People lets not make this into a wishlist again I think the mods are getting tired of saying so..

The difference between a wish and an allegedly “valid speculation” is a tenuous reach. For example, here’s the difference:

Wishing: I want the 2005 Toyota Corolla!!

Legitimate Speculation: I saw Kaz in Tokyo on the street and he looked at a 2005 Toyota Corolla for longer than three seconds and this car has been used by thousands of moms to drive to the game store and pick up copies of every generation of this franchise!

+1 for the corolla to be added :D

Looking at GT6 special events Goodwood and Sierra Time Rally, there are only few cars remaining
BMW 507 '57 (N100)
Lotus Europa S.2. '68 (N100)
Audi Sport Quattro Rally Car '86 (Gr.B)
Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale '11 (N600)
Lancia STRATOS '73 (N200)

Red Bull X2010 '10 (GrX)
Light Car Company Rocket '07 (GrX)
Chevrolet Corvette StingRay Racer Concept '59 (GrX)
Cizeta V16T '94 (N600)
Volkswagen Scirocco R '10 (N300)

Nissan GT-R NISMO '14 (N600)

Lotus is held back because of licensing problem, Audi has already one version so less likely, GTR Nismo is probably less likely because of newer one. X2010 is kinda random but not impossible.

I would like to see the muscle cars that Gran turismo 2 had like the 1971 Plymouth roadrunner gtx, and
some of the European 90's cars and early to mid 2000's euro hatchbacks.

These two are likely along with a few others to show up in the update since they are premium:

I’d like the mkiv VW, I had one and autocrossed it. I wonder if the tremendous understeer and wheel hop can be replicated through my wheel.

Its racing concept. Thats why it would be more likely GrX.

Thing is, The Plymouth XNR is also a concept yet its still an N class car.

Yes, but the Plymouth was designed to be a road legal sports car to compete with cars like the Corvette and Thunderbird. As @Neddo said, the Corvette Stingray Racer is a race car concept.
The stingray racer is interesting because IIRC Bill Mitchell drove it around on the street sometimes as a normal car, he even had a second seat installed for roadcar comfort and practicality. In GT6 it was available with Sports Hard tyres standard rather than the Racing Hards all the racecars came with, it also had upgradeable suspension like many roadcars and no LSD setting. I don't recall if it was classed as a normal car too like all of the roadcars in that game were.

It is worth pointing out that the current FIA exhibition season ends on March 2nd (in slightly less than 3 weeks from now). So it is entirely possible that we won't get a content update until after that date.

Well at this point I'm not sure if it's going to be N or X class. Many race cars were street legal back then. Cars like the 250 GTO are street legal but that car is labeled as Gr. X.

Phil Spector frequently drove a Shelby Daytona race car on the streets of LA. Doesn’t make it any less of a race car.

Though on the subject, IMO those old Le Mans racecars should have their own Group - as should the P1 GT-R and Zonda R.

I guess it depends on whether or not PD gives it the racecar characteristics or not like an LSD setting, a fully adjustable suspension and RH tyres from the central. But I suppose it'll be Gr.X anyways.

Your example is clear enough to see what the difference between speculation and wishing is.

Ofcourse there can be hidden wishes behind a "speculation" but as long as the word " I want, I would like or I wish" is not used those hidden wishes cannot be seen.

It’s a simple formula for making valid speculation, somehow cite a relationship to PD from prior behaviour, doesn’t matter how far you reach as long as you can make some sort of connection.

That is what I have learned from following these bloody things for the last few months waiting for Spa.

R34, NSX and Supra, all from JGTC.

Yes, I'll make a risky speculation. I think this JGTC trio will come at some point, not necessarily for the February update.

I got this conclusion based on a few things:

1 - We already got 2 generations of Super GT (you know, previously JGTC) in the game, 2008 and 2016. A pack for the late 90's or early 00's cars seems to complete that "trilogy of eras".

2 - Assuming that the R34 and the NSX never made into the premium form in the past of the series, these 2 could be a great chance for the returning standards of an update.

3 - Last but not least, these are important cars for the series. If PD is bringing back a lot of 90's JDM cars to hit the nostalgia, they should really take note of the JGTC return at some point.

IMO the only one of these we can expect is the Supra - specifically, either the Castrol Tom’s version or the ‘08 GT500 Base Model / Yellowhat version. And if we got this car, it would probably come with the Honda HSV, Nissan Z GT500, or maybe one of the few GT300 cars. Why? These are all premiums from GT6.

I highly doubt we would have both an NA1 and NA2 NSX GT500 car, because of the fact that we never had a premium JGTC NSX. I can’t imagine PD would make one from scratch.

But - for what it’s worth, the dreamer in me loves your idea of “trilogy.” Although those JGTC cars absolutely could not hang in Gr.2

Hmmmm... But we've had an update during an FIA season, so that may not be correct.

Definitely, but Gr.2 is already messed up with the 2008 Super GT cars, JGTC would just mess it up a little more. Maybe the BoP would fit right into the 2008 specs, reducing the newer ones ('16) and increasing the older ones (JGTC).

Yup, the newest ones would still be better, but it still doesn't make the 2008 cars less important, right? That's how I see it. No car needs to be "enslaved" into a category.
