Made a tuna curry (Yes I know but it is cheap.)
Also drinking green tea as I often am.

I had a pork belly, Brussel sprouts, kale and potato hash for bruch.

Lunch was the last of the steak from last night, and an orange.

Dinner will be some seasoned chicken thighs and some potato pancakes and green beans.

Dinner was smoked chicken noodle soup.

I got up rather late this morning and I'm not 100% awake. My body wants food but my brain hasn't made up his mind what it wants to eat.

Got a sudden craving so I ate a tin of tuna on it's own.

Now eating Laksa noodle soup. Tasty.

Has anyone had these salmon burgers from costco?

Picked up a pack so I can have a long term salmon solution. Canned salmon tastes too much like canned tuna. Hate it. Hope this works in a pinch for roughly the same price.

Canned salmon is only good for making salmon cakes. That's about it unless you like salmon cream cheese herb spread.

They're not bad. I'm most disappointed that they're pre-seasoned though. They taste like crab cakes, except with salmon. A little dry too. You lose that moist, buttery salmon texture and instead get dry meat and liquid while you chew. The juice that leaks out makes a good salad dressing on its own. So this will be quick and easy to make on top of a handful of spinach.

What am I not going to eat anymore for a period of time >>> kefir. Ate too much of the stuff and I don't like it anymore. :ouch:

Switching back to eating bread instead. Making it more difficult for me to post what I'm having for breakfast.

I hate making Jasmine. It takes forever and if you don't do it perfectly you get a goopy mess. And the pot is always stratified from perfect to goop.

Basmati comes out much more homogenous, is super easy to cook, and tastes great. It's much like cooking a pasta. You feel the rice for al dente by smashing a grain between your finger and thumb, and you know it's done. Jasmine turns into soupy oatmeal and then somehow morphs into normal rice. Drives me nuts.

I got a 20lb bag of Royal basmati from Costco. Comes out to 2 cents per serving or cup or something. Best poor food ever.

I'm a big fan of Vigo rices though. I've never had a bad product from them and everything cooks well every time. Easy, consistent, and delicious.

I don't have a rice cooker because I mostly like to make spiced rice. Basmati is ideal for this. It is the king of rices for sure.
