For supper last night I made maple orange chicken and fried rice. The chicken was... alright (perhaps I'm just resentful from the burning pan/hand incident) but the fried rice turned out pretty damn good.

Oh, I'm aware the cake looks like Kermit the Frog tood a dump all over it. It was still tasty. :)

Oh, my present I have yet to open. Too stuffed to open the box. Just gonna sit here and relax a bit, maybe take a nap.

Currently braising some pork belly in a soy sauce, red wine vinegar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger. That will be going with noodles tonight.

Subway for lunch, Burger King for supper. Being on the road all day sucks. :irked:

I'm eating blue berries as we .... uh, speak. They taste funny. I kept them in the refrigerator too long I guess.

Some of them are growing white fluffy beards.

Papa Smurf Berries?

Nothing to eat for me until dinner tomorrow. Just had to ask a question. Drinking Mixed Berry Powerade Zero, though. Smurf juice?

I just had two plates of lightly salted pickled onions with spicy V8 to wash 'em down with. Yum.

Last night was some homemade roasted garlic hummus and chips as an appetizer, followed by a venison pot roast for dinner.

I swear, if ever there is a meal meant for venison it is slow-cooked pot roast.

Stolen from a GIS, since I did get it as a Christmas gift:

...well, I'm eating the second half of it. Uuuuuugh...

Having a plateful of Mapo Tofu(spicy Sichuan dish of tofu and minced meat) with a bowl of rice for breakfast.

The last of the B-day leftovers. Still have cake and ice cream, though. Surprised the Booger Twins haven't finished it off!

Close. But no cigar. Ravioli stuffed with chopped pepperoni and oregano-laced tomato sauce (instead of ground beef and mozzarella) ain't pizza in a can. Quite funny though (in context) and an interesting protologism. Or would it be a neologism by now? The OED is fat enough as it is. What would happen if we topped a pizza with spinach-stuffed ravioli? :scared:

The Booger Twins would be all over that like white on rice.

When my kids were pre-teens they loved this sort of stuff. But now into their teens they're more fussy; gone are the tastes they had. Good thing is in Canada we have a wide variety of food to choose from - from Shawarmas to souvlaki.

Have a look at this:

Not sure whether to chomp on it or go looking for a cryo unit. Limited edition?

An obscenely thick pork chop, mashed potatoes and garlic peas.

I'd hate to think what that Pedobear flavored KitKat bar tastes like. :nervous:

Brunch was the last of the smoked chipotle turkey breast meat on whole wheat bread with cheese and Miracle Whip.

Dinner will be Fratello's with the GF.
