Now i get paid to sit at a desk and get shouted at occasionally.

That doesn't sound too bad. 👍

Associates Degree in Advertising, 1998
Bachelor of Arts (Communications), 2001

After that I did get paid to sit on a desk and be shouted at occasionally, but I got tired of that. Nowadays I just work freelance as a copywriter (mainly advertising) and doing English-Spanish & Spanish-English translations. Although I kinda miss sitting at a desk in an office... working at home is not that fun after a couple of years.

I don't have a degree since I haven't had the opportunity to get one.

Well I'm 3 years off even starting, but I would like to do a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion (jet) mainly.
Where you planning to do that? Swansea? Brunel? Try and go for Brunel or Birmingham or somewhere like that, they're good. Had a look at Swansea...half the lecturers seemed to teach something to do with.......well it was nothing to do with Aerospace, even though it was an aerospace course.

danoff
and the math is wonderful.

Were you dropped at birth? Math......wonderful.......I think not.

;)

BS in communications (emphasis Public Relations), undeclared minor in Broadcasting.
ADN-Associate Degree Nursing. I do entertain the idea of going back and getting my BSN, or an MBA.

I am currently the clinical manager for a 16-station dialysis unit in Independence, MO.
When I'm not on the floor sticking people with really big needles, I'm preparing for CQI, (Continiuing Quality Improvement), Patient care meetings, Training schedules, and work schedules.
I'm also learning that treating patients is not where we make money. It's all in the drugs!!

I'm just (hopefully if I get the grades) about to start a B.Eng. (Hons) in Motorsport Engineering at Coventry University in October...if all goes well.

(I think i've posted this in another thread but) Me too, Results on Thursday :nervous:

Definetley not Swansea.

Probably Southampton, as it is one of the Universities recomended by the RAF. That or Aston.

Well you can get various sized degrees in shapes such as triangles squares and pentagons, also you can get them in angles, 90 degrees in a right angle...

Oh them kind of degrees....

I know a few people who want big bags of what he's ^^^ been smokin'

I'm thinkin about getting a mechanical engineering degree, but i don't really know a great deal about the job what i have read i've liked the sound of. Careers guidance really sucks where i am. I get AS level results tomorow/ Today, i really need to get things sorted but selecting my my futeure seems kind of daunting...

to those who are in/studying engineering, how is it? what you tell me may just prove life changing... (no pressure then :P)

Ohhh what you mean you're going for Motosport Engineering as well at Coventry, or just generally seeing what you got for your results? How'd you do?
If so I'll hopefully see you there in September mate, I got in :D!!! Coventry here i come!

Exige: Aston was another one I looked at and that was pretty good, but hard to judge for that kinda course as I didn't really look at the course or that department, I just looked at Automotive Product Desing. Aston is good though, you can pretty much get to anywhere from Birmingham.

Which is useful since going anywhere is better than being in Birmingham.

Which is why I'd prefer Southampton.

Gotta be near the coast, living inland scares me.

Ha ha ha, yeah that's one of the reasons as well why I didn't go to Birmingham. Jesus even Wales is better than Birmingham :D.

Meh, Cardiff is as gay as Bristol.

But I would say that as I am from Swansea.

Yeah same here, but I didn't have much of a choice as they were the only uni that would really take me :(. Will def miss the sea though.
Southampton isn't quite the golden sands of wales though, but it'l do.

Nah Swansea is ok, but never realised Cardiff was like the gay capital of wales. Or you mean gay as in.....crap = gay......you get the idea.

Scary. Well at least you guys have now started to move away from the whole beasitality kind of activities for your past times, to doing humans now. Still your (when I say your, not you personally) playing in the wriog kind of ball park. Oh well, it's not all that bad, hey I live in bloody Brighton! Lesbians are good though......can always welcome the lesbians.
I swear we've covered the whole english...welshy topic before....
Swansea beach is gorgeus though, best surf of my life I've had there.

Ahh **** I'm sorry mate, but yeah if anything it allows you to get a better understanding of the physics and maths required where as I'm just jumping into the deep end. That's what I was worreid about whether I would get the grades or not, but just scraped it. Nice one though, I'll see you there in September then.
btw have you sorted out your dorms yet, they haven't got back to me where I'm staying. I'll be really p*ssed off if I get a scrot hole.
