Gauges only"
- You can adjust the values on the "RA" menu (Real-Time Adjustment) while on track in online Quick Match now but not in Open Lobby.
- Changes to the replay restart as illustrated here.
- The permanent transparent vehicle glitch was removed details here.
- The RA Menu now has intermittent online functionality.

An update for Gran Turismo 6 has been released. The following is a list of the main features introduced:

Vision Gran Turismo
The “Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo” has been released. The design concept FT-1 is honed to perfection in this rendition to enhance its features and designs required for pure racing competition.

After the update has been installed, the car can be purchased from the [Vision GT] option within the [CARS] section in "My Home". Alternatively, it is also possible to obtain the car by completing a lap (regardless of the lap time) in the new Seasonal Event, available only for a limited time.

Sierra Time Rally
The “Sierra Time Rally” has been added to the [SPECIAL EVENTS] section in "My Home". In the first original long course “Circuito de la Sierra” modelled after the Ronda region of Spain, players will attempt to complete a lap around the course within the allotted time.

The time remaining can be extended by passing through the checkpoints, overtaking other cars will raise your combo level and your score will be calculated according to the distance driven. There are many other ways to increase your score, try to find them all!

Quick Match
[Quick Match] has been added to the [ONLINE] section of "My Home". When the event is selected, players will automatically be matched to other players around the world for a quick and easy online race.

New vehicles have been introduced
The following cars have been added to the [Dealerships] option within the [CARS] section of "My Home". You can also find these cars in the [Recommended Cars] option of the same section:

- Toyota FT-1 graphite
- Nissan GT-R Nismo ’14(*)

*Players who participated in the “GT Academy 2014” Online Qualifiers will receive this car free of charge.

Additional Meters have been added
It is now possible to install "Additional Meters" from the [Custom Parts] option within the [TUNING & SERVICING] section of "My Home". You can select up to 3 instruments to add from the following: "Boost Meter", "Water Temperature Gauge", "Oil Temperature Gauge", "Rev. Counter", "Speedometer", "Oil Pressure Gauge", "Voltmeter" and "Fuel Gauge".

Steering Controller support extended
The Thrustmaster T300RS is now officially supported and fully compatible with Gran Turismo 6. It is possible to reassign the control keys from the [Steering Controller] category within the [Options] screen in the [MENU] (accessible by pressing the START button).

Force Feedback Strength can now be adjusted from the [Quick Menu]
- The [Feedback Strength] value that could previously be adjusted only from the [Steering Characteristics] category within the [Options] screen in the [MENU] can now also be adjusted from the [Driving Options] of the "Quick Menu", displayed before a race starts.
- Additionally, the strength of the force feedback previously adjustable only under [Feedback Strength] can now be adjusted independently with the [Force Feedback Max. Torque] and [Force Feedback Sensitivity] sliders: it is now possible to set the strength of the feedback during extreme cornering and the steering sensitivity when near the centred position independently.
- Force feedback can now be adjusted on 200 degree lock-to-lock type controllers such as the Driving Force™ EX.

Other
- The motor assist control for the Toyota TS030 Hybrid ’12 has been changed. Because the motor assist only works when the car is at full throttle (over 80%), the motor no longer comes into effect during partial throttle while cornering.

For more details on each of the above features, please refer to the online manual on gran-turismo.com.

Ok so judging by the fact that the update is only 500 megabytes, im going to assume that all of the other enormous updates were sneaking in bits of sierra so that this update wouldn't end up being 10 gigabytes. this also means, or at least in theory, there wont be many undocumented changes this time. Oh well!

Does this mean that oil temperature or oil pressure is going to actually matter now? Or will that be coming in a future update? Otherwise, what's the point of the meter?

KNOWN ISSUE - From the Official Gran Turismo Website
http://www.gran-turismo.com/au/news/00_8869634.html

After the installation of Update 1.12 for Gran Turismo 6, we confirmed that the game may freeze while watching the Replay in Open Lobby or Quick Match.

We are working to address this issue and in the meantime we ask that you refrain from watching replays while in Open Lobby or Quick Match until a Hotfix is released.

We deeply apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Zahara is not yet available as it's own track, it's only available under the special events tab, it may be unlocked after you finish the event, I will run through the events and let you all know what's what.

1.12 discussion thread confirms that the course is unlocked for full use after completing one of the events.

Can't wait to play on the update, shame it failed the first time at 89% after almost a hour of downloading. :guilty:

By the way, you know the 1.12 GT news before the patch is
launched? Why PD didnt include it on the log?
-The issue where the game data corrupted because of the
failed install is now fixed

Not really understanding this, in particular, the bolded part.

Force Feedback Strength can now be adjusted from the [Quick Menu] - The [Feedback Strength] value that could previously be adjusted only from the [Steering Characteristics] category within the [Options] screen in the [MENU] can now also be adjusted from the [Driving Options] of the "Quick Menu", displayed before a race starts.

What exactly does the Force Feedback Max. Torque do?

Whoa...finally it's here! Now I'm ready to go back to GT6 - Sierra track...and even gauge upgrades!
