Think it started out in australia as an experiment and is now here to stay.

The canadian CYT range is a little different to what we started off with, but our CYT got an upgraded range last month.

We now have crispy chicken & grilled halloumi as the protein, Tasmanian brie cheese, Spinach and Chilli lime aioli

I want to torture you a little.
Here is what we have

So much is the CYT Burger? Too bad here in my country we don't have one but the no.1 seller here is the chicken fillet with ala king rice. Not the burgers though.

How much is that in US?

I love how they advertise it on a plate.

Like any maccas is going to serve food on a plate.

I don't think they serve chicken fillet ala king with rice in the US because Americans don't eat much rice compare to us which is a common practice that during breakfast, lunch, and dinner we should always have rice regardless what main dish we have. If this was in the US market, then I guess this would be a dollar only.

Actually I'm jealous because compared to our McDonalds, it seems is that our menu is very watered down compared to different Mcdonalds of different countries.

The McDonald's I used to dine in served plenty of meals on plates and provided real knives and forks too.

This morning I'm stuffing my face with the Dominos pepperoni I bought last night while drunk. I didn't even realise I had bought it until I woke.

I thought this might be fun to do, skip it if it's a skip. This is a dinner I'm making at the moment, it's something I do for myself when I have an undisturbed night.(cost 40 u.s. or less)

Items; Tomahawk steak(1.5lb), sea salt, fresh pepper corns, butter, beer, large yellow potato, small zucchini squash, shallots, mushrooms, grill with extra grill, natural charcoal(hippy store), hard wood, rosemary bush. I think that covers that part so...

1. Start a wood fire, once it's going add the charcoal.( I use white birch, apple would be good)
2. Once it's hot put a grill on the fire.
3. Soak some fresh rosemary branches in a bowl of beer and lay a thick bushel on the grill.
4. Put another grill ontop of that, place the spiced rub steak on that grill, do not cover, smoke out the neighbors.
5. Take all that crap off the grill, set the steak on a plate and wait for the fire to get hot again.
6. Cook the steak on the bottom grill for not more than 3 min per side, no bother turning it, just flip once long wise.
7. Set aside were the dogs can't get to it.( let it rest till room temp)
8. Cut the squash long wise and place it face down on the grill till it gets marks, take it off.
9. Cut the onion and mushroom up, make a boat out of tinfoil and dollop some butter in there(beer too), put all that with the squash back on the fire until it's to your liking.
10. Eat.

I left out the potato for some strange reason, start with the potato, poke holes in it, wrap it in foil and bake it around 500 deg F before you start any other part of the list. Take it out last.

And that is how I eat :D

..........

The main attraction, and look for that marble 👍 eating it right now.

My whole family went out to dinner tonight. I had Chesapeake-style crab cakes with a side of tomato and bean soup. Good food.

When I go back to the east coast I always go to Ocean City as I was born in Baltimore, the bars there used to have free blue crab cakes stuffed back in the shell like peanuts in other areas. Damn I miss those days, not the same of course but I bet you understand.

Hell, I even prefer red chowder ;)

After fasting all day in Miami for blood tests, I went to Calle Ocho and hit El Chef Ramon for some Pollo Milanesa assisted suicide. Cuban food is the only kind of cuisine where you feel like you're slowly going to die after eating. Sort of like Thunder from Big Trouble in Little China.

Well, as of Tuesday of last week we were supposed to have had beautiful weather over the weekend, so I thawed a bunch of meats with the intent of using my smoker. The weather chose to turn to crap at the last minute, leaving me with a lot of fresh meat to do something with.

Friday was our last day of nice weather. We made a fire and had roasted hot dogs and made s'mores.

I also tried a couple of new drinks I found at the store. I believe their names are false advertising.

image.jpeg

Saturday afternoon we had rain and wind, so I took my flat iron steak and a skillet and made fajitas, which I ate with a pita.

image.jpeg

And then I took the chicken that I was going to smoke for pulled barbecue and decided to make chicken noodle soup.

Sunday was annoying. Thunderstorm warnings with threats of golf ball sized hail. I stayed in, but the storms passed a mile north of my house. I never had more than a light drizzle. God hates me.

At one point we just went for frozen yogurt and I had pineapple in a cone.

image.jpeg

I did what I could with the two racks of ribs I had thawed, and did a dry rub recipe in the oven, along with some barbecue black beans and a vinegar slaw.

And just to save me from future, repetitive posts this week, these are all the leftovers I will be eating.

And #2
Philly sandwich, pretzels and a Gatorade

Do not take offense, I enjoy reading everybody's posts here and usually do the latter as above.

Last night pulled pork made from the "Power Cooker." It is effectively a pressure cooker. Boy that was awesome. And I am currently having it for breakfast. 👍

Angela's jumbo hand rolled burrito, with ground beef, refried beans, Spanish rice. Add a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and served with authentic style tortilla chips.

Bought some whole trout and baked them. Two were with just salt and pepper, butter, lemon slice, onion slice and a fresh sprig of rosemary. The last one, I tried to stuff in chopped crimini mushroom and the fish wrapped in bok choy; I wanted to test how the veggies would be like being baked together with the fish.

The trout with the veggie stuffed didn't turn out bad, but it wasn't anything special. The trout that was just rosemary, lemon and onion turned out absolutely fantastic.
