What degree do you have?

I'm thinkin about getting a mechanical engineering degree,but i don't really know a great deal about the job what i have read i've liked the sound of. Careers guidance really sucks where i am. I get AS level results tomorow/ Today, i really need to get things sorted but selecting my my futeure seems kind of daunting...

to those who are in/studying engineering, how is it? what you tell me may just prove life changing... (no pressure then )

I go to college for engineering (manufacturing, not mechanical) and I must say that it's not for everybody, but if you're interested in it, it can be pretty cool. I'm only going into my sophmore year right now, so I can't say that I know everything yet, you may want to get opinions from some of the members here who actually have engineering degrees.

The first year or two of engineering can be pretty boring. I never took any engineering classes my first year, My schedule was full with my math/physics/chemistry requirements, along with English and history. But now that I'm past most of that, I'm taking some more interesting, hands-on courses that pertain more to my major.

It's a lot of work, but if its something that you really want to do, I'd reccomend it.
