How about a '02 Mosler Photon 900S?
mt900s-6.jpg
mt900s-7.jpg
mt900s-8.jpg

0-60: 3.1 seconds
1/4 Mile: 11.02 @ 126.88mph
Top Speed: 165mph
Slalom Speed: 74.7
Skidpat: 1.02g

It uses a stock LS6 V8(435hp), so engine modifications wouldn't be entirely out of the question...

I want that.

I don't understand well you who complain all the time like this: C6 is not in game, muscle cars don't sound well, why there isn't that and that muscle car etc.

Try to understand that makers are JAPANESE or from ASIA mostly. There is many European car that aren't in game. Ferrari, Maserati, Saab, Skoda, Finnish Raceabout (Not actually car maker) etc. etc. You can't get everything!!! Except the game as it is.

And what I want to say about musclecar sounds they are just like as I thougth, they sound American to me. In Finland there is not many muscle cars driving around streets (winter and snow + high taxes). I don't hear everyday those sound. When I compare the game sounds to sound I have heard from movies there is not much difference.

And what about those little mistakes, exhaust is not like it should be etc. Have you noticed that for example American Dodge Viper has side exhaust, European model back? Who cares about those little details, it's just game, drive and enjoy.

Exactly, when you start blurring the lines like that, you can build ANY car to outrun a Z06 under $100,000. The bottom line is that I said stock street cars under $100,000 and no matter how anyone tries to twist it, the Viper is the ONLY car that comes close to the Z06. Its one impressive machine, even more so for the money.

I have to point out that I'm pretty sure that TVR might have something to say about this... Their cars range from £40K - £70K and pretty much all of them (with the exception of the Tamora) could probably outrun a Corvette... Especially the Cerbera.

Most of them have similar if not greater power yet they all weigh about 800-1000KG. (Much lighter than a Corvette)

Not trying to play the devil's advocate here, but TVR isn't available stateside.:(

Like I said, the Vette sells for $45,000 at most. You can pick up a used 2004 Z06 for as little as $26,000. What you buy is nearly unmatched performance - because in America there is no TVR. And just about every "street-friendly" Ferrari and Porsche for under $100,000 gets trampled by the Vette. TVR is very much the same. I understand that the Tuscan sells for $70,000 overseas... The performance is practically matched by the Z06 - except top speed, in which the Tuscan tops out at around 190mph. Like I said, you won't ever being flying down the road at 190mph for any circumstance. The Tuscan is only tenths of a second faster in everything, and because of this, you pay nearly $30,000 more. Is it worth it? Well, I guess it could be, but its definately not a "best bang for the buck" deal, nor a compelete Vette killer. TVR has some very competitive cars in their grasp, but expect to pay more than $50,000 for something a smidgett quicker than the Vette.

A fair point but limited your challengers to just the ones that are in your own country is weakening the opposition surely?

Another manufacturer that will beat a Corvette is Noble... both of their cars are awesome and they only cost about £50 - 60K.

k, show me, what would beat a C6 I'm interested, lets remember to keep it in the same price range please. I'm not familiar with "Noble" but by the Term "both of their cars" Must mean they are pretty small, But please do show.

Edit: oh yeah, lets see their nuremburgian time too, they have to handle well too :)

Corvette's Nurem time: 7:57

I hope you were kidding there...:p

Anyway, to sound even worse, I would take a NSX over a 'Vette anyday, regardless of how much better the 'Vette is, or the fact that the 'Vette is cheaper.

This is why you don't see many Vettes (I've seen one C5) in the UK, because you can get relative or better performance from a TVR/Marcos/Noble/Lotus etc, probably for less. But thats because they have domestic advantage, i'm sure the Vette would in comparison to those cars if they were sold in America also.

Good for you 👍

Everyone has a choice :)

Oh yeah, and all those Noble Cars, have Ford Engines :)

1999 Noble M10 ~ Ford V6

2000 Noble M12 GTO ~ Ford Alloy V6

2002 Noble M12 GTC ~ Ford Duratec Alloy V6

2002 Noble M12 GTO-3 ~ Ford Duratec Alloy V6

2004 Noble M14 ~ Twin Turbo Alloy Ford V6

33,000 more here where the Corvette is domestic and the Noble is not, I’m thinking in Europe the Noble would be cheaper then the Corvette. Yeah 60 less hp, but also 1000lbs less, and .2 more on the skidpad. ¼ mile et is the same.

I haven't managed to find a "nurem" time for the noble... probably cos it's such a small company that they can't afford to lose a car for the testing round that track.

But seeing as the 3 cars (They've got a new one coming out) they have have all won major awards for drivability and handling so that's not one of the concerns that you need to have.

Actually I just looked into this... it looks like GM are set to sell the corvette for £45K in the UK!!! Which is a very very surprising price point... but probably only made available due to GM's size.

You forget to mention the tuscan's biggest advantage over the vette. It's weight. It weighs almost 600 lbs less. You should know all the advantages of having a lighter car. The tvr will be significantly faster on the track.

Yeah, do you have any 1/4 mile stats? All I know is that it's got the 7.0L LS2, but no times.

1/4 times are listed by GM as 11.7@127mph
