Hey guys,

here are the replays from yesterday's race session:

Qualifying: Hard work to get the tires warmed up and a good lap on the board in the shortened 10min session. @Tavilha (1:32.979) and @IBZ6L20VT (1:33.185) are more than a second faster than the rest, courtesy of some clever slip streaming.


Race: @IfAndOr set up the race so we can drive into the sunrise. What a view that was! @IBZ6L20VT spun on lap 2 coming out of turn 5 and handing me 2nd place in the process. He only needed 5 laps to catch me again, though, blasting past me on the start finish straight. Watch both of us barely making the 1st corner after braking as late as possible!

Sunrise. It was a 5 AM start.

A misty start which cleared as the sun broke over the horizon illuminating the scattered clouds with red and pink glow. Beat that GTsport.

I do like tweaking PC2's weather settings, I think sometimes more than the actual racing. I get a bit OCD trying to get it "just right".

If anyone wants to run it again (or missed it) it was this.

Unfortunately I lost the backgrounds as well as all the spreadsheets so no flame or wild blue backgrounds at the moment.

When you get to Germany in a couple of weeks @IfAndOr - I'll leave it to you to decide whether to include some darkness - we will be on the 24H layout!

Can I make a request for early dawn through to sunset? A bit of me thinks that the Nordschleife in the dark night be a bit difficult for us to race on.

As a send of to the series I was thinking of thick fog then a blizzard followed by thunder and lighting. At night. In the middle of winter. No?


(The GT3s will struggle keeping the heat in their RH tyres at night so I'll certainly shy away from it in them)

That's exactly what I had in mind

It does make me think though. Perhaps a crazy conditions race might be quite fun, (maybe for the extra races you may run Paul). If we kept it open for a variety of car classes, people could pick whatever car they would think most suitable. Would be interesting to see group C cars floundering alongside RX cars and track day cars or something. On a tight enough circuit it could be quite even.
