And to continue the tea theme, I brewed up a batch of Lipton's in an attempt to quench the 90° day at the fair.

I forgot to pick up some ice tea, even after reading the posts on here, so I settle for the basic:

I also enjoyed the Mountain Dew Baja Blast from Taco Bell(exclusive to Taco B), earlier. It's hot for Oregon again, today. It sure makes the cold drink tastier(all Californians are like "duh! :dunce: ).

Its dinner time here and this tread is making me very hungry LOL

Chicken burger, chips and drink for me, and some Popcorn chicken from KFC for the little one.

So far all I've had is a cup of coffee. I should probably eat something. Or maybe I'll wait for:
home made hamburgers
There's not much that can trump a good burger. I'm going to the store today anyway. I might have to pick up a pound of beef and join you. :)👍

I was hungry for a homemade burger yesterday, but had my leftover pasta. It was spinach tortellini with homemade pesto sauce with sauteed garlic and onions.

If you like Big Macs, you like my homemade version of 'special sauce.'

2 Tbls. Wishbone Deluxe French Dressing
3 Tbls. Kraft Miracle Whip
1/4 tsp. Heinz Horseradish Cream (I use Bertman's Ball Park)
2 Heinz Dill Pickles finely chopped (or whatever pickle you like)
1/2 small white onion finely chopped
pinch of salt
three pinches of sugar

Make a few hours before and chill before using. You can adjust each ingredient until you get what you like. Take it easy on the horseradish cream. It can easily overpower everything else, which is NOT what you want.

The secret to making a homemade Big Mac is make the burger patty thin. Thick burger patties just don't work. Just add lettuce, a slice a cheese on the lettuce and one on the burger, and you're there. You can also add extra pickle slices and finely chopped onion, too. For best results, use a burger patty right off the grill to assemble the burger, and wait about 10 minutes before consuming. Your patients will be rewarded.

I was debating between a coke and a ginger ale, and decided on:

ginger ale.

I had bubble tea for the first time tonight, it was a green tea with sour apple flavouring in it and these red balls made of jelly or something floating around in it.

That's what it looked like. The balls were like really bad, hard caviar and the tea had about 9,000g of sugar in it. I think this picture sums up my reaction to it:

On the list of the most vile things I've eaten or drank this ranks just behind the Chicken McNugget and Lutefisk as one of the worse.

You had one in Michigan. I'm going to bet you haven't tried a good one, especially since I think the tapioca's supposed to be white or black, not red. Whatever.

In other word, you had a terrible one. The ones around here are good.

Considering I said I tried it for the first time, no I haven't tried any others and if I ever do it'll be way to soon. And I guess it was tapioca, it was just dyed or something. I haven't a clue. I can't imagine it ever to be good though, mainly because of the texture but also because it tastes about as vile as it looks.

And it was from Ann Arbor, which is a hella trendy college town.

HAHAHAHA Joey, not really a face of joy LOL, did you finish it?

For god sake no I didn't finish it. I drank about half of it because with new foods and drinks you need time for it to grow on you to see if you like it or not.

Joey's face looks like Lee Marvin after he had a stroke or something(I hope that's not how he died...).

I'm drinking a gallon of locally (tap)bottled water. It's so local, I can't even find a picture of it, not that you guys need it. :D

Eating a piece of bread, a piece of rotisserie chicken, and drinking some Tropical Fantasy kiwi strawberry.

Admittedly, sour apple sounds disgusting. I usually drink vanilla, so...

And yeah, I'm half Vietnamese, and the Vietnamese seems obssessed with making food that translates either extremely well or badly, so I've got some weird tastes. I actually wouldn't blame you if you thought they all tasted of fermented ass.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen red boba. I could conceive of it being made with azuki beans, but the color in that picture is way off – I’m assuming it’s artificial coloring.

Also it’s usually not a good idea to stick with the American-ish flavors. :p I usually go for taro, although I’ll generally eat just about anything with taro in it.

Had a hankering for a California burrito tonight, so went to Lolita’s per usual.

More pizza and pizza... This time its Beef Pepperoni and Margherita Cheese something. Tired of playing TOCA 3

Tried Carl's Jr Chili-Cheese Six Dollar Burger for the first time, last night. Not good at all. Disappointing, because I love their other Six Dollar Burgers.

grilled turkey sandwich with sauteed orange peppers, tomato, and goat cheese

The kids just devoured an entire batch of whole wheat and sweet potato gnocchi with tomato sauce and garlic bread. Oddly enough, they actually like love something that I don't that isn't fast food related.

It's looking like I'm just going to skip supper and go straight to cookies and cream ice cream cones with them in a few hours. :dopey:

Made my first gin and tonic. Now I know what to drink on a hotass day.

Think I just found the perfect In-N-Out burger… 3x2 animal style. 2x2 isn’t filling enough, and 3x3 has too much cheese (it starts to agglomerate), but 3x2 is perfect.

Beefeater and tonic is awesome. For a more subtle flavor, try Smirnoff or Kettle One and tonic. Awesome too and one of my old favs, next to JD on the rocks.

Now, it's once-in-a-blue-moon Basil Hayden's or a The Macallan. However, in recent years I'm tired of The Macallan. I like my scotch a bit more smokey and peaty. I'm told Laphroaig is the scotch I should try, but not before I finish the The Macallan bottle first. That's going to take some time, since I almost never touch the stuff.

I used Tanqueray. Next up will be Hendricks, but for another day of course.

Now I think it's time for bed. I feel all botanical-ey.
