What are you Eating/Drinking?

Today was international day at school where every homeroom is a different country. The foods sampled were:
Indian curry - India
Maple syrup on pancakes - Canada
Edam cheese - Netherlands
Pizza - Italy
Tacos - Mexico

And the food unsampled:
Pickled fish - Finland
Some slop - Puerto Rico
Biltong* - South Africa

*I like jerky but I was stuffed at that point in the day.

I just decided that that Prosecco in the fridge had been there too long. And I’d run out of beer.

It’s ok. A bit dry. Doesn’t taste bad though.

Воскресный bread 2.0 by my Mrs. More rye flour, less nuts. Perfect.

I had no idea chicken jerky was even a thing.

Its Cake day in Chinese restaurant(first time in my 33y):

• deep fried pork in sweet and sour sauce
• odd mushrooms(tastes like ear)
• fresh cucumber salad with garlic
• eggplants, fish in batter
• chicken in orange sauce 😋
• Idaho potatoes(great combo with chicken)
• alcohol free mojito
• odd blue tea

Everything tastes good, but served in not most beautiful way. Can't say that I am in love with Chinese cuisine now, but its not bad at all.

The traditional Memorial Day meal of my people (old bachelors with an Asian grocery store in their neighborhood): oyako donburi, Lay’s Imitation Roasted Artificial Chicken Wings Flavor potato chips, and a bottle of barley tea.

Think about beer, but instead of hops, rye bread used. It's sweet,has <1% alcohol(early versions were 5%+). There áre fruit versions, similar to cidre.

Other than just drinking it we making cold soup(okroshka) with it - boiled egg and potatoes, fresh cucumber and herbs, boiled sausage.

I ate all the grilled pork this evening. And drank all the beers. Usual weekend.
