How come nobody calls for the locking of threads in which I get in petty, personal arguments, but as soon as there's an actual discussion everybody's upset?

Oh, btw, My thoughts: I wouldn't have posted it if it didn't strike a nerve somewhere in me...I just had never seen most of those pics...they didn't air them on the news. I was in tears by the end of it... :(

It shows us we should remember, yeah ok, everytime i looks at a tall building i ****ing picture it being hit by an airplane.If i would have to see this every day i would run out of tears, the pic where they showed the girl flying through the air, ready to die. That was sick and wrong.


Opinions stated, we do have a right to an opinion, just because you (anyone) thinks its moranic (is that a word?) doesn't mean it is, its an opinion and thats the way he/she thinks.

BTW: i wasnt pointing fingers, dont hurt me :scared:

You think of things too much in terms of American/Brit/New Zealander/Aussie/whatever - to most people, it doesn't matter that those towers were 2800 American lives, it still affects them.

I hate it how "suddenly" after this Terrorism got so much publicity, and the Taliban were finally outlawed...it should've been done a long time ago, but it's a shame that so many innocent lives had to be lost before something changed...Anyway, I better not say much else otherwise I'll probably get flamed or something.

Why dont you take a look at whats going on at the Middle East, or have some time to check out what terrorism has caused in Southamerica, Europe.

My country was in terrorism in the 90s. Lots of people died. Yet we still fought it and continued to look forward. Now just because this country gets the first act of terrorism, the president makes an international call to fight terrorism... Late call....idiot.

You've failed to explain why you think it was a Late call, or why you think he was an idiot. Justifying one with the other doesn't work. You can't call him an Idiot because he made a late call without explain why you think he made a late call.

Let's go with this:


I've been watching the acts of terrorism happen since I was old enough to sit in front of the Evening News. That'd be over 25 years now. What has this taught me? It has taught me that many places around the world are under attack by terrorists.

The United States Government has let other countries handle their own problems up until now. It looks like your country of origin has either done its job and moved on, or can't do it's job and needs to be rescued. Look back through history and what countries come up with the forces to do that rescuing? France Germany, Israel, Iraq, Saudi Arabia? Nope. The majority of the rescue force comes from the US, England, and Australia.

Why do you consider the US led War on Terrorism to be a late call? Because we didn't get involved until it happened on our soil? Why should we risk our boys and girls lives to rescue a country? Why is it that the US walks a double edged sword? Afghanistan harbored terrorists and the same with Iraq. We took it to task, are solving that problem and it gets us ridiculed by the world.

Yet Liberia has been infighting for years and we haven't lifted a finger. In no way does it involve the US, but we still get ridiculed for not assisting. When are other nations of the world going to be put to task to help out?

Back up your opinion with a real thought or fact, and I'll respect that. Post a conjecture filled half assed comment and prepare to get smacked. Should you not respond to my comments, you can simply be regarded as one step up from an internet troll.

I'll note that I have seen what terrorism from drug lords and rebels is like. I saw it in central america, oddly enough, while wearing a US Army uniform. So take your "You've never seen it so ...Pffft" and come back to me with a better argument.

I'm not looking for a flame war, I'm looking for a cognicent thought process to why you posted your "Late Call" and "Idiot" note.

Just as I thought. Things were taught to you by the American side.

The "Late call idiot" was directed to president Bush. The world has been at war with terrorism from long time ago, but now that an act of terrorism happened to this country, the president has a sudden need to "world, lets unite and destroy terrorism".

And dont say that just USA, England and Australia have always been fighting terrorism. You make it sound like the other anti-terrorism squad are useless. And you are dead wrong. Your almost sound like an ignorant. For instance, this country knows nothing about world terrorism.

Also, you are forgetting about worldwide known anti-terrorism squads, Sayeret-Mat-Kal from Israel, GIS from Italy, GSG-9 from Germany, UEI from Spain. Groups that are constantly fighting on those countries. They dont get well-planned acts like what happened to this country, but they get bombs, car bombs, suicides, shootings, something that the police of this country is not even trained to do.

Why, this country doesnt get involved with Liberia, because there is nothing there that the US is interested for. Or what do you think, that this country just helps?, Thats why I believe the US fought with Iraq, for just stupid revenge against people that had nothing to do with 9/11, and to get the oil that Hussein was convincing the other Eastern countries not to give.
 
Oh, like we really had pressing interests in Somalia and Uganda. Please. What about Croatia? Yugoslavia? Nothing that went on in any of those countries would have affected the US domestically.

Yet there we were, trying to keep the peace and prevent attacks against civillians, AKA terrorism.
