In its defence, I like the feedback coming through the wheel in the turns. Plenty of detail there.

A shame there's a really dull pair of 2 minute long straights in between them though. You know they're too long when 370mph feels boring.

I cant comment on the people who do draft races because that sounds rather interesting.

The thing is SSRX is a one trick pony. It feels like an extremely elaborate tomato and cheese sandwich. At the end of the day that's all it is.

As I said before SSRX is a side dish... you're supposed to run it along with the inner loop or maybe SSR7 etc.

Its like the Airfield test track in Forza 7.... its not designed for true racing.. not even a Nascar type event but I like the work they put into Airfield and SSRX.

I'd put it like this... how would you feel if they brand back Indianapolis or Daytona but ONLY had the speedway and not the inner circuits?

Its like that but worse because at least Indy and Daytona speedway satisfies my Nascar lust, small though it may be.

IMO SSRX is much much much less interesting than real world Nascar speedways.

More fun one make racing. Great place to test and find a cars max speed plus the distance markers are useful. Somewhere I would otherwise never use in single player mode. I hope that it signals the first of a handful of old favourites returning.

Interesting to find out the top speeds through drafting, as well as the maximum speed your car could go through gearbox tuning.

Managed to pull off extra 30 or 40 km/h off Gr. 4 cars on that for fun. (lol)

I mean I'm just treating the track as it is. A speed test type of track.

Do I like the track? After a few days of playing around with cars that can be tuned to N900-N1000 and some Gr.X cars like the P1 GTR, Zonda R, Dai Yoshihara's BRZ, etc., I'm starting to like the track bit by bit. The scenery also is a +1 for me and it lets me do good photos.

And at least this track finally lets me do a Tomahawk X custom one make race and even pull a Like The Wind type of race as well.

I love the scenery. If they were to add shorter, more technical layouts, then I'd be all for that. I'm just not that motivated to use it for actual lap racing. I don't drag, nor do I mess with top speeds, so SSRX doesn't really appeal a whole lot to me. I'm not upset by its inclusion, though. I understand that it appeals to others.

Great for me, i love the Test Courses from GT, SSX is too much longer but not matter, the battle with AI is great sometimes

I actually had some decent fun drag racing with myself last night.

I'd line up at the start before the lap timer starts then drag to the 1000M mark. End the race and go into replay and check exactly what time my front tire hit the 1000M line. I'd write that down then try another car. Can't say I'd be doing it that often but to kill some time last night it was pretty fun.

I understand the frustration of 'racing guys' about that track.

But for me, more connected in the beauty of cars freeroam and replays, the Route X is very cool.

But I think this track should have come along with a normal track in the same update, something like a bonus track...
I see this new track like a "filler" update. The main track wasn't ready, so here's Route X and give us one more month :p Another point: this track screams tuning, car modifications and turbo stage 3 and its the complete opposite of what GTSport should be.
Finally, replays at sunset and night time are simply breathtaking. As always, art direction is second to none. For me, it's like the first 3D photomode location.

What can I say?

It's free, man. That is why I can praise and praise PD.

It's amazing what PD does, deliver free circuits every month.

For Sport Mode players and Sport Mode usability:
Not a very good choice. Maybe..maybe it could be little bit interesting with the slipstream.

For Lobby players that just like to do drag racing, test max speeds, tune their cars and even cruise players:
It's a good choice. Really is.

So, if you don't like this track, just don't use it. Case solved.

A huge good looking area completely wasted.

Oh and i could drift the flat area of the entire corners in gt5, but now is impossible.

Can't stand it at all.

Its boring in time trial (as the vast majority of the track can be driven without touching the wheel), almost as boring to race on, is useless as a test track as its a one trick pony (and an inaccurate one at that given how wrong GT's top speeds have always been - blame the aero model for that).

Which leaves photo-mode......

A much better option would have been to redo Complex String and just wrap a high speed oval around it, that would be a real test track, and a closer match to proving grounds around the world.
