I. Hate. This. Thread. I always eat my food before thinking about taking a picture of it and then ugh. You get it.

Anyways, today, I had white chicken chili, and a cup of angel hair alfredo pasta. It was at a local restuarant for lunch with a friend.

Then I went to a few shops and found a hat for three dollars, yay.

Back to home later today and I decided to make tortellini ALFREDO. It didn't click that I had already had it once today until the water started boiling and at that point I was in too deep.

Twas a good food day. Now for some dessert? Any suggestions on simple to make desserts (preferably ice cream oriented)...? I don't cook much, but I really enjoy it casually for myself at home. I want to expand my repertoire.

Don't fret. Save for a singular instance where I was home and alone in the afernoon and wanted to show that I like to ensure all flavor groups are represented in my meals whenever possible, I simply won't take pictures of food before I eat it.

I'm totally lost.

I understand that. And you certainly won't be taking them after you eat it. ;)

I think I worded it correctly. There was one exception where I broke my rule, and I only did it because I was home alone. I did it to show that sweet, sour (tangy), spicy, salty and bitter were all present in the meal.

Sorry, I get more verbose when I'm drinking.

This is the best thread ever now. I can't stop laughing.

And for the record, I understand what you mean now.

I've eaten in a brilliant Laotian cafe a few times recently. Everything I've tried from there is good but my regular order is now om hed bai ya nang (mixed mushrooms soup) with ant’s eggs and steamed white rice (I know, not sticky rice but the steamed goes really well) and a bowl of malang tod (fried bugs of the day).

ah- I wasn't able to take a pic of the food before we ate it ;-;
I had some crispy calamari (calamary? calamarie? idk how to spell it in english) and some crablets, which is a first for the latter. Not quite used to eating crabs with their shells, but quite delicious :D

I made pork schnitzel with buttered herbed pasta covered in brown gravy (gosh, I love gravy) and corn on the cob.
Washing it all down with Captain and Coke.
Dessert will be Captain and Coke. :)

I can get it year round here. :D

Goddamn Yanks.

I can get it year round as well here in Canada, but only in those Freestyle machines. (Which there's only one to my knowledge in my 50,000 people city, at a Qdoba) So I stock up on bottles during the summer.
