I was pretty knackered today, so I call this little number use what's in the fridge. So chicken tenderloins, chorizo, Aloha peppers, poblano peppers, and green onions with an avocado ranch salad. It went well with several Coronas.

For dessert last night, I had some chocolate chip cookies. It can be a once in a while treat for me. I eat the Chips Ahoy chewy ones, I can't eat hard food cause it will hurt my teeth.

Sometimes tastes change when you get older.
'Cos evolution, in the case of beer.

Kids tend to dislike bitter tastes - beer, coffee, dark chocolate - because most bitter stuff in nature is more rapidly poisonous than most other stuff and tiny bodies need less poison to die. We grow out of it because as we get bigger it takes more poison to kill us and we should have learned what not to eat by then.

It's weird the things my brain remembers.

And more alarmingly, the things it can't.

A new beer for me.
Georgetown Brewings “Meowsa” double IPA, 8.1% ABV
Poured into a 16oz tulip glass.

Appearance: it’s a hazy golden straw color with the tiniest carb bubbles. Very little head from a heavy pour.

Aroma: it has a very sweet smell. Similar to warn honey suckle flowers. Cannot pick up any alcohol notes.

Taste: shocker here. It’s unbelievable smooth for a double. I taste sweet honey suckle with a tiny hint of watermelon rind. It’s crisp and refreshing.
Easy on the palate. This is a scary beer. I could see myself enjoying 3-4 of these. Then I would fall out🤣
4.3 out of 5. Excellent beer!

I am 43 years old and bought it to try beer for the first time (non-alcoholic). I threw it in the trash after the first sip, it was sooooo bad. I don't think it has anything to do with age hahahaha

Now this looks like the beer for me.

Non-alcoholic beer is fine, you just need to find a good one. I drink non-alcohoic IPAs all the time since I absolutely love the taste of beer but I don't want to be crushing a bunch of 8%+ beers every night. So I do non-alcoholic and I can have a couple without any worry.

Which is more delicious, pork or beef?
I like beef better but I like variety.

Pork's flavour combines with spices and seasoning better. It also tastes better when smoked. When done right it's more interesting than chicken as an alternative to beef. There's room for both to those of us who are allowed to eat them.

For me it depends on the cooking method, quality of meat and seasoning.

I don’t like pork burgers because beef is king in that department. But I wouldn’t business with beef when making a Thai curry, because they’re so much better suited to pork or chicken.

I had a chicken Massaman curry for lunch today, and I don’t think I would have requested beef or pork instead.

On the beers now because I’m home for the weekend and enjoying some quality time with my cat.

I have four pictures of meals over the past week that I totally forgot to post. I'm definitely not one for the 'show your food' generation. Just put the food in my face hole.

Anyway, here's what I had for dinner last night:

Stewed steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli.
