I think the hardest event I've placed first in is the Nascar Daytona race. Was the only race so far I had to restart several times to win, because I'd either get spun out by the AI or get passed on the final 500ft of the race to the finish line.
Nascar's daytona race, they keep ramming my car until I spin out whenever I'm in the lead.
Dream car championship, final race at Nurburgring 24hr. The Jaguar XJR-9 on pole and me in a stock Nissan Motul Autech GTR with racing mediums.
I got a good start, and the Jag fell back to third and I got into the lead. I had to make sure I had at least 5 seconds gap going onto the back straight each lap. The gap across the start/finish line was closing each lap, but in the end I won by 2 seconds over the Jag.
The Ferrari Formula events that are currently in the Seasonal Challenges. I still haven't managed to get gold on Tokyo.
Just found a brilliant race.
Take an Integra touring car. Fully equip it with all power mods, oil etc (Mine is now at 407ish bhp,) and throw a set of racing softs on it. Then take it to the Extreme Super GT event at Suzuka.
5 rules
- Make sure it's dry
- Make sure an NSX starts on the first 2 rows (or at least ahead of you)
- Do not run off the track
- Do not hit anything (the AI hitting you from behind or rubbing side by side is acceptable. A light tap to the AI is OK as long it doesn't send them off track, or give you the place)
- Do not actively block
I did this last night and it's an excellent race. The NSXs (Raybrig especially) will catch and pass you at a couple of points each lap, but you've got to maximise your speed through the esses, and superior braking power into the first corner and the Casio triangle in order to stay ahead.
At one point, I had the Arta NSX coming past on the outside, and the Raybrig coming past on the inside coming up to a corner. They both got a car length ahead entering the braking zone, and I shot back through the middle in a demon late braking manoevre. It was brilliant fun.
EDIT: All of that is based on my driving ability. If you're quicker than me, let the Raybrig start on the first row. Basically, the further forward the Raybrig NSX starts, the harder it is.
Ohhh yes. The GTR challenge at the special stage, and that focus challenge at madrid. Those were a pain in the ass! I had to restart each one like 5-6 times before I got gold. These were the only races I found challenging in A-Spec mode. The first few seasonal events were also satisfyingly difficult.
Not exactly trying to brag but, I golded all of them from the first try by a margin with the stock tyres/settings. You're doing something wrong. Keep trying. The Ferrari Formula events that are currently in the Seasonal Challenges. I still haven't managed to get gold on Tokyo.

FGT Championship round Cote D'Azur still cant get anywhere near 1st place.
Does that make sensee to you? You might want to read through your posts to make sure they're readable before you click the submit button in future.dang straight it the ai that likes to tap your reat tire and thats the end of you
You will not use textspeak (r, u, plz, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.
Well, if you look through my old posts (which you're not supposed to anyway) you'll find how much I hate the GTR, and AWD cars generally. Maybe I just suck at driving them, but they can be annoyingly unpredictable. The only two 100% predictable AWD cars are the V8 R8 and the Evolution X.I completed the GT-R even first time, won by about 0.2 seconds. The focus event however, I had about 20 or 30 attempts at that before quitting (the best I got was 2nd). Then the tuning restrictions were lifted and in a moment of madness I stuck on a set of slicks and won while practically dozing at the wheel![]()
Nope, DS3 here. I do fine with it, although I lost a few seconds off of most tracks because I'm careful with RWDs.You're using a wheel by any chance?
I'm using a controller and since I can't feel the weight of the car I keep pinballing from wall to wall on those last few bits of the Tokyo track.
